U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time (usdebtclock.org)

Oil prices head toward a 2-week high as supply
worries fester and U.S. inventories decline.

If FY23 average oil price rises to USD 100 a barrel, it will pull down growth to around
7.6 per cent from 8 per cent estimated earlier, inflation will rise to 5 per cent from 4.5 per cent, and the current account gap will jump to USD 86.6 billion or 2.5 percent of GDP and can soar to 3.5 per cent if oil prices average at USD 130 billion.
The current U.S. stock market turbulence and the accompanying GDP show in what altered states the U.S. economy is currently operating. One would usually expect that
these two economic forces move in tandem, not in opposite directions.
The almost grotesque divergence between the U.S. stock market and the country’s real economy underscore dramatically just how unequal the country has become.
The United States is now a country where, according to the Fed, more than 50% of all U.S. households together own less than 1% of the nation’s wealth with poverty rates moving upward. Historical footnotes: The day that didn’t make the history books:

We remember the crashes:

• “Black Thursday” on October 24, 1929 – the first of several days that produced
the Wall Street Crash.
• The “Black Monday” of October 19, 1987, when the Dow Jones Industrial Average
(DJIA) plunged 22.6%
• September 15, 2008, when Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy and so triggered
what came to be known as the “Great Recession.”
• March 23, 2020, under Trump saved America and could have been such a day,
but it wasn’t. Before long, we may all come to understand that this was the day
when the Fed saved the global financial system.

Where is the darkest spot-on Earth?
Your question may need to get more specific on what you mean by “on Earth” and “dark”. That said, I can provide a few answers to the best of my knowledge as a science enthusiast. The obvious is that any space on Earth blocked off from direct and ambient light is the darkest spot, ie. caves. You could build a box in your home or seal off a room and shut out all the light, and it would be just as dark as any other darkest place on Earth for practical purposes.
If you mean among the darkest places on the terrestrial surface that is still exposed to ambient light, then you’re probably looking at a natural depression somewhere in the north or south pole in winter, where sunlight is absent due to the Earth’s tilt. This makes such depressions able to remain quite cold, and appear to be able to preserve ice in polar craters on planets like Mercury, right next to the sun! (Virtually no atmosphere there prevents atmospheric conductive melting of said ice).

Viewed from space, the darkest regions on Earth are likely the oceans.
They absorb much of the sunlight and are reflected back as very dark blue. Deep below the surface, no sunlight penetrates and a place like the Challenger Deep at 10,902 to 10,929 m (35,768 to 35,856 ft) below the surface is likely among the top darkest spots on Earth.

Finally, if “dark” pertains to more than just the visible light spectrum, you’re probably looking at an Antarctic polar ice cave in winter. Remember that light is much broader than what we see with our eyes and is just a function of specific wavelengths of electromagnetic energy.

Why not a deep cave in Earth’s crust?
Well, the deeper you go, the hotter it gets as you approach the mantle and the Earth’s core. That’s more light energy in the form of heat, albeit invisible to us until it’s hot enough to glow.

Why not the Challenger Deep?
It’s actually above freezing down there; around 35 degrees F.
Said ice cave, or just a spot in the ice sheet for that matter, where no sunlight penetrates, but also is cold enough (down to -60C) to maintain very little ambient infrared or heat energy, and is shielded enough by frozen water and rock to prevent most radiation except for cosmic rays and neutrinos — That place is possibly the “darkest spot” on Earth.

According to popular belief, darkness is especially deep before dawn.
What’s the origin of the phrase ‘The darkest hour is just before dawn’?
This is one of those improving proverbs that are the stock in trade of the contemporary glut of self-help manuals and talking therapies. The darkest hour has long been used figuratively to mean ‘the lowest ebb’ and there are many such examples of it in print
dating from the late 1700s.

The English theologian and historian Thomas Fuller
Appears to be the first person to commit the notion that ‘the darkest hour is just before
the dawn’ to print. His religious travelogue A Pisgah-Sight of Palestine and The Confines Thereof, 1650, contains this view:

It is always darkest just before the Day Dawneth.

The meaning and origin of the expression: The darkest hour is just before the dawn
The source of the proverb isn’t known. It may be Fuller himself, or he may have been recording a piece of folk wisdom.

In 1858, much later than Fuller of course, Samuel Lover attributed the notion to the Irish, in Songs and Ballads:

There is a beautiful saying amongst the Irish peasantry to inspire hope under adverse circumstances:- “Remember,” they say, “that the darkest hour of all. is the hour before day.” Another such similar proverb is – Every cloud has a silver lining!

Things always seem at their worst just before they begin to improve.
This proverb is often used to give hope to someone who is experiencing
a time of trouble or difficulty:

What’s the meaning of the phrase ‘The darkest hour is just before the dawn’?
There is hope, even in the worst of circumstances.

Proverb Similar to The darkest hour is just before the dawn in meaning is-

In reality, it depends mainly on the Moon and the lights of the city.
According to a popular Israeli song, written and composed by Shalom Chanoch,
It’s always darkest just before dawn.”
But is this accurate? The answer is unequivocally no. The brightness of the night sky
varies depending on the Moon’s appearance, as well as on artificial lighting on the ground. Without moonlight or light from artificial sources, the light produced from stars does not change at all during the night.

The zodiacal light is a weak light resulting from particles of interplanetary dust that is visible on very dark nights. It can be seen mainly in the western sky after sunset and in the eastern sky before sunrise, making the sky look a little brighter than the midnight sky.
The difference is barely noticeable when viewed from an urban setting, where light pollution from streetlights, house lights, billboards, etc., affects the sky’s brightness.

Rather, it is the Moon that particularly affects the brightness of the night sky.
During the two weeks following a new moon, it can be seen after sunset – but not before sunrise. At such time, it is darker before dawn simply because the moon cannot be seen. After the middle of the lunar month, the moon will also be seen in the sky before sunrise, so that the hours just after sunset will be the darkest.
Therefore, believing it is darkest before dawn isn’t really based on anything. What can be said with certainty is that it is coldest before sunrise. This is because the Earth’s surface – heats up during the day and then gradually cools during the night. Just before sunrise the ground has cooled for the longest period possible, so the temperature will then feel coldest compared to the beginning or middle of the night.

Why does the morning low temperature sometimes occur after sunrise?
By The Weather Guys (wisc.edu)

Those who keep a particularly vigilant eye on the weather might have noticed that
on certain mornings, in all seasons, the lowest temperature is often recorded just after sunrise. One of us had a morning paper route as a boy and was puzzled for years about
this seemingly counterintuitive phenomena.

How could the temperature continue to fall for the few minutes after sunrise on a cold winter morning?

The answer lies in the fact that the Earth and the sun radiate different kinds of energy
and one needs to consider the budget of this energy to make sense of this recurring observation. On a clear, calm winter night the Earth’s surface radiates infra-red energy upward towards space.
With the sun already down, there is no shortwave solar radiation (and only a very little infra-red energy from the overlying atmosphere) directed downward toward the surface. Consequently, with each passing second, the surface emits more energy than it receives, and the surface temperature drops.

This continues all through the night with the accumulated loss of infra-red energy from the surface accounting for the continued decrease in the surface temperature. When the sun finally rises above the horizon and spreads the first faint rays of solar energy across the surface, there is finally some incoming radiation.
However, for several minutes the meager amount of incoming radiation is not sufficiently large to counter the amount of infra-red energy still being emitted from the surface.
As a result, the surface temperature continues to drop even in the face of the newly risen sun. There is a saying “the dawn dip” and it’s based on reasonable principles in physics.
Because the argument goes, as you speculate — where does the energy on the Earth come from and the temperature it comes from the Sun’s radiation warming the Earth.
When has the earth not had any heat coming in for the longest?
By definition that must be just before dawn because that’s when it’s been dark for the longest, therefore, it’s going to be coolest then. But there is the observation that, certainly under certain circumstances, it can get colder just ahead of the Sun coming up and as the Sun rises.

It’s darkest as long as the sun is more than 18º below the horizon. What time that happens depends on your latitude and the date. The period of darkness is distributed equally either side of midnight, so it’s not darkest before dawn really. It’s much lighter when the moon’s above the horizon; the time that happens varies during the month.

And what time’s midnight?

Time zones are complicated, so forget them; ignore the local time.
To find the very middle of the night, set your clock to GMT, note your longitude,
then turn the clock back 4 minutes for every degree West of the prime meridian,
or forward 4 minutes for every degree East. Your clock will be likely to be way out
of sync with your local time, but it’ll be midnight when it reads 12:00.

For an excellent website that will tell you all you want:
Twilight, Dawn, and Dusk

The darkest hour of night is the middle of the night.
Anyone who has ever stayed up all night can confirm that,
Dawn becomes imminent long before it actually happens!

image.png
On certain mornings, in all seasons, the lowest temperature is often
recorded just after sunrise. (Photo credit: State Journal Archives)

Now why should this be?
Well the argument put forward is that although you are still in darkness, there’s
a patch of the Earth’s surface quite close to you that’s now being illuminated and irradiated.
So, temperatures there are going to start changing reasonably fast and because the Sun’s heat is warming the Earth’s surface this is, in turn, warming the air above the Earth’s surface this is, in turn, creating a pressure difference around the Earth’s surface, that pressure difference is going to drive winds.
And this is going to draw colder air in to replace the warm rising air which is going to include pulling air in from where you are, so somewhere colder could pull it air in over you and make you even colder than you were to start with.
So the argument goes that it does get a little bit colder, paradoxically, just as the Sun rises because you get these air movements which include movements of cooler air, which will chill you out a little bit. Reason: This happens when energy from Earth’s surface and the air above it radiates into the upper atmosphere, causing cooling at and in the air near the surface. The longer the night is, the more intense this effect is, so that’s one reason the temperature will drop right before sunrise (as the night goes on).

Why does it always get coldest and darkest right before dawn.

The true meaning of “It’s always Darkest before the Dawn”

This famous quote is truly rooted in energy healing. (Quantum physics)
It is a Universal concept of cleansing of the “Self” and ascending to a higher
level of consciousness.

Energy Healing ~ IT’S ALWAYS DARKEST BEFORE THE DAWN | Bbberg’s Blog (wordpress.com)

In his lecture on Nichiren Daishonin’s teaching
(*A Buddhist monk who lived in thirteenth-century Japan) in the May-June issue of Living Buddhism: President Ikeda states, that the devilish function in life, known as The King Devil, works to disrupt our practice and erode our faith

This Devil “can work in extremely subtle and insidious ways and freely manipulate others”.
From the Gosho: (The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin) The Three Obstacles and Four Devils.

There is definitely something extraordinary in the ebb and flow of the tide,
the rising and setting of the moon, and the way in which summer, autumn, winter, and spring give way to each other. Something uncommon also occurs when an ordinary person attains Buddhahood. At such a time, the three obstacles and four devils will invariably appear, and the wise will rejoice while the foolish will retreat.

From the book “Living with Joy” by: Sanaya Roman: pg. 183
Manifesting is a matter of trusting and believing in yourself and holding that vision in front of you. There are many reasons to stop believing and trusting in the universe and yourself, but there are also many reasons to continue. You are often tested by the universe to see how much you believe in your vision.”

From page 191 of this same book by: Sanaya Roman
“Life change and transition are often preceded by confusion, by a sense of loss or pain, or by a sense that things are falling apart. And from page 192 (which in my opinion refers to what the Gosho states about the wise rejoicing). It gives you opportunities to be even more committed to your vision, even clearer on your intent.

“Honor every setback, every single challenge or difficulty, for it strengthens your purpose.
If life were too simple, most of you would be complaining of boredom.

Honor your challenges, for those spaces that you label as dark are actually there to bring you more light, to strengthen you, to firm your resolve, and to bring out the best in you.” Also, from the book  “The Game of Life” by: Florence Scovel Shinn. Pg.18-19
“Getting into the spiritual swing of things is no easy matter for the average person.
The adverse thoughts of doubt and fear surge from the subconscious.
They are the “army of aliens” which must be put to flight.
This explains why it is so often “darkest before the dawn.”
A big demonstration is usually preceded by tormenting thoughts.
Having made a statement of high spiritual truth one challenges the old beliefs in the subconscious, and “error is exposed” to be put out.
This is the time one must make his affirmations of truth repeatedly and rejoice and give thanks that he has already received.
Also, on page 19 of the same book by: Florence Scovel Shinn,
“Every great work, every big accomplishment, has been brought into manifestation through holding a vision, and often just before the big achievement, comes apparent failure and discouragement.”

And from page 50
“One of my students asked me to explain the “Darkness before the Dawn.”
I referred in a preceding chapter to the fact that often, before a big demonstration “everything seems to go wrong”, and deep depression clouds the consciousness.
It means that out of the subconscious are rising the doubts and fears of the ages.
These old derelicts of the subconscious rise to the surface, to be put out.
She further states something once again very akin to the above Gosho
(The wise rejoice etc.)
It is then, that man should clap his cymbals, like Jehoshaphat, and give thanks that he is saved, even though he seems surrounded by the enemy (the situation of lack or disease).
My own (the author B.B. Berg) experience is this.
When we are releasing negative energies, negative thought patterns from the subconscious; it comes up through our ROOT CHAKRAS, upwards through
our bodies and out through the CROWN CHAKRA!
That’s why when it is on its way out “All my stuff is now in my face!” so to speak.

This is the precise moment to let it go.
We can relax and let it flow out of us like the flu, but the unfortunate norm is: Wanting to avoid this discomfort, we do the nonproductive thing which is to pull it back into our lives.
Perhaps this is the reason why many times we have this wonderful opportunity to lighten our lives and we DON’T.
We are just on the verge of changing our entire vibration and we don’t because of the discomfort. We pull back into our lives this negativity because it’s familiar, it’s our “normal” comfort zone regardless of how unhealthy it truly is to our lives.
Therefore, NO CHANGE occurs, NO TRANSFORMATION.
Any addict can tell you about going through withdrawal.
It’s extremely uncomfortable, it’s a deep, deep Detox.
Why should it be any different releasing toxic thoughts, toxic beliefs?
This is why it is so helpful to study. This is why I read and write,
to use this wisdom to hang on during this process.

As Florence Scovel Shinn said way back in 1925:
“This is the time one must make his affirmations of truth repeatedly
and rejoice and give thanks that he has already received.”

Here are some powerful Affirmations that have helped me. (the Author B.B. Berg)
Thank you for these obstacles for they are truly the answer to my prayer!
I am now vibrating as high as my dreams!
I am stronger than this!

I’VE ALREADY WON!
The quickest way to transform these feelings or attitudes is to keep chanting/praying/affirming until you realize the cause of these uncomfortable feelings, root them out and release them.
Of course, this will be exactly when you will find it the most difficult time to affirm. You are on the edge of transforming an issue or belief system in your life that has kept you from your Joy and Bliss.
It may well feel like pulling teeth. At such times as the Gosho states: obstacles and devils arise.
Your mind will trick you into believing it’s better to just lie down and watch T.V. RATHER THAN FACE THIS DISCOMFORT AND TRANSFORM IT. This is not the truth, this is your wondrous opportunity to BREAK THROUGH THE MIRE AND REVEAL YOUR DIVINE SELF.

Electric vs Hydrogen Vehicles

How the price of crude oil affects local operators in America
How long and how much to charge an electric car – Search

Plus: These charts show how much it costs to charge an EV vs. refueling a gas vehicle.
By John Rosevear

While gas prices have soared in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, so have electricity prices – particularly in some parts of the U.S. that have been big markets
for Tesla’s EVs.
So, is it still true that it’s much cheaper to “refuel” an EV? CNBC crunched the numbers.
It has been true for years: Mile for mile, it’s cheaper — generally much cheaper — to recharge an electric vehicle than it is to refuel one with an internal-combustion engine.
That has been a key selling point for Tesla and other EV makers, particularly in times when gas prices have soared, such as now.
But this time there’s a wrinkle: While gas prices have indeed soared in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, so have electricity prices — particularly in some parts of the U.S. that have been big markets for Tesla’s EVs. That raises a question:
Is it still true that it’s much cheaper to “refuel” an EV?

The charts below help us find the answer.
These charts, using nationwide figures, provides a baseline.
Cost of charging EV vs. gas prices (cnbc.com)

The others use data specific to Boston and San Francisco, two markets where EVs are popular — and where electricity tends to be more expensive than the national average.
The answer in all three cases is that — even with regional surges in the price of electricity — it’s still quite a bit more expensive to fill your gas tank than it is to charge your EV’s battery.

Related video: How to get better mileage in your car amid high gas prices (TODAY).

Electricity rates have roughly kept pace with gas price increases in Boston and
San Francisco. Yet, on average across the U.S., adding 100 miles of range in your internal-combustion vehicle has become more expensive, relative to charging an EV an equivalent amount, over the last couple of months.

Is that likely to change?
While oil prices are nearly certain to fall in coming months as producers increase output, it’s unlikely that the price of electricity will rise enough to make EVs less affordable over their life cycles than internal-combustion alternatives.
Using February data, Jeffries analyst David Kelley recently calculated that the total lifetime cost of ownership of an EV is about $4,700 less than that of an internal-combustion vehicle.
He said that cost difference is likely to increase as more EVs come to market —
and as battery prices continue to fall — over the next couple of years.

How we crunched the numbers.
We had three questions in mind when we put together these charts:
How much does it cost to add 100 miles of range to the average ICE vehicle
and the average EV?

How have those costs changed over the last three years?
(Going back three years to February of 2019 gives us a pre-pandemic baseline.)
How have those costs varied between different parts of the U.S.?
For gasoline, the Environmental Protection Agency reported that the average new vehicle sold in the U.S. in 2020 had a combined fuel-economy rating of 25.7 miles per gallon. Driving 100 miles in that average vehicle would use 3.9 gallons of gas.
(Figures for 2021 haven’t been released yet.)
On the electric-vehicle side, the EPA’s efficiency rating for EVs — called “MPGe”,
for miles per gallon equivalent — gives consumers an idea of how far an EV can travel
on 33.7 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of charge. Why 33.7 kWh? That’s the amount of electricity that is chemically equivalent to the energy in a gallon of regular gasoline.
The average MPGe rating for 2022-model-year EVs sold in the U.S. is about 97,
so driving 100 miles in that hypothetical average vehicle would use 34.7 kWh of electricity.
The charts above compare how the price of 3.9 gallons of gas has changed relative to the price of 34.7 kWh over time, using monthly data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (for gas prices) and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (for electricity rates) from February 2019 through February 2022.

Are Hydrogen Vehicles Better Than Electric Vehicles?
BY DAISY EMAH-EMAH

Which do you prefer – Hydrogen vehicles or Electric vehicles?
There is always this silent competition between Hydrogen and Electric vehicles.
Some parties think that Hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles have no future while others think hydrogen vehicles are going to replace electric vehicles. Whatever the case may be –
let us delve deeper into these vehicles and you can determine the answer for yourselves.
An electric vehicle uses a lithium-ion battery to supply power to a motor that powers the different components of the car.
They are either partially or fully powered by an electric motor. Electric cars are reliable, can run silently, and produce no emissions. Their batteries are recharged at a charging station. Hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles send power to an electric motor by hydrogen reacting with oxygen to produce electricity and water. The electricity powers the vehicle while the water is released as a by-product. They are refueled with hydrogen at refueling stations like gas or diesel and at a short period of time – less than 10 minutes.

Electric vs Hydrogen Vehicles – Similarities and Differences.
The greatest similarity between both vehicles is that they produce little to no emissions when compared to gas or diesel-powered vehicles. This makes both electric and hydrogen vehicles better for the environment as they produce greener energy and restore balance to the environment.
An electric motor is found in both electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles. They both require electricity to power the electric motor and other components on the vehicle –
the mode of producing electricity differs…
Both electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel-cell are relatively safe for use.
There have been concerns about the dangers of hydrogen in case of a fire and overheating of lithium-ion batteries.   As with any fuel source, hydrogen and electric vehicles have their own safety challenges and automakers keep working at improving vehicle safety for their users. Electric vs Hydrogen Vehicles – Differences – Bing video
Although both vehicles are good for the environment, there is still a lot of difference between the two.

1. Price/No of Refueling Stations

Electric vehicles are cheaper than Hydrogen-powered cars. It is expensive to build hydrogen plants in many locations and this makes the production of hydrogen fuel-
cell more expensive.
There is also a limited amount of hydrogen refueling infrastructure and building
more will take time and a lot of money. Compared to an electric vehicle which has
a good amount of recharging points across the US and other countries.

 2. Production Process
Hydrogen is not so green – they are clean when used to power your vehicle but
produces a lot of pollution in the manufacturing stage. You need a lot of energy and fossil fuels to produce hydrogen to power vehicles, and the process is a great contributor to global warming.  An electric car battery can be charged using wind or solar making it cleaner and greener for the environment.

 3. Refueling Time
It takes less than 10 minutes to refuel hydrogen-powered vehicles compared to electric vehicles 2 to 17 hours depending upon the charger) that take a longer time to recharge. This is because hydrogen cars are much lighter than power-packed batteries.
Electric vehicles are better suited for small-sized vehicles while hydrogen fuel-cell
can be used to produce vehicles of different sizes.

 4. Range
Hydrogen-powered vehicles offer greater ranges than electric vehicles.
Hydrogen-powered vehicles have a longer range with less refueling frequency,
unlike electric vehicles. According to Automotive Technologies, most fully electric vehicles travel between 100-200 miles on a single charge. While hydrogen-powered vehicles can travel 300 miles before a refuel is needed.

Electric vs Hydrogen Vehicles – Which is Better?

There are key differences between both vehicle types, each having its own pros and cons. These challenges can be overcome as technology advances and improvements are made to existing vehicles.
Both are good options for an environmentally friendly vehicle, but your financial ability would come into play when choosing the vehicle that suits you.
Electric vehicles are more popular and easier to have readily available with charging stations for users. Hydrogen is not as popular which makes it more expensive and the limited availability of refueling stations should be considered when making your choice.

Technology is evolving and the world is moving towards emission-less driving – the future is bright for electric and hydrogen vehicles. More automakers are investing in making this future possible – where gas and diesel engines are replaced with environmentally-friendly vehicles.
The question should not be which vehicle is better but how can both coexist to create an emission-free environment. Hydrogen fuel-cell should not be an alternative to electric vehicles but should complement each other. Electric cars work better as smaller-sized vehicles because of battery weight – hydrogen fuel-cell are better-suited SUVs and trucks due to the lightness of hydrogen.

Hydrogen vehicles versus Electric vehicles – Bing video

Why didn’t hydrogen fuel cars take off?
First off, I don’t think it would be accurate to say that *any* alternatively fueled vehicles (electric, hybrid electric, fuel cell, natural gas) have “taken off”, even though for almost all drivers, hybrids and electrics make more sense than gasoline powered vehicles.
Electrics had their best year in 2017 and comprised approx. 1.2% of new car sales.
Hybrid Electrics are on the decline but even in 2013, their best year, they were only
3.19% of new car sales. Neither/none of these technologies could be considered as “taking off” at this time.
“Hydrogen powered vehicles” are Fuel Cell ELECTRIC Vehicles (FCEVs). Note we are not talking about using hydrogen in an internal combustion engine like BMW did a few years back. That’s wasteful from an efficiency standpoint. FCEVs have multiple issues, but one of the BIGGEST issues is *NOT* efficiency!
Fuel cells already achieve 55% and are predicted to get to 60–70% efficiency. We must remember that hydrogen is NOT an energy source, rather, it is an energy storage system, or medium (some have argued that by this definition, gasoline is also NOT an energy source as it takes a significant amount of energy to turn mined oil into gasoline).

Another answer suggested that lithium-ion batteries had an efficiency of well over 90% and then went on to describe hydrogen as significantly less efficient due to the “electrolysis of water” as being “a rather inefficient process”. That’s NOT how you make hydrogen and if you are going to include the making of the hydrogen then you also must include the efficiency of “making” the electricity for a fair comparison with battery powered electrics!! Yes, when hydrogen is generated from fossil fuels there are losses involved but it is LESS energy intensive than making gasoline from that same barrel of oil. The ADVANTAGE of hydrogen is that it can be made from every energy source!

So, you have a barrel of oil?
Better to turn it into hydrogen than gasoline. Natural gas? Although it would be best to use it in a modern gas turbine power plant to generate electricity (perhaps for an Electric Vehicle) it is still more efficient to use natural gas to make hydrogen for a FCEV rather than to combust said natural gas in a natural gas vehicle running at 30% efficiency. Solar, wind, coal? First choice is still to make electricity but all these sources can be used to make hydrogen. Try making gasoline using coal.
On vehicle hydrogen storage is a real issue as is the non-existent infrastructure of filling stations, pipelines and manufacturing facilities but it’s not as dire as others have claimed. The biggest misconception is hydrogen volatility/inflammability. Yes, extremely explosive, but nowhere near as dangerous as gasoline which is heavier than air and has a high vapor pressure. If there’s an ignition source, gasoline will find it. If there are passengers, gasoline will find them. Hydrogen is much lighter than air and rapidly dissipates.

Not certain but I think the current price at the pump for hydrogen is between $13-$16/kilogram and 1 kg contains roughly the same energy as a gallon of gasoline but because a fuel cell is 2.5 x as efficient as an IC engine, 1 kg hydrogen will take you more than twice as far. High pressure on-vehicle storage is expensive but state of the art is 10,000 psi typically holding 5 kg of compressed hydrogen good for a driving range of more than 300 miles on one tank. It takes roughly five minutes to refuel a tank of hydrogen, – approx. the same as a gasoline tank.
Ultimately, the main workings of a fuel cell are too complex/expensive at present. The proton exchange membrane requires rare earth elements and the system is dependent on multiple air compressors and electric motors. Also, to operate at maximum efficiency and provide the same kind of instant acceleration we have become accustomed to, a small battery pack and associated power conversion electronics are required. I wouldn’t count them out just yet but FCEVs have a long way to go for popular acceptance.
edit: some people want me to address RNG (not RingCentral Inc. or “random number generator”), -Renewable Natural Gas. Usage of renewable natural gas is growing and that’s great but like all lighter than air hydrocarbons, if the goal is to propel a vehicle, the most efficient usage is to use RNG to produce electricity in a modern gas turbine for an EV, the second choice would be to further refine the methane (basic component of RNG) into Hydrogen for use in a fuel cell and the third choice is to explode it in a conventional natural gas vehicle. Because of system simplicity, this is often done as it’s very easy to gather RNG at a waste disposal center, compress it, and fill your Nat gas compatible vehicles on site. Although this provides a great solution for a localized excess of natural gas, it’s not a technology that will “take off”.

Why is blue hydrogen cheaper than green hydrogen?

What is blue hydrogen
Blue hydrogen is when natural gas is split into hydrogen and CO2 either by Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) or AutoThermal Reforming (ATR), but the CO2 is captured and then stored. As the greenhouse gases are captured, this mitigates the environmental impacts on the planet.

What is green hydrogen, and why are we hearing that green hydrogen’s time has come?

Thanks for the question. It is always rewarding when you find someone truly ignorant. Green in the parlance of energy politics means fueling industry and transportation from sources other than oil. It also means burning something other than hydrocarbons (oil and gasoline) in the mistaken belief that the resulting carbon dioxide is a pollutant.
The only sufficient source of energy available today is nuclear power plants.

However, these are abhorred by the green advocates. Enter green hydrogen, a pollutant free source. It burns hot and efficiently, and the product is water. Not so fast. Where do we get the hydrogen gas? It is a byproduct in the refinery of oil or from expensive electrolysis of seawater. So, green hydrogen is a non-solution to the progressive utopia.

Today, green hydrogen is 2-3 times more expensive than blue hydrogen, produced from fossil fuels in combination with carbon capture and storage (CCS). The production cost for green hydrogen is determined by the renewable electricity price, the investment cost of the electrolyzer and its operating hours.

On the other hand, green hydrogen is produced through electrolysis which is a process of separating water into hydrogen and oxygen. As per a December 2020 report by the International Renewable Energy Agency, today, green hydrogen is 2 to 3 times more expensive than blue hydrogen. … This produces only hydrogen and oxygen.
More than 90% of hydrogen produced in the world today is by using fossil fuels – coal, oil or natural gas – in a process known as reforming – in which fossil fuels are mixed with steam, and heating the mixture to about 800°C which results in production of hydrogen and carbon-dioxide. The carbon dioxide is let into space where it contributes to global warming.

There are different ‘colors’ of hydrogen. Of course, the color simply denotes the way it is produced. The most common method of production is the one generated from natural gas – a fossil fuel – and this is grey hydrogen.
Hydrogen produced using lignite coal or oil as raw material is brown
Hydrogen is also produced using bituminous coal – this is black.
All these processes result in emission of carbon dioxide and so they
are not the right way of using hydrogen towards zero emission or ‘going green’.
Green hydrogen is produced by using electricity generated by wind turbines or solar panels – zero carbon emission – to split water into hydrogen and oxygen by electrolysis – an expensive process. That is the reason why this is more expensive than the other grades.
The only alternative at present is blue hydrogen which is produced by using fossil fuels as raw materials, but the carbon dioxide is not let into the atmosphere.

Instead, it is captured and stored underground.
That’s the reason why blue hydrogen is cheaper than green –
but more expensive than the other grades noted above.
Generating Hydrogen from nuclear-generated electricity, or directly from
the heat from a high-temperature reactor, is possible and carbon-free. So far so good.
That is indeed green by most definitions, although some prefer to call it pink hydrogen, and they may or may not admit that it is also green by their definitions
but will probably just not answer the question.

Which is why the question is such a good one, but also hard to answer definitively.
It’s very good to replace the fossil fuel generated Hydrogen (grey Hydrogen) already
used in industry by Hydrogen produced from sustainable energy sources such as wind, solar and nuclear. Very good indeed.
It’s even good to reduce the carbon footprint of grey Hydrogen, and two proposals
for doing this are called blue Hydrogen and turquoise Hydrogen, and again it may
be educational to ask those promoting these proposals whether this Hydrogen will
also be green or grey or both or neither. But don’t expect a straight answer.

The lesson is you will not get one.
But using Hydrogen as a secondary energy source is another question entirely,
because electricity is so much better in this role, and will almost always have
a smaller environmental footprint. I know that’s not what you’ve been told.

North Carolina will leave an unerasable powder blue stain on the floor of Cameron
during a night where the sports world celebrated Mike Krzyzewski’s final home game.
What was supposed to be a sentimental sendoff for Coach K turned into an unthinkable upset as the Tar Heels used a late second-half spurt to defeat No. 4 Duke 94-81. North Carolina celebrated on the court after the final buzzer before Krzyzewski returned to postgame to address Duke fans that had spent thousands to see him one last time.
Coach apologized for the loss, calling it “unacceptable.” Krzyzewski became the man known as Coach K because of who he recruited, the players who turned Duke into the biggest program in college basketball. Krzyzewski has coached 68 NBA Draft picks
(42 in the first round) picks, 37 All-Americans, nine national players of the year and,
in total, 208 players. Not including the fabulous 4 of Paolo Banchero, AJ Griffin,
Mark Williams, Trevor Keels, who has the potential to be drafted first round in
this year’s NBA draft.

According to ESPN.com, Coach K “started to spiral” over a report from Post
columnist Ian O’Connor’s new book on the legendary Blue Devils coach that
was exclusively published on this website.

In “Coach K: The Rise and Reign of Mike Krzyzewski,” O’Connor details how Krzyzewski manipulated Duke’s succession plan in order to ensure that assistant Jon Scheyer took over for him who played for North Spartan high school in Glenbrook Illinois.

He finished that game with a total of 52 points.

When Mike Krzyzewski’s feel-good retirement tour hit a rough patch.
Harvard coach and former Duke player Tommy Amaker was the University’s first
choice to take the reins of the program.  However, according to O’Connor, Krzyzewski reached out to Amaker and asked him not to take the job.
That Zoom call – left Amaker “heartbroken,” a source close to him told O’Connor.
The book says that Krzyzewski believed he would have more control of the program with Scheyer at the helm. The report was published on Feb. 15 and Krzyzewski’s daughter, Debbie Savarino, told ESPN that “he didn’t feel good all day because he was really upset.” Krzyzewski did not come out for the second half of Duke’s win over Wake Forest that evening because “he was not feeling well.”

“‘Did I do something that caused any harm that would bother Tommy? “
I love Tommy. He’s one of my boys. I don’t ever want anything to hurt my guys.’”
ESPN reporter Wright Thompson, however, backed up O’Connor’s reporting. “
A source close to both Coach K and Amaker described O’Connor’s reporting as accurate. What’s clear from this private dispute being made public is that the succession plan left some damaged feelings,” Thompson wrote.
During his long tenure at Duke, Krzyzewski has been given the opportunity to coach
in the NBA at least five times. The first time came after the 1990 season when he led
the Blue Devils to their third straight Final Four appearance.
The Boston Celtics offered a coaching position to Krzyzewski, but he soon declined
their offer. The next season, Krzyzewski proceeded to lead the Blue Devils to the first
of two straight national championships.
In 1994, he was pursued by the Portland Trail Blazers, but again he chose to stay with Duke. In 2004, Krzyzewski was also interviewed by the Los Angeles Lakers following the departure of high-profile coach Phil Jackson. He was given a formal offer from Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak, reportedly for five years, $40 million and part ownership, but again turned down the NBA. Coach K spurned the Kobe/Shaq

In 2010, the New Jersey Nets were reportedly willing to pay Krzyzewski between
$12 million and $15 million per season to coach the Nets. Krzyzewski again declined the offer and stayed at Duke. In 2011, Krzyzewski was offered the vacant coaching position for the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he again declined the offer and chose to stay at Duke.

We know what Krzyzewski did for USA Basketball, but what did USA Basketball do for Krzyzewski, who will begin his final NCAA tournament Friday when his second-seeded Blue Devils meet the 15th-seeded Cal State Fullerton Titans.
Above all, Krzyzewski, a West Point graduate, was honored to represent his country.
An Olympic assistant under Chuck Daly for the 1992 Dream Team, Krzyzewski took great pride in this U.S. basketball appointment just as Gregg Popovich, an Air Force graduate, did when he took over for Krzyzewski after the 2016 Olympics.
It also satisfied Krzyzewski’s NBA curiosity. He had an interest in coaching NBA players. In 2004, the Los Angeles Lakers made a serious run at Krzyzewski after Phil Jackson briefly stepped away from coaching. It was a substantial financial offer, and Krzyzewski told former Duke star J.J. Redick on “The Old Man and the Three” podcast that it was
the closest he ever came to leaving Duke because of his heart that bled Duke Blue.

Other NBA teams made a run at the Duke coach, some fading from memory or not that was publicized because Krzyzewski didn’t have interest. In 1990, longtime college coach and executive Dave Gavitt was hired by the Boston Celtics in 1990 and had significant interest in Krzyzewski, but team president and Celtics legend Red Auerbach preferred
a coach with NBA experience.
The Philadelphia 76ers, when former Duke player Billy King ran basketball operations, showed interest in 2003, as did Portland in 1994.
Krzyzewski could never leave Duke for the NBA full-time, but he reached for the next
best thing: coaching the best American professionals without the grind of the NBA’s long season, travel and back-to-backs. You don’t have to play New Orleans and then Oklahoma City the next day. Instead, you get to spend three weeks in some of the world’s best cities coaching some of the world’s best basketball players.
James, Wade, Anthony, Paul, Howard, Kobe Bryant, Chris Bosh, Jason Kidd, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler, DeMar DeRozan, Paul George and Draymond Green are among the players who played for Krzyzewski on the Olympic team.

Also Krzyzewski didn’t feel the same paternal protection with pro players as he did
with his college players. He didn’t have to shield James or Bryant or Wade the same way he had to with Zion Williamson, Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum or Redick. At least away from the sideline, Krzyzewski appeared less intense with USA Basketball than he did with Duke. It allowed him to coach and banter with the media in a different way.
He developed lasting relationships with many U.S.A. Basketball stars, including Bryant, James, Anthony and Durant, who played in multiple Olympics for him.
Krzyzewski called Bryant a friend who doted on Krzyzewski’s grandchildren.
“Coach K is probably one of my favorite coaches, if not my favorite,” James said.
“His ability to connect with players from all different shapes and sizes and age groups
is unbelievable. You understand and know why he is the leader, the GOAT that he is –
the greatest of all-time.”

By the time Krzyzewski took over for USA Basketball, he had won three NCAA tournaments and reached 11 Final Fours. He was coaching royalty by 2006.
But that didn’t stop him from learning more about the game.
At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Krzyzewski told USA TODAY Sports, “I’ve learned more in the last 11 years doing this than I ever learned in the 30 years previous about the game, people and preparation by being in this environment.”
It was not hollow talk. He absorbed what James and Bryant said to him, and surrounded himself with great coaches: Jim Boeheim, Mike D’Antoni, Nate McMillan, Tom Thibodeau and Monty Williams.
“By his own admission, he became a better coach,” former USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo told USA TODAY Sports. “He was already a Hall of Fame coach. But he became a much better coach because of his experience with USA Basketball.
It was being around some of the NBA players and coaches who were part of the staff.
It had a great impact on him.”

Two Time Cancer Survivor

Actress Kathy Bates was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2003, but not many people knew about it.

In an interview with WebMD, the Oscar winner revealed that her agent told her not to tell anyone about her diagnosis, believing that it would have a negative impact on her career. “Back in 2003, when I had ovarian cancer, my agent told me not to tell anyone about it,” Bates, 69, told WebMD.

“Even my gynecologist, whose husband worked in the business, warned that —
I shouldn’t come out with it because of the stigma in Hollywood,” she continued.
“So, I was very careful.” Following her stage II breast cancer diagnosis in 2012,
Bates didn’t stay quiet for long. She was inspired by singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge.
“I saw Melissa Etheridge doing a concert and just wailing on her guitar with her bald head, and I thought, ‘Wow, I wanna be her!’” Bates recalled. “So when the breast cancer diagnosis came, I knew I wanted to be honest about it.”

After the breast cancer was discovered, Bates underwent a double mastectomy and had 19 lymph nodes removed. “I was in a lot of pain for weeks and weeks — and I was very angry,” she said about the surgeries. “It was an awful time.”
Since her double mastectomy, Bates has made the decision not to have reconstructive surgery. “I’ve joined the ranks of women who are going flat, as they say,” she said.
“I don’t have breasts — so why do I have to pretend like I do?
That stuff isn’t important. I’m just grateful to have been born at a time when the research made it possible for me to survive. I feel so incredibly lucky to be alive.”

Shortly after her surgeries, American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy  reached out to the actress to play killer Delphine LaLaurie, a role for which she won an Emmy in 2014.
Bates has gone on to play four more characters in the American Horror Story series including, Ethel Darling, Iris, The Butcher (re-enactment) and Agnes Mary Winstead.

She was working on a Netflix series called Disjointed where she plays the owner of
a marijuana dispensary. Bates has also become an advocate and spokesperson for the Lymphatic Education & Research Network. Lymphatic Education & Research Network
is committed to educating the public about lymphatic disease and the need for treatment and research.

According to the Mayo Clinic, there is no cure for lymphedema, chronic lymphatic
disease that results in disfiguring swelling in one or more parts of the body.
Treatment focuses on reducing the swelling and controlling the pain.
Treatments for lymphedema include exercises, wrapping your arm or leg, massage, pneumatic compression, compression garments and complete decongestive therapy.

Two-Time Cancer Survivor Kathy Bates Warns Others Never to Do This

Kathy Bates is a top Hollywood talent celebrated for her performances in Misery, American Horror Story, Titanic, Fried Green Tomatoes, Midnight in Paris, and more. Her extensive body of work has spanned decades and made her one of the more decorated women in Hollywood. She has earned an Oscar, two Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards to date. As if this weren’t remarkable enough, Bates reached these outstanding Hollywood heights while battling cancer, not once but twice. First fighting ovarian cancer in 2003 and later beating breast cancer in 2012, the actor is now sharing what she’s learned from her harrowing health experiences. Read on to learn more about her back-to-back cancer battles, and to find out the one thing Bates says never to do when it comes to your health.

Bates says these were her first breast cancer symptoms.
Bates says that 2012 was already off to a rough start before she received her breast cancer diagnosis. She had just faced a disappointing career setback when her NBC series, Harry’s Law, was canceled from the air. Then she noticed her first clear symptom: an inexplicable pain in her abdomen. “That past Christmas, just before we were canceled, I had been really exhausted,” Bates told WebMD in 2017.
“But I just chalked it up to all the work on the show, and I let months go by,” she added. Having already overcome ovarian cancer in 2003, she knew she needed to follow up with
a doctor as her symptoms worsened.
A series of exams and screenings from her oncologist ultimately revealed that the actor had stage II breast cancer.
She knew immediately that she would opt for a double mastectomy.
“When my oncologist called with the news that I had breast cancer, I didn’t miss a beat.
I said, ‘Take ’em both off,'” she told Coping with Cancer Magazine in 2014.
“I then spent two weeks looking at all my options to make an informed rather than an emotional decision, but I decided to go with my instincts. I had seen my mother and my niece, who both had breast cancer, go through it with one breast removed.
They always seemed to struggle with posture and brassieres. I didn’t want to worry about getting cancer in the other breast. I wanted to be free,” she said.

She’s speaking out about her condition and recovery.
Back in 2003, Bates kept her ovarian cancer diagnosis private at the urging of her agent, who feared she would be stigmatized in Hollywood. By the time she developed breast cancer nine years later, her attitude had shifted significantly. “Seeing [breast cancer survivor] Melissa Etheridge in concert with her bald head, wailing on her electric guitar, she was a force to be reckoned with,” Bates told Coping. “I realized it wasn’t necessary to hide. Nobody should be ashamed to have cancer.”

Melissa Etheridge – Piece of my heart – YouTube
Melissa Etheridge performs at the 2005 Grammy Awards.
Weeks after she had completed her treatments, a bald Etheridge agreed to perform
at the 2005 Grammy Awards, participating in a tribute to Janis Joplin with
“Piece of My Heart.”
It would be her first public appearance since her diagnosis, and she walked onto the stage thinking, “I just don’t want anyone to make fun of me.”  She was so exhausted that when she began singing, she recalls, “I stood in one place, instead of moving around, which I usually do. That actually made for a much better performance.”

The crowd responded with a standing ovation.
Afterward, Etheridge lay in her bed and reflected. “Part of my spiritual awakening came from really examining myself,” she explains. “I took the time to be still.” Because Etheridge has a mutation of the BRCA2 gene, which predisposes women to breast cancer, her strategy for preventing a recurrence has been to exercise more control in her life and to fix what went wrong. “I’m not a victim,” she says. “I take responsibility for it.”
Bates has taken the same fearless approach when it comes to her double mastectomy, often opting to “go flat” without prosthetics and eschewing reconstructive surgery.
“I recently had an opportunity to have breast reconstruction, but at the last minute
I decided I was feeling so good that I didn’t want to go back to surgery, to bed rest, to being on pain medication. I realized that I already had what I wanted most, which was to be happy, have energy, work, be with friends, and live life,” she told the magazine.

The actor now lives with lymphedema.
Today, Bates is cancer free but lives with lymphedema, a painful chronic condition
which affects 30 percent of patients who have undergone breast cancer treatment.
Immediately following her surgery, which included not only the removal of her breasts and also 22 lymph nodes, she noticed swelling in her arms and pain in her hands—two tell-tale signs of the condition.
She admits that her initial reaction upon learning of her lymphedema was one of deep anger, especially since she had watched her mother contend with the condition following her own cancer treatment. “I was mad as hell. I think it was the culmination of having  been through cancer twice and realizing that now I’d have this condition, this life-long souvenir,” Bates told the medical site Practical Pain Management (PPM).
Though there is no cure for lymphedema, the actor now works hard to manage her symptoms. “I had to have my arms put into these pneumatic sleeves that feel like a boa constrictor,” she told PPM. “One arm at a time, two times a week. Now I’ve lost quite a bit of weight, and that has helped considerably, but I still have to be careful. I can’t have a lot of salt or alcohol, I have to stay out of the heat, and I’m not supposed to pick up heavy things.” She has also become a spokesperson for the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN), which works to educate others about lymphedema.

She now warns others not to do this one thing when it comes to their health.
When it comes to cancer treatment, Bates says a positive attitude and becoming informed can make a world of difference. “It’s no picnic, but it’s not necessarily a death sentence either. Go through the initial panic, and when that dies down, focus. Listen to your doctors, and ask questions; the more you know, the better,” she told Coping.
However, she also shares one warning for anyone experiencing a medical crisis:
“Stay off the internet at night worrying. Rest instead. Be good to yourself,” she advised.
For Bates, this meant focusing on a healthier future, and finding joy where she could.
“Use your chemo time to visualize yourself becoming healthy, no matter how silly the fantasy may seem. The rest of the time, try not to dwell on cancer,” she suggested. “
You are not your cancer. It doesn’t define you. You can decide who you want to be.
On the positive side, cancer can be a wake-up call.

Take the opportunity to enjoy life and be a kinder person.
You’re still at the party, so have a good time until last call.”

Winning the Mental Game: Understanding Focus with Dr. Amber Selking!

Dr. Amber Selking – LIO ATHLETICS OUTREACH (weebly.com)
Everybody’s lives are different because we all have had different experiences that
have shaped our lives. We all view things differently with different habits, disciplines
and a focus to what we are drawn to do with our lives. Action creates traction ~ small
gains over time separate people/ Wired in wired out inspires the fire within all of us.
Having a positive mind and positive emotions helps us to make better choices over time. The most popular “bad habit” is procrastination, when you procrastinate you are “no longer” ahead in the game and still have to do it and you fall further behind in the game.

When you are behind in the game it promotes a self-defeating attitude. When you are winning, you create self-awareness and an openness of creativity that produces more confidence.   When you show up with confidence other people respond to your thoughts, feelings and emotions and perform better. Therefore, everybody makes more logical choices through their self-thoughts, body languages, support system with preparation through past experiences. If you’re going to win in your life it has to be different from
the normal.

Normal is only average?

Therefore, your relationships toward life all have to take on different characteristics
than what is normal. Your daily habits, disciplines are critical, and your focus can’t be undermined through others that don’t want you to chase a dream or achieve the goals
that you are chasing.  When we do what we feel is right everything generally turns out
right in the end. When we do what we feel is right regardless of what others may think.

When the brain is in the right thought form or frame of mind it creates clarity and also problem solves better. It’s all about getting others in the right frame of mind to wrestle with the right challenges. “Our thoughts are quite often one of the biggest drivers of success predictors and how we’re going to show up into that moment. @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Physical toughness does not equal mental toughness.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Behaviors are all learned.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

If you teach some fundamentals of how to manage your mind and emotions up front, and then put them in difficult situations where they have to practice those skills and really learn how to use them in high pressure moments, then that’s a really effective

and powerful way to actually build and teach mental toughness.   @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Build one routine that strengthens your character and one routine that strengthens

your work ethic.  @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

If you don’t have solid character and understand who you are and what’s important

to you, it’s really hard to work hard. Particularly when no one is watching.   @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Give yourself a little grace.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

We are all not in the same boat. We are all in the same storm though. While we are all in the same storm, we are all in different boats in terms of how we’re navigating the storm. The importance is that we are actually navigating this storm. We don’t have to be at the mercy of the boat. @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Routines are important. Put some structure around your life.

@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Live this season.  Live the season that you’re in. We’re never going to have this time again. @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Challenge is what forges greatness. @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

The sun is going to shine again. @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Don’t miss what this season forges in us.  Be empathetic to yourself and to others.

Give yourself grace but structure and discipline in your life. Get outside.   @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

We’re not at 100% every day, but we can be 100% at the percent we can give.   @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

I need 100% of whatever percent you’ve got to give on this day.   @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

We’re not going to sprint through this often, but we can take one step at a time.   @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

A champion mindset is a combination of physical, technical, tactical, and mental.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Sport is 90% physical and 10% mental. It’s the 10% that controls the 90%.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

It takes an elite physical conditioning: You’ve got to be technically sound, you’ve got to

be tactfully smart and understand your sport really well, and you’ve got to be mentally tough. @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

You can have an awesome 90% but if that 10% isn’t working for you, you can’t

get it out when it matters most. That’s why it’s important to think like a champion.   @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Building strong healthy mindsets like you got to the weight room to train your body.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

If we can really help individuals learn how to think right and build healthy mindsets,

we can actually manage and mitigate a lot of the mental health issues and disorders
that we’re seeing in our world and society today”
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

If we can help our individuals how to think right and build healthy mindsets,

we can prepare them – not just for sport – but for life in general.   @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Sports psychology happens to and through the coach.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Coaches make or break the student athlete sport experience, just like parents

have a big impact on that as well. @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

The brain in a positive state thinks more clearly, creatively, and this problem solves better.  When things get really difficult is when we need our brains in a positive state more than ever. @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

The most fundamental sport skill of any sport is the ability to focus.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Being able to focus is the most important and fundamental sport skill.

When you’re focused at practice, practice works better. It’s critical to be able to
deliver your best on a consistent basis. @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Our thoughts affect our emotions, which affect our physiological response,

which drives our performance.  What starts the process? Thoughts.
Who controls your thoughts?   @LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Coaches give their athletes thoughts.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

Think about what you’re thinking about.
@LIOVirtualathleticsummit @drselking

It’s not rocket science, it’s just brain science.

Brittney Griner

Brittney Griner likely faces a trial, but her fate in a Russian justice system is unknown.
By Lane Sainty @Arizona Republic

Jamison Firestone, an attorney who established a law firm in Moscow,
explains the challenges. Brittney Griner & Russia’s 99 Conviction Rate.

American basketball star Brittney Griner who was detained in Russia on February 17,
is likely to face trial for alleged drug offenses in Russia, legal experts say, but a dearth
of details about her current predicament and escalating tensions between Russia and
the United States make it hard to predict how her case may unfold.

Russian law experts contacted by The Arizona Republic differed in their estimation of
how Griner will fare in the Russian criminal justice system. One said he fears the two-time Olympic gold medalist is “in a lot of trouble,” while another said the Russian legal system has the capacity to be fair, but also to be politically motivated, depending on the case.
From the WNBA to members of Congress, there has been an outpouring of concern for Griner since news of her detention spread over the weekend. The 6-foot-9 center, has made the all-star game seven times since joining the Phoenix Mercury in 2013, is one
of several WNBA players who spend the off-season playing basketball in Russia, where salaries are significantly higher than the American league.

But during her latest travels in the country, where she plays for Russian team UMMC Ekaterinburg, she was detained –after customs officials claimed – to have found vape cartridges containing hash oil in her luggage. Her current whereabouts and how long where she has been in detention is unknown.
Several current and former politicians have spoken out, including Democratic Texas Congressman Joaquin Castro, who wrote on Twitter that Griner’s detention “follows a pattern of Russia wrongly detaining & imprisoning U.S. citizens.”
“U.S. citizens are not political pawns,” he wrote.

Who is Brittney Griner?
“There are no words to express this pain,” Griner’s wife, Cherelle Griner, wrote
on Instagram on Saturday. A change.org petition demanding her swift release
had on Tuesday afternoon gathered close to 40,000 signatures and counting.
But much still remains unclear about Griner’s situation.

Where is she now? How is she doing?
Does she have access to consular support and a lawyer? And what bearing, if any,
will the extraordinary tensions between Russia and the United States in the context
of the Ukraine war have on her situation?
A common refrain among Russian law experts contacted by The Republic on Monday
was they only knew what they’d read in the media. Three outlined the criminal justice system they expect Griner to navigate in the months ahead.

What is known is that ‘She’s in a lot of trouble’.

Brittney Griner detained in Russia airport
Phoenix Mercury player arrested in Russia on drug charges

“She’s in a lot of trouble, I fear,” said William Pomeranz, acting director of the Kennan Institute. “I assume she’ll have a trial,” said Pomeranz, who has practiced law in Russia.
“I assume she’ll be convicted. There is a 99% conviction rate in the Russian Federation.

“In light of the relations between the U.S. and Russia, I have every belief that the Russians will make an example of this poor woman.” The Russian Customs Service said in a post on the messaging service Telegram Saturday that a U.S. athlete had been detained at the Sheremetyevo Airport outside Moscow.
After the basketballer’s carry-on luggage caught the attention of a sniffer dog, customs officers found vape cartridges containing hash oil, the post read. It said Griner faces a criminal case for smuggling narcotic drugs in a significant amount, which carries a sentence of 5-10 years imprisonment.

Russian TV Station Releases Brittney Griner’s Mugshot
The post did not name Griner. Attached was a video of a person who appears to
be Griner at the airport, and another image, an apparent photo of Griner in custody,
was aired on Russian state television on Tuesday.
Griner last posted on Instagram on Feb. 5. It is unclear when she was detained and
why the Russian Customs Service has now spoken publicly about it. Pomeranz said it
was difficult to draw any firm conclusions about the delay.

“The Russian justice system moves at its own pace,” he said.
“I have no way of knowing whether the charges are legitimate or not.
However, once a person gets stuck in the Russian criminal justice system,
it is very hard to dislodge them.” “They will use (her detention) in whatever
ways they feel would be to the Russian state’s advantage,” he said.

All-Stars Brittney Griner, during the media day at Phoenix Mercury.
An inquisitorial system.

Jeffrey Kahn, a professor of law at Southern Methodist University, told The Republic
a foreigner arrested in Russia has “no more and no fewer rights than a Russian citizen.”
It is not so simple, he said, as the relevant embassy leaping in to help them out of a tight spot: “That’s not the case with the U.S. embassy and it’s not the case with any embassies
I know of. The citizen is subject to the jurisdiction of the law.”
The Russian criminal justice system used to be a “classic example” of the inquisitorial system, Kahn said, as opposed to the adversarial system seen in U.S. courtrooms.

Russian law experts debate the next steps for Brittney Griner (azcentral.com)
“The inquisitorial system is built on the idea that the search for truth, rather than resolved by the clash of evidence put forward by witnesses called by the parties, must be done by the state,” he said. “There is in the Russian system a prosecutor, a defense attorney, and an investigator. The investigator’s job is to build the case file. As the saying goes: ‘What is not in the case file, is not in the world.’”
The 2001 introduction of a new criminal procedure code changed that somewhat, adding adversarial elements to the Russian system that strengthened rights for the defense. But, Kahn said, “the problem is that the case file — the most important part of an inquisitorial system — has been retained.”

“Ms. Griner’s attorney will have the opportunity to call witnesses and produce evidence,” Kahn said. “But it will all be through the prism of the case file. You have some adversarial principles, and in some cases, even a jury. But you still have a case file prepared by a state official. There’s a bit of a thumb on a scale for the case file. And the defense attorney’s job is to get what you need into the case file.”

‘Just a token’: Brittney Griner’s place in Russia’s efforts against US
Kahn said he could not speculate about the legitimacy of the charges against Griner but noted that both Russian and foreign defendants have in the past said Russian criminal charges against them were trumped up.
“The Russian criminal justice system is fully capable of switching between a system that
is as careful and thoughtful and deliberate as our own, and one that is under the control
of the political authorities,” he said.

A zero-tolerance policy.
William Butler, a professor of law at Penn State Dickinson,
said the Russian legal system has a “zero tolerance policy” when it comes to narcotics.
“Insofar as we know any details at all, it looks like a straightforward case,” he said,
adding that he guessed it would proceed to trial quickly.

“The American embassy is understaffed at the moment,” he said.
“It will make it even more difficult for them to monitor her situation.”
Asked if Griner would be treated well in custody, he said “I don’t see why not.”
Kahn said it was unclear if Griner would be remanded to a Russian pretrial detention center, or “sizo”, but “if she is remanded, they exist throughout Russia (as in the U.S.)
and are rather unpleasant places to be.”

The WNBA season resumes in May. Whether Griner will be back in Phoenix, demonstrating her on-court heroics for the Mercury, is anyone’s guess.

Archbishop Viganò

Archbishop Viganò discusses the Great Reset, gives hope in light of Our Lady of Fatima

‘In conclusion, [COVID-19] is a pretext with which to give the semblance of legitimacy to restrictions on natural freedoms and fundamental individual rights, in such a way as to create an economic and social crisis with which to make the Great Reset irreversible.’ Archbishop Viganò – Bing video

We’re in the final stages of the move towards ‘The Great Reset’;
We must win now or lose forever – The Expose (dailyexpose.uk)

May 19, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò kindly granted me an interview that we conducted for Schloss Rudolfshausen, a fine Catholic apostolate in Germany, run by Mrs. Helene Walterskirchen and her daughter, Alexandra. They are publishing translations from Archbishop Viganò, as well as of LifeSite and many others. Mrs. Walterskirchen and her daughter also publish the journal Kultur-Magazin, for which this new interview with the Italian prelate was conducted.

Archbishop Viganò covers in this lengthy interview many aspects of the Great Reset, its connections with China and its harsh lockdown policies; its connections with key global players such as the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Bilderberger Group, the Rockefellers, and the Rothschilds; and its essentially “Masonic matrix.” As we see, it is a replacement of Christianity with a masonic world rule that is similar to that of older Communist experiments in the world. What connects the older experiments with this new international one is indeed Freemasonry.  Archbishop Viganò presents the talk of a former French Freemason, Dr. Pierre Gilbert, who 25 years ago predicted that there would be an illness that would then be used for political purposes:
There is a very interesting and revealing declaration by Pierre J. Gilbert (here) that dates back to 1995, which lists all of the steps that today we see taking place before our eyes with the tragic farce of Covid, from mass inoculation with a vaccine to the creation of detention camps for dissenters. This converted Freemason revealed the aims of the infamous sect 25 years ago.

But in light of these disturbing news, the Italian archbishop does not leave us without hope; he points out that these revolutionary elements often also turn against each other, and thus he does not believe that yet the time has come for the Great Reset with its evil underpinnings.
One sign that he could be right here is the fact that one of the major leaders in this corona agenda, Bill Gates, is currently under much criticism for his closeness to the then-already known sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. More and more information is currently coming out into the light, and this information is seriously undercutting Gates’s credibility.
Viganò trusts Our Lady of Fatima’s words, according to which the Consecration of Russia will take place late, but it will come, and then there will be “a time of peace.”

“The failure to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary,” Viganò explains, “led to the spread of Communism throughout the world; today we see Communism allied with the other sworn enemy of Christianity, Liberalism.” He continues by saying:
This infernal alliance is meant to lead to the establishment of the New Order and the advent of the Antichrist. But let’s not forget that Our Lady has said that, before the final persecution, the world will enjoy a period of peace. I think that the Great Reset and the Satanic project of the New Order under the Masonic Synarchy has not yet managed to impose itself, even if we have come very close to it.
But while we await Our Lady’s victory, Archbishop Viganò calls upon us to lead lives in accordance with Christ’s Kingship, admonishing us to “seek to make Christ reign above all in our hearts, and, as a result, in our families, so that he may also reign in our societies.”

We have much gratitude to Archbishop Viganò for this illuminating and encouraging interview.
THE GREAT RESET Interview with His Excellency Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò

Revenge is mine, and I will repay them in the time when their foot shall slide!
The day of destruction is at hand, and their time hastens to come. ~ Deut. 32:35.

An open-air concert named “Free Sky” at the Independence Square in central Kyiv.

1. What does the Great Reset mean?
“The Great Reset” is an expression coined a few years ago by the Masonic elite that dominates the world. It means a sort of global revolution that has been decided on by this elite in order to “reset” the entire social fabric, imposing a series of changes on the masses that are intended to prepare for the reign of the Antichrist, which in the absence of calamitous events would be difficult to have democratically adopted with their consent. The ideals of a better world, respect for the environment, fraternity between peoples, and inclusivity are only a hypocritical and deceptive way of delivering this revolution and cloaking it with an alleged nobility of purpose which in practice hides the true ends of the elite: by their own admission, “nothing will be as it was before.”

2. Who are the key people behind the Great Reset? What do we know about their personal beliefs?
The elite which promotes the Great Reset is composed of the main world organizations, from Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum to the O.N.U., from the Trilateral Commission to the Bilderberg Group, with the support of their servants in governments, high finance, multinational corporations, and the media. This process has gone on for centuries, led by the great dynasties of capital such as the Rothschilds and Rockefellers, who heavily interfere in the politics of nations thanks to their immeasurable wealth.
The matrix is essentially Masonic, both in the principles they express as well as the hatred they display towards religion, and even more towards Our Lord Jesus Christ. If we consider the requests promoted by the supporters of the Great Reset, we can trace them back to the triad of the French Revolution and Freemasonry: liberty, equality, and fraternity. Any Catholic who is instructed by the Magisterium of the Roman Pontiffs knows what infernal subversion is implied by these principles: liberty means rebellion against the Sovereignty of God and His Holy Law; equality places all people on the same level, the lowest, denying the differences and individuality of each person, and above all annulling the fundamental distinction between those who recognize Christ as the One God and Lord and those who reject Him; and finally fraternity seeks to establish a society in which men can be brothers without any reference to the divine paternity of God or belonging to the family of the redeemed in Christ.
Let us consider an important thing: man is made in the image of God in the sense that he reflects, in his faculties, the attributes of the Most Holy Trinity: the power of the Father, the wisdom of the Son, the love of the Holy Spirit. The Great Reset wants to overturn this connatural correspondence of man with his Creator, Lord, and Redeemer in a blasphemous parody: unhinging his memory, distorting his intellect, and perverting his will.
Everything that is done in the name of globalist ideology has this unacknowledged but very evident purpose: we must no longer remember our past and our History, we must no longer know how to recognize Good and Evil, we must no longer desire virtue and reject vice; indeed, we are driven to condemn the Good as intolerant and to approve Evil as a liberation and redemption from Christian morality. And if God is rejected as Father, there must no longer be paternity even in the natural order, because natural fatherhood is a mirror of divine paternity. This is why there is this theological hatred against the natural family and against unborn life. If God did not die for us on the Cross, there must be no more suffering, no more pain, no more death, because in pain we are able to understand the meaning of sacrifice and accept it for love of Him who shed His Blood for us. If God is not Love, there must no longer be love among men but only fornication and the satisfaction of pleasures, because if we desire the good of others, we are led to share with them the most precious gift that we have, Faith, and we cannot abandon them to fall into the Abyss in the name of a perverse concept of freedom. They are not atheists; they do not deny that God exists; rather, they hate Him, just as Lucifer hates Him.

3. Is it a battle between Good and Evil, in your opinion?
The Great Reset is not only the last stage prior to the establishment of the reign of the Antichrist, but it has acquired all of the connotations of a true religion, borrowing its language, creating ceremonies, appointing its own priests. The rituality of the present pandemic is quite obvious, especially in the way they have wanted to give the vaccine a sacramental value, to the point of resorting to priests and bishops – and even the pope himself – to promote it, even preaching that it is indispensable for salvation, identifying it as a “moral duty” for every believer. Thus, in prohibiting the Holy Sacrifice to the true God and banning the administration of the true Sacraments, the new Covid religion has imposed itself with new hygienic rituals and new sacraments of health.
The faith of the disciple of the Coronavirus in the media narrative is the grotesque parody of the act of faith required of the Catholic, with the difference that the dogmas of the health religion to which unconditional assent is required are totally irrational, unreasonable, and illogical; there is not an adhesion to a truth that transcends reason but rather to a dogma that contradicts it, showing that, like all false religions, Covid crosses the line into superstition. Those who believe in Covid thus find themselves in the position of having to give proof of their submission to its sacred ministers, even in the face of concepts that are repugnant to medical science and common sense: the use of masks is obligatory even if they do not protect against contagion; the vaccine is imposed even if it does not give immunity, treatments not approved by the Health Sanhedrin are prohibited even if their effectiveness is obvious. And we should add: the more absurd the order that is given, the more the disciple feels that he is a member of the sect precisely by the very act of obeying.
It is disconcerting that those who today abdicate from reason in the face of the proclamations of the virologist-pontiffs declare that they are “rationalists” and convinced supporters of science against any sort of dogmatistic fideism. On the other hand, when people do not believe in God, they end up believing in anything.

4. In light of the fact that the World Economic Forum supports the strong lockdown policies implemented in light of the Corona virus, even praising the benefits of the lockdowns for the clearing of the air, it seems that the Corona crisis corresponds with their plans very well and is a useful tool for their Great Reset. Do you see any ties there between the WEF and the managers of the Corona crisis?
I believe that I was one of the first Bishops to denounce the intrinsic tie between the pseudo-pandemic and the intentions of the Great Reset. At the time, his denunciation was branded as the absurd rant of a conspiracy theorist, but today it is shown to be true in all its raw and terrible reality, demonstrating that the plan of the Great Reset ordered by the enemies of God is not limited to merely economic aspects that it uses as a tool to keep the world of finance linked to it, but which extends to the very essence of our lives as individuals and members of society, in order to cancel every vestige of Christianity. Behind all this there is the Evil One, who today counts on a highly organized group of followers.
We ought to free ourselves once and for all from the absurd narrative of the mainstream media, which says that Covid-19 is a deadly virus in the face of which nations have to organize themselves to confront an unexpected emergency pandemic that is difficult to contain.
First of all, according to eminent experts, Covid is said to be the result of manipulation carried out in a Wuhan laboratory;
Secondly, this virus, which in itself is not lethal, could be effectively fought with existing drugs and inexpensive therapies, while the WHO has given erroneous and misleading directives, suggesting protocols with devastating outcomes, preventing home care and increasing complications by imposing therapies for a respiratory syndrome rather than a circulatory one.
It further ordered the registration of all the dead as having died due to Covid, regardless of the real cause of death, discouraging autopsies and even going so far as to recommend the cremation of corpses.

– Powered by ChristianNetcast.com

On the basis of these inflated figures, the media have created a social alarm, an action of real terrorism towards the entire population, imposing unjustified closures, useless masks, and social distancing. In order to detect the supposed positivity of the virus, swabs and tests have been used that are totally inappropriate for diagnostic purposes and that give easily falsifiable results, as has been reported by their creator. Finally, it has promoted the use of an alleged vaccine, which is actually a genetic serum, admittedly ineffective as regards viral immunity and with widely demonstrated short-term side effects, while the long-term effects are still to be seen. It is a vaccine that, having been produced to combat a mutant virus, is destined to have to be periodically renewed on the basis of the phantom Covid “variants;” a vaccine that rudimentary medical science would discourage being given in the middle of a pandemic, because it could lead to forms of immunological resistance. In this criminal plan, science has turned into esoterism, doctors into sorcerers, and dissenters into heretics to be excommunicated or subjected to compulsory medical treatment.
The same errors – for example, the decision to hospitalize the elderly in nursing homes, thereby spreading the contagion and exterminating thousands of fragile people, after having weakened their immune systems – have been committed at different times and in various different contexts, even in the presence of unequivocal precedents, following a common plan. It is clear that there is a single script under a single direction, with actors who are reciting the part that has been given to them.
I would add, as proof of what I have been saying for a year now, that the nations that have not applied the containment measures and treatments imposed by the WHO are the ones that have reported the lowest number of deaths; and some nations that have not accepted the diktats of the world organizations have suffered coups, efforts at corruption, or have been eliminated: I am referring for example to Belarus (here) or to Tanzania (here), to cite only two of the most notable cases. Without forgetting that the official statistics of the total number deaths in 2020 are almost everywhere below the average number in recent years: if Covid was a true pandemic, then there ought to be numbers similar to what happened between 1918 and 1920 with the Spanish Flu.
In conclusion, Covid is a pretext with which to give the semblance of legitimacy to restrictions on natural freedoms and fundamental individual rights, in such a way as to create an economic and social crisis with which to make the Great Reset irreversible. The present state of economic exhaustion in European countries – in particular those of Catholic tradition like Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and Poland – forces them to submit to the blackmail of the European Union and to be despoiled by American, Chinese, German, and French… multinationals. In tandem with the unhinging of the economic fabric, it was decided to concentrate profits in a few multinational companies, such as Amazon, Just Eat, Ikea, and others – including large retailers – which have benefitted enormously from the closure of small and medium-sized businesses and restaurants. Not to mention the profits of the pharmaceutical companies, behind which are investment funds headed by, among others, Microsoft, Amazon, and Facebook.
Another sector that has benefited enormously from the lockdown has been pornography: the multinational Mind geek has increased its turnover, contributing to the corruption of millions of young people and adults forced to stay at home by the pandemic emergency, by means of promotional offers and free subscriptions, as a result of which the number of its clients has increased enormously and consequently also the price of third-party advertising.
Consider that this site gets more online traffic than Amazon, Twitter, and Facebook (here) with 3.5 billion visitors per month (here). As we can see, the pandemic offers a precious opportunity for those who cultivate the vices and perversions of the masses in order to be able to better manipulate them.

5. More concretely, as it turns out, the West has imitated a lockdown policy that was first used by China, a totalitarian country. Does this not show us how much we in the West are already influenced by China? How else can we explain why the West would imitate Chinese methods?
The Chinese communist dictatorship is certainly one of the protagonists of the tragic pandemic farce: there is the concrete suspicion that it produced the virus, and the certainty that it spread it abroad, banning domestic flights but permitting international ones. China is also certainly taking advantage of the economic crisis, in whose wake Chinese financial groups are acquiring infrastructures, strategic companies, hotels and prestigious real estate, beginning in Italy. Beijing is aware that the establishment of the New World Order obtained via the Great Reset will entail a “communization” of liberal ideology, and it is taking advantage of this to expand its power in the world, also thanks to the fifth columns it finances in various nations: this is exactly what Edward Luttwak has denounced in the past few days in saying that Italian ministers and undersecretaries are in the pay of China (here).

6. You were one of the early voices warning us that the Corona virus is being used for political purposes. I remember how in the very early stages, last year in March I was heavily influenced by people such as the immunologist Dr. Richard Hattchet, who stated that “this is the most frightening disease I have encountered in my entire career,” compared the Corona virus with the situation of World War II (minute 11.45) and praised the successful and “incredible sets of interventions” undertaken by the Chinese Communists in Wuhan. Now I realize that he is working on a vaccine for this virus and is funded for it with $20 million by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Could this example explain how we came to accept such stark restrictions in our lives and there was indeed a collaboration of different forces to scare us?
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is among the principal sponsors of the virus, and at the same time, as I mentioned earlier, Microsoft is the first shareholder of the Blackrock investment fund, which finances Pfizer, Moderna, and Astra Zeneca. Furthermore, the Foundation is among the primary sponsors of the WHO and has ramifications in many national and international health organizations. We know that in many speeches Bill Gates has theorized about using the pandemic to reduce the world population, and that he holds the patent on population health tracking systems, as well as a payment system that interfaces with the tracking chip. To say that Gates is a philanthropist is like saying that Jack the Ripper was a fan of anatomy.
I would like to recall, confirming the conflict of interest of international institutions with regard to their sponsors, that Bill Gates and George Soros gave about 1.4 million euros to the Council of Europe between 2004 and 2013 and about 690,000 euros between 2006 and 2014, effecting “a real privatization of international organizations and, what is worse, of human rights” (here), as denounced by the French lawyer Grégor Puppinck, the Director of the European Center for Law and Justice.
The purpose of Gates, Soros and other “tycoons” committed to the globalist agenda is the decimation of the world population, the enslavement of the masses and the concentration of power and finance in the hands of a few criminals who aim at world domination and the preparation of the coming of the Antichrist. In the face of this infernal plan, the tool of the Covid-19 virus to impose vaccines that make billions of people chronically ill is perfectly coherent with their claims and with the unfortunate complicity of religious and political leaders from all over the world, including Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who, as we know, has betrayed Chinese Catholics with the Beijing agreement, handing the laity and hierarchy over into the hands of the schismatic sect under the orders of the Communist Party, in exchange for generous funding.

7. You recently mentioned in an interview that “the Secretary-General of the United Nations recently stated that the virus was used to suppress dissent.” Could you tell us more about what the Secretary-General said?
The statements of the Secretary-General of the United Nations can be understood both as an accusation and as a warning to nations not to proceed with the suppression of dissent, as well as an acknowledgment of the real intentions of the elite. Let’s just say that this statement confirms the evidence of the facts, especially with regard to the effort to impose the vaccine passport and with it the mass vaccine or discrimination against those who do not accept being inoculated. I do not exclude that this admission may serve also as a way to assuage dissenters, making them believe that the UN is extraneous to the globalist plan.

8. Could it be that we are already at a point where the global elites working for a Global Reset are effectively aligned with China, independently of China’s dictatorial rule of its people?
The Chinese dictatorship is the paradigm of what awaits the entire world, if the alliance between liberalists and communists becomes definitively sealed. China demonstrates that dictatorship is the only possible form for imposing the Great Reset on the masses, replicating in a form adapted to today’s situation what Mao Zedong did with the Great Cultural Revolution in the 1960’s. Nonetheless, I believe that, at a certain point, the goals of the Great Reset and the goals of China will no longer coincide, especially when it comes to abolishing the debt of nations from which China collects enormous interest: it would find itself deprived overnight of an economic power over other nations which it is not willing to give up, unless an alternative that is equally profitable from the financial and political point of view is proposed.

9. Since we have imitated China’s lockdown rules, are we to expect that the West will also be more and more inclined to imitate China’s suppression of political dissent and religious groups, especially Catholics and in general Christians?
It seems clear to me, as I have just said, that the model of dictatorship currently in force in China will have to be applied also to those nations on which the Great Reset is to be imposed: civil, political, and religious dissent is neither contemplated nor tolerated, above all when it demonstrates the grotesque conspiracy of the New World Order against the peoples of the world with valid arguments and obvious proofs. The indications have already been present for some time in the West and in the “free” nations: ruthless censorship on social media, the total subservience of the mainstream media, exasperated control of the life of individuals, tracking of movements, and last but not least, so-called “social credit,” which has already been adopted in China and that some suggest should also be used by us.
Social credit is used to assign each citizen a score that is meant to indicate his or her reliability in the eyes of the State, on the basis of information possessed by the government based on the analysis of big data regarding the economic and social condition of its citizens. In essence it is a form of mass surveillance aimed at classifying individuals and companies, with the possibility of excluding individuals and organizations from social life whenever they do not respect the parameters decided on by the government. Every citizen is rewarded or punished on the basis of his own behavior. Some types of punishment include being banned from flying, being excluded from private schools, having one’s internet connection slowed down, being excluded from high-prestige jobs, not being allowed to book stays in hotels, and finally being registered on a public ban list. If we consider the measures that are being adopted thanks to the pandemic regarding the “vaccination passport,” it seems to me that the Chinese model is already on its way to being implemented almost everywhere.

As regards the repression of religious dissent, it should be noted that Bergoglio has demonstrated that he wants to replace the Catholic Church with an ecumenical and globalist structure that preserves only the name or the “brand” of the Spouse of Christ. It is no coincidence that even in Catholic circles there is an ever-stronger delegitimization of those who are not willing to renounce the Faith in the name of subservience to the dominant ideology; and, on the opposite front, the Holy See is careful not to condemn the heterodox doctrines promoted by various Bishops’ Conferences, beginning with those in Germany, Belgium, and Holland. Indeed, the ideological basis of those doctrines – for example the blessings of sodomitical couples or religious indifferentism promoted by so-called ecumenical dialogue – is found in the “magisterium” of Bergoglio and is coherent with the heretical approach begun by Vatican II, which began the process of the dissolution of traditional society which followed the revolution of 1968 in Europe and America and, as we were saying, the Cultural Revolution in China.

10. In light of a possible growing collaboration between the Global Elites of the Great Reset and China, working toward a less free society, what do you think about Our Lady of Fatima’s warning that without a proper consecration of Russia, Russia would spread its errors throughout the world, with Communism being her main error?
The failure to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary led to the spread of Communism throughout the world; today we see Communism allied with the other sworn enemy of Christianity, Liberalism. I hope and pray that Providence is using this pseudo-pandemic to show us the dystopian world that awaits us if we do not return to God, if we persist in offending Him and violating His Commandments, if we deny the divine Kingship of Our Lord, preferring instead to live under the tyranny of Evil. Many people who up until yesterday were still convinced of the goodness of the globalist project and its compatibility with the Faith are beginning to understand how anti-human and antichretic it is. Perhaps all is not lost, if we know how to understand that there is no peace except where Christ is recognized as King: pax Christi in regno Christi. Those who believe they can build a prosperous and peaceful society without placing its foundation on the rock of Our Lord will have the same end as those who wanted to build the Tower of Babel to challenge God. Dextera tua, Domine, magnificata est in fortitudine: dextera tua, Domine, percussit inimicum –
Thy right hand, O Lord, is magnified in strength: thy right hand, O Lord, hath slain the enemy (Ex 15:6).

11. What can we Catholics do in order to stop such a frightening process throughout the world and restore our constitutional liberties that have been encroached upon and limited in the name of a health crisis?
The violation of “constitutional liberties” is only one aspect of the problem: before this there is the violation of the Law of God, in the name of which abortion, euthanasia, sodomy and the worst perversions are called “rights,” while in fact they represent a challenge to the Majesty of God. Let us remember this well: Deus non irridetur – God is not mocked (Gal 6: 7) – one cannot play games with God, let alone challenge Him. In order to stop this infernal race towards the abyss we have only one solution: to change our lives by radically converting; to evangelize those who do not believe by word and example; to pray to the Lord asking Him to make the Hierarchy of the Church return to being a witness of Christ and not a slave of the world; to invoke the Most Holy Virgin, asking Her to grant us a holy and God-fearing Pope, who will carry himself as a new prophet in this Nineveh that is the modern world, admonishing the powerful of the earth as John Paul II still knew how to do on fundamental themes like respect for life from conception to natural death or the family.
Let’s stop believing that we can do without God, thinking that it is enough to follow any creed we like in order to be saved, or that the One and Triune God who has revealed Himself to us and Who sacrificed His Only-Begotten Son for our salvation can be placed on the same level as false and lying idols, beginning with the accursed pachamama.
Rather, let us seek to make Christ reign above all in our hearts, and, as a result, in our families, so that he may also reign in our societies. If we know how to be the salt of the earth (Mt 5:13) for the restoration of the Kingdom of Our Lord, society can only benefit from it; if instead we go along with the infernal plan of the Great Reset in the name of an impossible brotherhood between Good and Evil, we will be inexorably destined to the condemnation of being trampled on by men (ibid.), along with the enemies of God.

Dana Pradunets with her parents.

The family are Ukranian but are currently living in Poland as the war rages in Ukraine.

Terminally ill kids in Ukraine – Bing video
My husband and I married two years ago in Klevan, Ukraine and had planned to have
a baby together, but my pregnancy in 2020 wasn’t the easiest. Until the fifth month, everything was normal. Then, one of my lungs collapsed and I almost died.
Doctors had to put a drainage tube into my lungs, and I spent some time in hospital.
We were told then that any oxygen shortages may have impacted my baby’s brain development, and that we may see that when she was born.
But there was no indication of physical problems, she was very active in the womb and kicking a lot. A cesarean section (C-section) was recommended to us because doctors were afraid that my lungs would rip during contractions, but Dana seemed healthy when she was born on January 20, 2021, and we were delighted.

It was only during her two months checkup that doctors noticed she wasn’t capable of holding her head up at all. At the time, they suggested it could be to do with lung problems during my pregnancy or that during the C-section, the anesthesia may have also been too strong and, in turn, made Dana weaker. So, she was given physical therapy and calcium to make her bones stronger but two months on, she was not getting any better. At that point, we were told to undertake genetic testing for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and on June 22, we received the results: Dana has SMA type 1, the most severe form of spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic disease. It was terrifying, and that feeling just doesn’t go away.

We immediately went to a hospital in Kyiv, where doctors said that without
treatment the prognosis for Dana was very poor; children with SMA who have
no medical intervention usually do not live past two years old.
There are only three approved treatments available for SMA, which are nusinersen (Spinraza), onasemnogene abeparvovec-xioi (Zolgensma) and risdiplam (Evrysdi).
Our options were paying for ongoing treatment with Evrysdi or one off genetic therapy Zolgensma, which we have been told will cost between $2,000,000 and $2,300,000.
So, in the first few months after her diagnosis, Dana did not have any treatment because we couldn’t afford to pay for Evrysdi either. But then we contacted the company who makes the drug and thankfully, Dana has been taking Evrysdi since.
Now, she can hold her head up herself for 10 seconds and though she could previously only lift her arms to shoulder level, she can now lift them up to head height.

Dana is 13 months old now and regularly has physical therapy, so on February 22, my husband and I took her from Klevan to Poland for therapy there. We left my 10-year-old daughter Maryna in Ukraine with her father, but when I think back now, I realize I had a really bad feeling leaving her behind. I hugged her goodbye and even took a picture of her standing next to the window, waving at Dana. I never usually take that kind of picture, but it really felt like something was “off” that day. Maryna even ran behind the car as we left, which is something she doesn’t normally do.

Then, in the very early hours of February 24, I received a text message from Maryna saying: “Mom, there is a war and I’m really scared.” I remember immediately thinking
that Maryna’s passport had expired and that she may not be allowed through the border
to Poland, so that day, we tried that day to get her an emergency travel document, but everything had closed.
Fortunately, my sister, who has children herself, agreed to drive Maryna to the border. However, her car broke down on route and she was forced to pass Maryna to people from the city, essentially strangers, to continue the journey to the border.

Maryna had to wait with them, in a car, for 48 hours, and for those two days I couldn’t eat and I couldn’t sleep; Maryna was writing to me constantly telling me how scared she was. Eventually, she was allowed to cross the border on foot, in the cold.
The four of us are now together in Radom, Poland. We rented a small, one-bedroom apartment because we thought we would be here for one month.

But now, we’re here with two kids for the foreseeable future.
We haven’t claimed refugee status yet, we are just trying to get
some documentation so Dana can get access to treatment here.

The medicine she takes was distributed from Kharkiv in Ukraine, which is currently
under attack, and we only have enough left for two more weeks now we’re in Poland.

Baby Dana has Spinal Muscular Atrophy
Ukranian Dana Pradunets is only 1, but has type 1 spinal muscular atrophy
and needs life-saving treatment.

IRYNA states, The only treatment here we can get in Ukraine is Spinraza.
As of yet there is no timeline for getting Dana’s Evrisdyi medication to us in Poland,
but we understand that Spinraza is accessible to anyone in Poland who is working and
who has the correct medical insurance, so my husband is trying to get a job here that will allow that.
That work will also support us financially, and I will try and find a cleaning job for several hours in the evenings. If Dana doesn’t get treatment for a few months, she could lose all the progress she has made. And her condition will likely get worse. Dana is relatively weak, even with treatment because she has the most severe form of SMA.
We know that, for her, breaks in treatment are really not an option.
I think Dana understands that she needs a bit more attention than other children;
that she needs to be held all the time, because she will just lie there and play with her toys, almost as if she is helping me to get through this. She has a very kind, calm personality.

So my immediate family is here in Poland, but my parents and my husband’s parents
are still in Ukraine. Since we started the fundraiser, our family has also extended to all
the volunteers who have helped us raise money for our daughter.
The main organizer of the fundraiser is living in Kherson, which is currently occupied
by Russian forces. She has told us it is dangerous to go on the streets there to get food. Another volunteer lives in Kharkiv. We are trying to help them now, just as they have helped us.
Our parents are offering to provide shelter to their families if they need it.
I’m really scared to think about the future. I’m afraid of tomorrow because Dana has so many challenges. She has war on her doorstep and in the nine months since her diagnosis, we have raised a total of $675,000 towards the Zolgensma treatment. It’s a huge amount, but it’s not nearly enough, even though we have now been able to find somewhere in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that offers the treatment for $1,855,000.
Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to work out the details with this hospital yet, as we received this information one day before the war started. So, we are currently working towards treatment at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio in Texas, which will cost us $2,050,000. However, we also hope to work out the details around the treatment offered in the UAE soon.
Something I started to appreciate, even before the war in Ukraine, was every day that
my child can breathe. It’s something I don’t take for granted. There have been moments when she has had difficulty breathing; she even had pneumonia at one stage and was in intensive care. I think we all need to appreciate the fact that, today at least, we can breathe.
Before, thoughts crossed my mind about moving abroad.
Now, I just want to go back home. I have really started loving my country in a new way. The only thing I don’t understand is why my 1-year-old has to fight two wars at once?
Why does she have to fight spinal muscular atrophy and have war in her country at the same time? Why do some children have to go through such challenges?

Iryna Pradunets is a Ukranian currently living in Poland with her husband and
two children. You can find out more about how to help her daughter, Dana, here.

Ukraine war: Hospital struggling to prepare for Russian advance
Medics at a pediatric hospital in Zaporizhzhya make preparations
as they brace for a Russian assault on the city in eastern Ukraine.

Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine – Two weeks ago, Nastiya left her town of Vasylivka in eastern Ukraine to bring her five-year-old son Volodymyr to a hospital in the city of Zaporizhzhia, further north.
The boy was suffering from internal bleeding and was in a critical condition.
He has since improved but the mother and son cannot return home.  On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops to attack Ukraine by air, land and sea. Ukraine’s resistance has been fierce, repelling attacks on the capital, Kyiv, and other major cities, but battles have intensified in recent days.
Vasylivka is one of the towns that are being heavily fought over by defending Ukrainian forces and advancing Russian troops. People who attempted to enter the town to deliver aid told Al Jazeera they were turned back by the Ukrainian army because of the Russian shelling.  “Of course, I’m worried, I have three other children at home,” Nastiya told Al Jazeera’s Charles Stratford, standing beside Volodymyr’s hospital bed.

“There has been shelling and they are hiding in the basement.”

Doctors have moved them here to shield them in the case of Russian shelling.
“This area is protected from shrapnel if there is a blast so we put the babies here,” explained Vyacheslav Kapusta, a doctor at the hospital.
“It is deep inside the building between two walls.” In the hospital’s cold and damp basement, staff are preparing beds for a possible transport of patients.
“They all have terminal diseases,” Igor Buiny, an anesthetist, told Al Jazeera
from inside the intensive care unit.
“They are incurable so we have to leave them here in case of an air alert because they are dependent on oxygen and resuscitation equipment and we cannot transport everything necessary for them there.”
Outside the hospital, volunteers are filling sandbags to strengthen doorways and protect the windows if shells explode nearby.

As Russian troops move further into Ukraine, civilians have been organizing to
help fight alongside Ukrainian soldiers, the pace more urgent since the army said
this week Russian tank columns are less than 40km (25 miles) away.
Armed volunteers are also ready to be taken to positions around the city,
and more men and women arrive, waiting to sign up to fight.
“I don’t want my family killed. I won’t allow them to march on our land.
They are the occupiers, and they should be eliminated,” one man told Al Jazeera.
Russia insists its forces are only targeting military infrastructure but reports from
the ground suggest a mounting civilian death toll.

Zionism New World Order

The New World Order : A.Ralph Epperson : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

Zionism and The New World Order – Forbidden Knowledge – YouTube

Global Zionism: To many, Zionism is the program to establish
a national homeland for the Jewish people.

According to Wikipedia: Zionism is a political movement and ideology that supports a homeland for the Jewish People in the Land of Israel, where the Jewish nation originated over 3200 years ago and where Jewish kingdoms and self-governing states existed up to the 2nd century. While Zionism is based in part upon religious tradition linking the Jewish people to the Land of Israel, the modern movement was originally secular, beginning largely as a response to rampant antisemitism in Europe and many parts of the Muslim world during the 19th Century. After a number of advances and setbacks, and after the Holocaust had destroyed Jewish society in Europe, the Zionist movement culminated in the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. Link

But, we must ask, is it more? Is Zionism merely a desire among the Jewish people to live like other nations in their own homeland within secure borders OR is it something else?

One World Government [O]ur kingdom [the one-world state dominated by Jews] will be distinguished by a despotism of such magnificent proportions as to be at any moment and in every place in a position to wipe out any GOYIM [non-Jews] who oppose us by deed or word. (Protocols of Zion, 5:1)

Our [the Jews’] international rights will then wipe out national rights, in the proper sense of right, and will rule the nations precisely as the civil law of States rules the relations of their subjects among themselves. (Protocols of Zion, 2:1)

In January 1962, David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel gave an interview
to Look magazine in which he stated: All continents will become united in a world alliance,
at whose disposal will be an international police force.
All armies will be abolished, and there will be no more wars. In Jerusalem, the United Nations (a truly United Nations) will build a shrine of the Prophets to serve the federated union of all continents; this will be the scene of the Supreme Court of Mankind, to settle all controversies among the federated continents [emphasis added], as prophesied by Isaiah.  (Look magazine, Jan. 1962)

President Kennedy’s “New Frontier” policies.

American life at the time of John F. Kennedy’s presidency. This cover story focused
onto President Kennedy’s “New Frontier” policies. The cover image shows Kennedy’s characteristic informality and devotion to family, as he takes his nieces, nephews, and daughter on a golf cart ride.

A similar view was expressed in the Temple Mount Faithful organization newsletter (undated): The real “United Nations Organization” will be the Kingdom of G-d which will soon be established in Jerusalem, based on the holy laws of G-d. The Temple will again be the heart, soul and focus of Israel and the nations.
Mashiach ben David will come and will be the king of Israel and the world. He will come to Jerusalem and rule from there and establish the Kingdom of G-d over all the world. Jerusalem instead of New York will be the center of this godly “United Nations Organization ”.

A new era of justice, spiritual holiness, a real law based on the word of G-d in the Torah and a real peace will open and will be established in Jerusalem exactly as Isaiah prophesied: “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.
And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
And he shall judge among the nations and shall decide for many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up swords against nation, nor shall they learn war anymore.

O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.” (Isaiah 2:1-5)

Who or what the Jews are referring to when they write ‘G-d’ is open to conjecture. Nevertheless, those Christians who think the Jews are referring to God, the Creator of the Universe, when they write ‘G-d’ should bear in mind what Jesus said when addressing the Jews: You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.  John 8:44

In his book On the Jews and Their Lies, Martin Luther stated: Therefore, be on your guard against the Jews, knowing that wherever they have their synagogues, nothing is found but a den of devils in which sheer self-glory, conceit, lies, blasphemy, and defaming of God and men are practiced most maliciously… Link | Commentary

On the wall facing the United Nations building in New York is the famous Isaiah
prophecy of the biblically projected Millennium (Isaiah 2:1-5): “And he shall judge among the nations, and shall decide for many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war anymore.”A bronze sculpture created by Soviet artist Evgeny Vuchetich and presented to the United Nations in December 1959 by the Government of the USSR, shows the beating of the swords into ploughshares.

WHAT WAS CLAIMED
The Rockefeller Foundation planned the Covid-19 pandemic
under the name ‘Operation Lockstep’.

OUR VERDICT
This is entirely false. ‘Lock Step’ was the name of a scenario planning exercise that examined what might happen in a future pandemic but differs considerably from the current pandemic. Global Zionism To many, Zionism is the program to establish a
national homeland for the Jewish people.

It has been claimed on social media that the pandemic was planned by the Rockefeller Foundation, under the guise of something called ‘Operation Lockstep’. Claims circulating on WhatsApp say these plans were originally published in a book in 1989.
None of this is true.

All the posts include a page of text titled:

How Putin Uses Russian Orthodoxy to Grow His Empire.

McFaul: Captured Russians have no explanation for why they’re in Ukraine.

Confronting Putin: What can Americans expect?

No one can possibly know for sure what Russia’s leader Vladimir Putin – who has launched a full-scale invasion of neighboring Ukraine – may do next. But how might Americans be forced to sacrifice in hopes of saving Ukraine’s fragile young democracy? And will Putin’s weapons of warfare (cyber or nuclear) target the U.S. and the West? “Sunday Morning” senior contributor Ted Koppel talks with Russia experts Fiona Hill
and Nina Khrushcheva (great-granddaughter of Nikita Khrushchev), and also retired
Gen. Keith Alexander, and former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell speaks to Michael McFaul, former U.S. Ambassador to Russia, about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s reasoning for war with Ukraine and
how it could ultimately end up being one of his biggest problems.
It describes a scenario whereby a combination of “draconian” lockdown rules imposed
in response to a mild illness, and exposure to “5G radiation” lead to lowered immunity.
The post appears to make several claims about the current pandemic, but many are things we have previously fact checked and found to be false. For example, evidence shows that Covid-19 is not the same as flu, Covid-19 is more dangerous than the flu, coronavirus tests do not give a large number of false positive results, we do have accurate numbers for how many people have died of Covid and 5G is not harmful.

It then says when people “re-emerge into society” they will become ill and this will be blamed on Covid-19. People will be offered a vaccine and a “weaponised” virus will be released if too many people refuse the vaccine, leading to war between the vaccinated
and unvaccinated. There is nothing to suggest any of this will happen.
The Rockefeller Foundation is a private foundation based in America, founded by the wealthy Rockefeller family more than a century ago. Claims about Operation Lockstep have been previously debunked by American fact checking organisation Snopes, which reported that in 2010 the Rockefeller Foundation funded a scenario planning exercise called ‘Scenario for the Future of Technology and International Development’.

This looked at various different imagined scenarios and the role technology could theoretically play in them, including a global pandemic. The global pandemic scenario
was named ‘Lock Step’ in this exercise.
However, the ‘Lock Step’ outlined in the Rockefeller Foundation’s work bears little resemblance to the ‘Operation Lockstep’ text being circulated on social media, and made no mention of Covid-19 at all. It also does not talk about 5G, inflation of case numbers, flawed testing, weaponised viruses or a war caused by vaccines.
Instead, it imagines a pandemic caused by an influenza strain which originated in wild geese, emerging in 2012 and killing 8 million people in seven months, the majority of deaths being in “healthy young adults”. (In contrast, the Covid-19 pandemic is estimated to have killed 3.38 million people in the 17 months since it was first detected in December 2019, with the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions most at risk).

The imagined scenario bears a passing resemblance to the current situation, such as governments imposing restrictions to limit the spread of the virus. However, the scenario also describes Africa and Southeast Asia being particularly affected by the imagined virus, whereas Covid-19 has more severely affected Europe, South America and the United States.
Another version of this claim being widely shared on WhatsApp says that the false ‘Operation Lockstep’ text comes from a book published in 1989 called ‘The New World Order’ by A. Ralph Epperson. This is a real book, albeit one full of conspiracy theories, which claims to uncover secrets of the Great Seal of the United States. But it does not mention anything about Covid-19, Operation Lockstep or plans for a future pandemic anywhere within its text

Hey Putin: Let It Go You Bastard

Idina Menzel – Let It Go (from Frozen) (Official Video)

Russian Shelling Halts Ukrainian Evacuation Effort 3/18/2022.
A video of a Ukrainian girl in a bomb shelter has gone viral after viewers were moved
by her rendition of the song “Let it Go” from Disney’s popular animated film, Frozen.

The video has been viewed over 3 million times on Twitter and showed the young
girl singing the Ukrainian version to a group of families sheltering from danger.
The person recording the performance also filmed the reactions of the other people around the room. Those in the bunker can be seen smiling and recording the girl’s singing for themselves.

The video was first posted on March 3 on Facebook by Marta Smekhova, according
to a Mail Online report. In her Facebook post, Smekhova detailed her encounter with
the girl singing in the Kyiv bomb shelter.

She said that the name of the girl singing was Amelia and she had dreams of singing to large audiences on a big stage.

побачивши в одному з київських бомбосховищ, як діти малюють яскраві малюнки у напівтемряві, я, звичайно, не змогла мовчки пройти повз… зупинилася,…
Smekhova wrote in the Facebook post, according to a Google Translate.
“Seeing in one of the Kyiv bomb [shelters], how children draw bright pictures in half-darkness, I of course, couldn’t silently pass by…,”

“[I] stopped, praised, offered to do a little exhibition to somehow decorate this not so happy place.”
Smekhova said that as she spoke to the children in the shelter, Amelia was particularly talkative and said she loved to sing.
Smekhova encouraged Amelia to perform to those in the shelter despite the loudness of the room.
“Everyone put their business aside and listened to a song by this girl who was just
beaming light,” she wrote in the post.
“Video made with the permission of the girl’s mother, [I] promised that many people will see [them], Amelia really wanted this.
“I showed this video to people in different cities of Ukraine, it was seen
by foreigners in different parts of the world. Amelia, your singing left no one indifferent.”
She closed her message with a plea to the Russians to reconsider their invasion of their country.
“Look, Russians, against whom you are fighting. Only a coward can fight against civilians. [Taking] away childhood from defenseless children,” she wrote.
The video has been overwhelmingly praised online by social media users since it began
to go viral. Actress Idina Menzel, who played Elsa, the character who performs the song in the film Frozen, also acknowledged Amelia’s efforts.
“We see you, we really, really see you,” Menzel wrote on her Twitter page.

Other social media users noted how moving the performance was despite the difficult situation facing Ukrainians.
“The gut-wrenching visuals of children hiding in bomb shelters is all too similar
to us here in Israel. Watch this little Ukrainian girl singing “Let it go” in a shelter,”
Jerusalem Post journalist Emily Schrader tweeted.

Fighting in Kyiv is raging on and the city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, said he expects
support from countries all around the world. He insisted Ukraine does not want to
go back to the USSR and said Ukraine would continue to fight Russia for the
“Whole modern world.”

NBC News reporter Ellison Barber was briefly interrupted by a sweet Ukrainian child while filming a segment about life in refugee camps. Barber — who is on location in Poland — was reporting about the current Russian invasion of Ukraine. Her Sunday Focus segment highlighted the 1.5 million refugees who have left loved ones behind after fleeing to neighboring countries like Poland, Hungary, and Romania for safety.

“We’ve spoken to some people here today who told us they left now because they were trying to really wait until the very last minute,” Barber said in a clip that also aired on MSNBC. “They did not want to go.”
She explained, “But then, as they talked to their family members, friends outside of Ukraine, they convinced them to take their children and come somewhere safe to Poland until they can go back.”
The camera then panned to refugees gathering necessities from tents. There were also boxes full of food and other supplies on the ground. Barber said that the Polish government has organized some of the support but many volunteers are responsible for refugees receiving help.
As she reported what the Polish government asked volunteers to send, a young girl stepped into the camera frame. “This is one of our friends we’ve been playing soccer
with all morning,” Barber shared after patting the child on the head.

The child tossed the ball in the air a few times and smiled at the camera.
While Barber continued to walk with the girl around the camp, she added “Try to find organized groups, volunteer aides and send money that way because they are trying at
this point to not just have an immediate of things, but kind of have a more organized, structured approach to where things go from here.”
Barber gestured toward the child and explained that many families, including women and children, are seeking assistance in the camps and “desperately hoping they can go home.”
When the girl was shown one final time, MSNBC’s Chris Jansing said, “Amid that desperation, it is joyful to see a child who is smiling and at least having a little fun.” Jansing told Barber, “I’ll let you go back and play a little more soccer.”

Barber posted the video of the adorable interaction on Twitter and called it, “the best interruption of a live shot I’ve ever had.” “And play more soccer, we did!” Barber caption a follow-up tweet of her playing with the child.
Along with Poland, other European countries such as Hungary, Moldova, Romania and Slovakia have been accepting Ukrainian refugees
Ukrainians are fleeing increased violence in the region as Russian troops have been trying to overtake the capital city of Kyiv. Multiple airstrikes have been unleashed on Ukraine and some of those who have not left the country have been forced to retreat underground for shelter.

NYT photographer captures chilling image of 4 Ukrainian civilians killed by Russian strike

A Ukrainian learned his family had died after seeing viral photos:

The New York Times on Monday published at the top of its front page a chilling photo of 4 Ukrainian civilians, including two children, who were killed by Russian mortar fire as they were attempting to flee.
According to Lynsey Addario, the New York Times photographer who took the photo,
the image shows Ukrainian soldiers trying to save a man, who is lying on the pavement moments after being hit by a mortar while trying to evacuate the town of Irpin, just west
of the capital, Kyiv, on Sunday. Three other people — a woman, her teenage son and her daughter — lie dead behind him. The man later died.
Their luggage was left scattered about, along with a “green carrying case for a small dog that was barking,” Addario reported.
“We witnessed the Russian military bracket their mortars directly onto the civilian pedestrian path, where men, women, children, the elderly, ill and handicapped streamed out of Irpin,” Addario added in a post on Instagram. “I’ve witnessed many horrors in the past twenty years of covering war, but the intentional targeting of children and women is pure evil.”

People in Irpin have been using a battered bridge, which had been intentionally blown up by Ukrainian forces to slow the Russian advance, to cross into the relative safety of Kyiv.
According to the Times, only a dozen or so Ukrainian soldiers were in the immediate area of the bridge on Sunday. They were not fighting but instead “helping carry civilians’ luggage and children.”
Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushin said that at least eight civilians were killed along
the route over the weekend. He said Russian forces were intentionally targeting civilians.
“This is not an army. These are animals,” Markushin said on CNN. “They are killing civilians. They are shelling our city, our residential buildings. They are firing on ambulances. This is just a. Monstrosity. They are animals. They are not people.”
Other photographers in the area captured similar scenes of panicked Ukrainians desperately trying to escape heavy Russian shelling along the evacuation route.

In other cities, Ukrainian officials said Russian artillery fire and airstrikes had prevented residents from making agreed-to evacuations. Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of sabotaging the effort.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken saiid that he was aware of the reports of Russians targeting Ukrainian civilians, and that the United States is monitoring Russians for possible war crimes.
“We’ve seen very credible reports of deliberate attacks on civilians, which would constitute a war crime,” Blinken said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday. “They’re very credible. And we’re documenting everything.”
