Nevertheless, Ryan “toughed” it out, like he always did, attributing the symptoms to perhaps a virus.
4 months would pass until he would seek medical advice.
On 9/16/2015 the headaches became so unbearable that Ryan was crippled with pain and nothing would bring relief. Upon a friend’s persistence Ryan began medical evaluation and MRIs of the brain, neck and abdomen.
The scans revealed “a bunch of lymph nodes lighting up all over the place in the neck and abdomen MRIs”
Ryan had Stage 4 B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and he was devastated.
Who would be there to take care of his wife? (sweet hearts since high school)
Who would be there to take care of his children?
Who would be there to provide for his family spiritually?
Refusing this death sentence, Ryan knew that things had to change.
Chemotherapy was always out of the question for him, and Ryan would not bet his life on what he refers to as “false treatments that have not worked for a hundred years”. In fact, Ryan’s own doctor stated that he had a higher chance of dying from chemotherapy than the lymphoma in the next 6 months.
Immediately he mapped out a holistic cancer survival strategy that he could implement right away.
He would be there for wife.
He would be there for his kids.
He would be there to provide for his family spiritually.
As Ryan says, “Cancer picked on the wrong dude.”
Fast Food Junkie Gets His Nutrition In Order
The first thing the Ryan changed was his eating habits. A lifelong fast food junkie, who survived of a steady diet of hamburger, french fries, hot dogs, cheese pizza, tacos, sweet tea, and sugar…never touching a vegetable.
All that was out the window and Ryan and his wife, Caroline, vigorously began researching the impact diet would have on his diagnosis.
Ryan’s research led him to investigate the power of the Gerson Therapy. An all natural protocol developed my Dr. Max Gerson in that utilizes an organic, plant-based diet, with raw juices, coffee enemas to strengthen the immune system and re-ignite the body’s ability to heal itself. While some patients were having success with Gerson alone, it became apparent to Ryan that he would need more than food to heal his cancer…

The Cancer Vaccine You Didn’t Know About
One such treatment that Ryan had been researching was Coley’s Fluid, also called Coley’s Vaccine, or Coley’s Toxins.
Invented in the late 19th century by cancer surgeon William B. Coley, the fluid contains bacterial toxins that literally infect the body and cause a fever, stimulating the immune system to attack malignant tumors, much like a vaccine but without any additives or adjuncts.
After 1965, when the American Cancer Society classified the it as an “unproven method,” Coley’s Vaccine became next to impossible to get in the US… but there was hospital in Mexico that had the Coley’s fluid and had been treating patients for over 38 years…
An Answer at CHIPSA Hospital In Mexico
The Centro Hospitalario Internacional del Pacifico S.A., or CHIPSA, is a cancer-research hospital in Tijuana that specializes in alternative medicine and advanced immunotherapy, including Coley’s Vaccine and other cancer treatments that Ryan had been researching. They have been doing this for over 38 years.
In fact the hospital was founded by Charlotte Gerson, the daughter of Max Gerson, the man who invented the Gerson Therapy!

Here Are The Treatments That Ryan Did
Gerson Therapy Immuno-Nutrition
Initially Developed by German born Dr. Max Gerson in the 1920’s for the treatment of tuberculosis and headaches, Gerson Therapy was applied towards cancer patients in 1928. It is a specific diet-based immunological detoxification and nutrition protocol that is the foundation of the treatments CHIPSA.

The diet includes raw and cooked foods in its three daily vegan meals, extraordinary amounts of unaltered foods are consumed as well as the intravenous inclusion of vitamin drips.
Additionally patients can expect anywhere from 12-15 raw juices a day, prepared specific organic fruits and vegetables. These fruits and vegetable are harvested for their enormous quantities of phytochemicals currently under study worldwide for exciting anticancer and health promoting properties, “super charging” the patient’s immune system.
Coley’s Mixed Vaccine
Coley’s Mixed Vaccine is comprised of a sterile(dead) mixture of gram-positive Streptococcus pyogenes and gram-negative Serratia marcescens bacteria. By introducing the killed bacteria into the body, Dr. Coley could mimic an immune response without the risk of infection.
Since cancer cells were formed undetected, the goal is to “unlock” the body’s immune system so that it can identify and kill the cancer cells.
- Coley Vaccine therapy is administered about 2-3 times per week at a dose which achieves a body temperature of between 39.5 °C to 41 °C (approximately 103 °C to 106 °F), while being monitored by qualified medical staff.
- The exact number of treatments per week may vary depending on each individual patient and other circumstances.

Coffee Enemas
Colon therapies and enemas can improve gut mobility and the frequency of bowel movements. Both assist in removing the toxic encapsulation of mucoid plaque stuck to the colon walls and further stimulate the removal of parasites from the gut.
This is essential to the success of the Gerson Therapy. The intense cleansing effect of the Gerson protocol releases toxins that have been built up over a life time into the blood stream and although the liver can purify the blood the accumulation of such toxins can be an overburden.
The enemas work by reaching the liver through a vein in the colon that goes directly to the liver. There the coffee works with the liver to force bile dump and empty the stored toxins. During an average treatment the blood will be cycled 5 times.
Autologus Tumor Cell Vaccine
The Autologous tumor vaccine is one of the most potent forms of immunotherapy that harness the body’s own immune system to fight cancer.
The vaccine is cultured from the patient’s own blood that represents his/her own unique internal bodily environment. The preparation follows procedures that favor the development of antigenic peptides and other immunogenic compounds aiming to enhance the body’s own cancer fighting mechanisms.
Clinical research suggests that the Issels Autologous Vaccine works in a very complex way at the levels of cell-mediated and humoral immunity, and stimulates the formation and activation of T-helper cells. It is cultured from the patient’s own blood that represents his/her own unique internal bodily environment. The preparation follows procedures that favor the development of antigenic peptides and other immunogenic compounds aiming to enhance the body’s immune functions.
The vaccine is sterile. Since it is custom prepared from the patient’s own blood, side effects typically associated with other treatments are not experienced. A slight rise in temperature, fatigue, and tenderness in the tumor area are possible for a period of 6 to 48 hours after administration.
Experience has that the effectiveness of the vaccine, or of any vaccine, is enhanced when it is administered within a comprehensive series of integrative immunotherapy and immuno-nutrition protocols.
Hyrdotherapy Hyperthermia
Hyperthermia (also called thermal therapy or thermotherapy) is a type of cancer treatment in which body tissue is exposed to high temperatures (up to 113°F).
Research has shown that high temperatures can damage and kill cancer cells, usually with minimal injury to normal tissues by killing cancer cells and damaging proteins and structures within those cells, hyperthermia may shrink tumors.
Numerous clinical trials have studied hyperthermia in combination with radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy.
These studies have focused on the treatment of many types of cancer, including sarcoma, melanoma and cancers of the head and neck, brain, lung, esophagus, breast, bladder, rectum, liver, appendix, cervix, and peritoneal lining (mesothelimoa). Many of these studies, but not all, have shown a significant reduction in tumor size when hyperthermia is combined with other treatments.
Laetrile
Laetrile (i.e. amygdalin or Vitamin B17) therapy is one of the most popular and best known alternative cancer treatments. It is very simple to use and is very effective if used in high enough doses and if the product is of high quality and if it is combined with an effective cancer diet and key supplements like the Gerson Immuno-nutrition protocols.
Laetrile is the patented drug made from the natural compound amygdalin, found in the seeds of many fruits, such as apricots, plum and peach pits, apple seeds, and quince, as well as in almonds. Laetrile is also known as Amigdalina B-17 or vitamin B17.
Amygdalin contains glucose, benzaldehyde, and cyanide. Cyanide is believed to be the active cancer-toxic ingredient in Laetrile. However, cyanide is toxic to all cells, so Laetrile’s overall toxicity is a concern which is why it MUST be administered in hospital setting and not at home. At CHIPSA each patient’s levels and dosage of Laetrile is custom tailored to their cancer.
In 1924, Laetrile was synthesized from amygdalin and promoted as a cancer treatment. By 1978, it was estimated that more than 70,000 Americans had tried it—despite its being banned in the US since 1963. Most people obtain Laetrile from Tijuana clinics, as the agent is still legal in Mexico.
Dr. Sigiura’s Research On Laetrile
Dr. Kanematsu Sugiura, spent most of his career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, authoring more than 250 papers and receiving numerous awards, including the highest honors from the Japan Medical Association for outstanding contributions in cancer research.
While studying Laetrile, which was previously written off as Dr. Sugiura discovered Laetrile to have very positive effects in preventing the spread of malignant lung tumors in laboratory mice.
In control groups, which received only plain saline, the lung tumors spread in 80 to 90 percent of the animals. But in those given Laetrile, the tumors spread in only 10 to 20 percent.
Recent studies confirm Dr. Sigiura’s findings:
- August 2014: In a new German study, amygdalin dose-dependently reduced growth and proliferation of bladder cancer
- May 2013: Amygdalin inhibits renal fibrosis in chronic kidney disease; researchers conclude it is a “potent antibiotic agent that may have therapeutic potential for patients with fibrotic kidney diseases”
- February 2013: Amygdalin induces apoptosis in human cervical cancer cells; authors conclude it may offer a new therapeutic option for cervical cancer patients
- August 2006: Amygdalin also induces apoptosis in human prostate cancer cells
- February 2003: Amygdalin from Prunus persica seeds (peach pits) shows anti-tumor effects comparable to epigallocatechin gallate in green tea
IV Vitamin C
The use of high dose Vitamin C for cancer mitigation has been studied for years. According to the United States government website on Cancer “Laboratory studies have shown that high doses of vitamin C may slow the growth and spread of prostate, pancreatic, liver, colon, and other types of cancer cells”
The National Institute of Health on Vitamin C…
“Many laboratory studies have been done to find out how high-dose vitamin C may cause the death of cancer cells. The anticancer effect of vitamin C in different types of cancer cells involves a chemical reaction that makes hydrogen peroxide, which may kill cancer cells.
The National Cancer Institute says laboratory studies have shown the following:
- Treatment with high-dose vitamin C slowed the growth and spread of prostate, pancreatic, liver, colon, malignant mesothelioma, neuroblastoma, and other types of cancer cells.
- Combining high-dose vitamin C with certain types of chemotherapy may be more effective than chemotherapy alone:
- Ascorbic acid with arsenic trioxide may be more effective in ovarian cancer
- Ascorbic acid with gemcitabine may be more effective in pancreatic cancer
- Ascorbic acid with gemcitabine and epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) may be more effective in malignant mesothelioma cells.
- Another laboratory study suggested that combining high-dose vitamin C with radiation therapy killed more glioblastoma multiformed cells than radiation therapy alone.”
PUVA Photopheresis
Photopheresis, or extracorporeal photoimmune therapy, is a, FDA approved procedure that is used to treat graft versus host disease (GVHD) or cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL).
During photopheresis, blood is taken from the patient’s vein and separated into its different components: white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets.
Rhite blood cells are treated with a medication called methoxsalen, exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, and then returned to the patient, along with your other blood cells. These treated cells stimulate the immune system to help fight cancer.
Hyperbaric Oxygen
The use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) has been approved for over a dozen health conditions such as, carbon monoxide poisoning, gangrene and injuries in which tissues are not getting enough oxygen.
Humans depend upon the consumption of oxygen all the time. Most atmospheric air is comprised of roughly 21% oxygen and, of course, oxygen is necessary for the production of cellular energy within the mitochondria of every cell. The use of pure 100% oxygen in a high pressure atmosphere (HBOT) has been shown to accelerate the healing process.
The hyperbaric chamber has pure oxygen administered at pressures 1.5 – 3 times the normal atmospheric pressure with treatment times ranging from 30-90 minutes. Administering oxygen at higher pressures causes up to 20 times more oxygen to be absorbed by the blood and transferred to injured organs and tissues. This speeds healing and recovery time in addition to other benefits.

Essentially cancer cells have a non-oxygen metabolism and have sugar as a preferred source of fuel. By flooding the patient’s blood with oxygen doctors are able to have a safe and non-toxic method for killing cancer cells in addition to all of the other benefits that come with oxygen therapy.
Healing at Home
After Ryan’s 3 week stay at CHIPSA, it would be up to him to continue to strengthen his body and immune system a follow a strict diet and supplementation protocol which included the following:

Ryan Almost One Year Later…
On Tuesday, June 7th, Ryan and his wife Caroline met with his oncologist for the usual monthly follow up appointment and a PET/CT Scan would be ordered to truly see what was going on inside Ryan’s body, and the results were shocking…
In the radiologist’s words: “Complete Resolution in some areas and Near-Complete Resolution in other areas!”
Here’s an image from the scan. The top pair is October 2015 and the bottom pair is June 2016.
Brain: Clear as it has been the past few scans.
Neck and Clavicle Area: There is no more than mild uptake worrisome of malignancy in lymph nodes around the clavicles. This represents complete resolution in the neck area and near-complete resolution in the clavicle. The SUV peaked at 2.5 on one node that is now smaller than the previous scans. The largest nodes previously measured up to 4.3cm, now biggest is 1.3cm. The nodes previously peaked at SUV levels of 5.4 (SUVs of less than 2.5 usually means no malignancy).
Chest: SUV levels peaked at 3.2 down from 6.2. All nodes are smaller or back to normal size. Resolution of most of the chest area and near-resolution of the right and left axillary.
Abdomen and Pelvis: There is no abnormal tracer in the liver, adrenals or spleen to suggest presence of malignancy. This represents resolution since the last scan as the spleen showed SUV uptake of 4.9 and it is now at 1.6. The spleen is currently 14cm where it previously was enlarged up to 20cm at different times (normal is 10-11cm). There was no mention of the liver being enlarged (it had been enlarged up to 24cm previously, normal is under 16cm). A large bulky mass of adenopathy was previously present in the mid abdomen where SUVs peaked at 5.8 and measured 10.5cm x 12.2cm x 14.8cm along with other clusters of adenopathy. In this last scan, the mass had reduced to 7.6cm x 9.8cm x 6.3cm and SUV peaked at 3.3.
There are still some swollen lymph nodes throughout Ryan’s body, especially the abdomen. There is marked reduction on all lymph nodes and others are completely normal. There are still some swollen lymph nodes that do not show malignancy and over time the body will absorb those tumor toxins. The spleen is no longer malignant.

We are not in any way, shape or form, stating that we have a cure for cancer. It’s very common to see alternative practitioners making claims that one substance or “thing” is an all out cure.
We know from our experience in treating cancer for 37 years , that cancer is very complex and always evolving. There is no 100% cure.
