If you are in the market for a new vehicle, you might be thinking about an entirely new approach to driving that involves fewer — or no — trips to the gas station. As more car manufacturers unveil new electric-powered models, drivers are pondering making the switch. Data from the Pew Research Center shows that nearly 40% of Americans are at least somewhat likely to consider an electric car the next time they get something new
for their garages.

If you are in that crowd, there is a bigger question you’ll need to answer.

to the dealer. Hybrid cars, plug-in hybrid cars and electric vehicles (EVs) are all designed to help you curb or cut fuel costs. However, there are key differences between them to be aware of.

“If your goal is to completely get off fossil fuels, you’ll want an EV,” Montoya says.

Drawbacks
Unfortunately, electric vehicles also come with a few downsides:
You might need to search for a place to charge your car. If your battery is low, finding
a place to charge it isn’t as simple as finding a gas station to refill. “You’ll find that both coasts of the U.S. have the most charge stations,” Montoya says. “It’s when you get into
the north-central states like Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming where they become sparser.” But the future of electric cars looks bright with more charging stations and
plans from the federal government to bring down prices.

You may be waiting a while for each charge to complete. While fast public charging stations are becoming more common, some of the most basic charging stations take a long time to deliver the juice to go far. For example, 120V charging stations offer the ability to go two to five miles for every hour of charging. That is okay if you are charging overnight, but it isn’t convenient if you need a quick fill-up.

You are going to pay more. All new cars are more expensive right now, but electric cars tend to come with higher sticker prices and higher monthly payments than the gas car you’re used to driving. Your insurance bill may be more, too. A study from financial technology company Self showed that insurance costs for electric cars average more
than $400 higher than gas cars.

Whether you decide to buy a hybrid or electric car, you’re going to need plenty of money
to buy a new vehicle right now. Since prices are at record highs, it’s even more important to take your time and consider what suits your lifestyle better. You might not want to take too much time, though.

Biden’s gas price nightmare is America’s future

The political pain that high gasoline prices have inflicted on President Joe Biden
offers a potential warning to future presidents: It’s likely to happen to you, too.

The reason: The United States’ capacity for refining oil into gasoline is declining,
a trend that appears irreversible — for reasons that include climate change.
But the nation’s appetite for fuel is holding firm, no matter all the predictions
of a future filled with electric cars.

The result is a domestic gasoline supply on a hair trigger, making the nation more vulnerable to fuel panics that would resemble last year’s hacker-driven shutdown of
the Colonial Pipeline, while feeding inflation and angering voters. Since early 2020,
the United States’ fuel-producing capacity has fallen by nearly 1 million barrels per
day, or about 5 percent.

“We are going to be operating a shrunken, old and in-need-of-repair refining system a lot harder,” said Bob McNally, head of consulting firm Rapidan Energy and former senior director for international energy on the National Security Council in the George W. Bush administration. “Future presidents and administrations are going to be absolutely bedeviled by high gasoline prices.”

Republicans have pummeled the Biden administration for record high gasoline prices, blaming the jump on the president’s focus on climate change and his promises to reduce the nation’s reliance on fossil fuels. But instead of being a modern outlier, the high prices may signal a new norm that future residents of the White House of either party will have to face down.

A much-forecasted drop in demand for oil-derived transportation fuels has yet to arrive, even as the capacity for the United States to produce such fuel is falling away, McNally said in an interview.

Oil prices are the biggest component of gasoline prices, but as refinery capacity shrinks, it can create bottlenecks in fuel production that worsen price spikes when supplies are tight. Average regular gasoline prices peaked above $5 per gallon in June — and while they have fallen since then to $4.35 as of Monday, prices at the pump have fallen more slowly than the cost of oil.

Biden has moved to try to limit both economic and political fallout from the high prices, releasing a million barrels of crude a day from the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, relaxing restrictions on summer ethanol sales and calling for a temporary lifting of the
18-cent-per-gallon federal gasoline tax. The administration has sought to take credit
for the recent price dip — but analysts warn the pullback may be temporary, especially
if Russian oil shipments decrease or U.S. refineries suffer unexpected outages during hurricane season.

And over the past three years, a confluence of factors has prompted more refineries to either shut down or retool to produce only renewable diesel.

Many refining companies, burdened with heavy debt, became extremely unprofitable as the pandemic sapped fuel demand for more than a year. Climate change increased both the physical hazards their plants faced and their insurance costs. Meanwhile, investors were more willing to open their wallets for alternative energy projects than upkeep on decades-old fossil fuel refineries.

In all, the 130 U.S. petroleum refineries had combined capacity to process nearly
18 million barrels a day in April, according to the Energy Information Administration,
down from a peak of nearly 19 million in 2020. The higher costs of labor, steel and energy itself will pressure others to close, said Anne Slattery, senior analyst with consulting firm RSM US.

“The cost of heating the buildings, everything they use to run their refineries,” has gone up, Slattery said. “Refining capacity has really decreased significantly in the U.S. and globally. That really discourages and prohibits our ability to meet demand and contributes to volatility of prices.”

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm broached the issue with heads of refining companies at a meeting in June, a senior department official said in an interview. “The conversation was focused on what did you do with that refining capacity and how are you thinking about it now given the current price environment,” the official said. “I think for some of the ones that idled [capacity] rather than shut down, I think they’re reconsidering what could come back. We’re continuing to work with folks like that.”

One option for the Energy Department is to help refinery owners
convert their plants to manufacture biodiesel, the official said.

Some analysts have argued that fuel efficiency and the increasing number of electric vehicles on the roads of Europe and the United States will lower gasoline demand at a faster pace than the drop in refining capacity. Both the International Energy Agency and the U.S. Energy Information Administration have forecast a steep drop in fossil fuel demand in the United States and other developed countries, predictions that are persuading investors and even some refinery executives to put their money into renewable energy.

“This is a problem that technology is solving,” said David Goldwyn, president of energy consulting firm Goldwyn Global Strategies and a former State Department special envoy for international energy affairs in the Obama administration. “You have an internal combustion engine phase-out in Europe. You have the U.S. reaching the tipping point on electric vehicles. I think it will either fall on the refiners or the government to build some [fuel] reserves for resilience purposes, but long term, no one is going to build a new refinery.”

But at least in the short term, the expected drop in gasoline demand has yet to emerge. Electric vehicle makers, beset by their own supply chain issues, haven’t been able to sell enough cars and trucks to offset a potential major shock to the U.S. gasoline market.

Even so, the reduced gasoline production is unlikely to persuade investors and refinery executives to put money into keeping their plants open, the analysts said. The growing mismatch will become a major headache for whichever political party is in power, said Mark Jones, a professor at Rice University in Houston who specializes in energy and policy.

“Even if a [Republican Florida Gov. Ron] DeSantis is elected president, the industry still sees the writing on the wall,” Jones said in an interview. “If a major hurricane hits the Gulf Coast, there simply will be gasoline shortages nationwide and a substantial spike in prices. Our capacity is getting limited.”

Biden blasts ‘ultra-MAGA’ Republicans’ inflation plans:

Twice as much refining capacity has shut down in the past three years as in the
preceding 10 years. Among the biggest shutdowns was the Philadelphia Energy Solutions refinery in Philadelphia, the largest and one of the oldest on the East Coast. It suffered a major explosion in 2019 and was permanently shuttered, leaving a major hole in the region’s fuel supply.

In 2021, Phillips 66 decided to close its refinery in Belle Chasse, La., after floodwaters from Hurricane Ida breached its protective walls and caused severe damage. Scientists have pointed to that storm, which intensified rapidly as it moved through warmer-than-normal waters in the Gulf, as one that showed the impacts of climate change.

European oil giant Shell shut down its Convent refinery in Louisiana after it made a strategic shift to shrink its fossil fuel asset portfolio — and after failing to find anyone to buy it. The company is now in the process of converting it to produce renewable diesel. More recently, refining and chemicals company LyondellBasell said that it will close its refinery along the Houston Ship Channel next year as it moves away from producing
fossil fuels.

The cost of running these refineries — some of which began operating a century ago —
is increasing, partly due to the rising threats from climate change.
About half the country’s fuel-making capacity is clustered along the Gulf Coast, where the rising air and water temperatures are making hurricanes more destructive and shifting weather patterns are capable of bringing ice even to balmy South Texas.

“When you have refineries in operation along the coast — anywhere coastal, anywhere in
a tropical zone — yes, 100 percent, insurance costs are going up for these operations,” said Kathy Baughman McLeod, senior vice president of the Atlantic Council and director of the Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center.

And it’s no longer just hurricanes or weather on the Gulf Coast that refineries and their insurance companies have to worry about, said Steffen Halscheidt, global practice leader for oil and gas at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty. Climate change is bringing new threats to plants all around the country.

“Surprisingly you have actually winter storms coming up with similar expense dimensions as proper hurricanes,” Halscheidt said in an interview.

Some refineries are also cutting back on gasoline production to meet shifting regulatory requirements. Phillips 66 and Marathon Petroleum both announced they will stop making gasoline at their California refineries and instead focus on renewable diesel.

The announcements were seen as ways for the companies to cope with Gov. Gavin Newsom’s pledge to phase out fossil fuels from the state’s vehicle fleet. The combined pressures of climate change, government policies focused on curbing emissions and forecasts for a shift to electric vehicles mean less incentive to keep the plants running,
said Andy Lipow, head of consulting firm Lipow Oil Associates.

“Our refining industry is getting older. It’s going on Medicare,” Lipow said. “You’re seeing demand going down in the U.S. … You need so much money, it’s easier to pull the plug. You shut down.”

The closures are a strong reversal for an industry that not long ago had poured billions
of dollars into refineries and feared it had overexpanded, said Stephen Brown, an energy consultant and former lobbyist for Tesoro Corp., a refining company that was bought by Marathon Petroleum in 2018. Bolstered by those investments, the United States in 2011 started exporting more fuel than it imported.

But now the drop in refining capacity has happened so rapidly that further shutdowns — temporary or otherwise — could cause prices to spike considerably as U.S. drivers have to compete with foreign markets for fuel.

“You add up a strong likelihood of a weather event taking off refineries on the Gulf Coast, or an earthquake in California — we’ll be at $7 bucks a gallon pretty quick,” Brown said in an interview.

After Boyle won several local singing competitions, her mother urged her to enter Britain’s Got Talent and take the risk of singing in front of an audience larger than her parish church. Former coach O’Neil said Boyle abandoned an audition for The X Factor because she believed people were being chosen for their looks. She almost abandoned her plan to enter Britain’s Got Talent believing she was too old, but O’Neil persuaded her to audition nevertheless.[32] Boyle said that she was motivated to seek a musical career to pay tribute to her mother.[18] Her performance on the show was the first time she had sung in public since her mother died.[33][34]

In August 2008, Boyle applied for an audition for the third series of Britain’s Got Talent (as contestant number 43212) and was accepted after a preliminary audition in Glasgow. Boyle left the clinic three days after her admission[48] and said she would participate in the BGT tour. Despite health concerns, she appeared in 20 of the 24 dates of the tour,[49] and was well received in cities including Aberdeen,[50] Edinburgh,[51] Dublin,[52] Sheffield,[53] Coventry,[54] and Birmingham.[55] The Belfast Telegraph stated that “Despite reports of crumbling under the pressure…, she exuded a confidence resembling that of a veteran who has been performing for years”.[56]

Self-isolation was as tough on Susan as it was on everybody else.
“I’ve had days when I’ve felt low or stuck in a rut, or bored or staring at the same four walls – but everyone’s been in the same boat,” Susan added. In March 2021, Susan took a huge step towards returning to the stage by getting vaccinated.

She wrote on Instagram: “Monday felt for the first time like there was light at the end of the tunnel. Do you ever feel like you’re wearing too many layers?
I’m not talking about clothes.

I’m talking about the layers of masks & armor that we carry around.
-the energy, thoughts, emotions, stories, & protection mechanisms we hold onto.

It’s the thoughts that tell you to close yourself off, because people will only hurt you.
The stories that tell you not to take the chance, because you’ll probably just fail anyway.

The same force that drives you to slam on the breaks when you see an accident coming
– your body’s way of protecting itself.

I used to never smile with my mouth open, because I was self-conscious of my teeth.
I used to never sing in front of other people, because I was afraid of being bad.

I had a mask blocking my expression because I was afraid of being judged.
I was trying to protect myself from embarrassment or insecurity.

But you know what I was doing instead?

Imposing that very same judgement I was trying to avoid, on myself.

Doesn’t it get heavy?

We are not presently living our lives when we’re in survival mode.
We are energetic beings, & it is in our nature to always be giving & receiving energy.

But we’re not meant to hold on.
This is not a journey of collecting layers to carry with you.

TO WHOM ARE YOU LISTENING?
“A wise man will hear and will increase learning; and a man

Loved ones, life is full of decisions that do not have absolute, specific-by-name,
how-to directions in the Bible.
For example: How many hours a day should my children spend
on screens? Where should the family go for vacation?
Is it wise to go on a date with a coworker?
We all have notions about the truth, but how do we know for sure that
these ideas are coming from God? Am I hearing God? Or am I only hearing myself? 
Worse yet, am I hearing the temptations of Satan disguised as the leading of
the Holy Spirit?

Sometimes distinguishing our own ideas from God’s leading is difficult.
What if our urges are actually coming from the enemy of our souls and not from God? Remember, the prophet said, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). 
How do we bring “into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”? 
(2 Corinthians 10:5) when we aren’t sure where the thoughts are coming from?
Friends, God communicates His will to mankind through the Bible, His inspired Word 
(2 Timothy 3:16-17). Through the divine providence of God, He has preserved the 66 books of the Bible throughout the centuries for man’s perfection. It is through the Word that we are sanctified (John 17:17),  and the Word is the light for our path (Psalm 119:105).
Again, through His sovereign providence, God also guides us through circumstances 
(2 Corinthians 2:12) and godly mentors providing wise counsel (Proverbs 12:15).

When God wants to speak to us, nothing can stop Him.

Here are some ways to discern the source of our thoughts:
If we are confused about whether or not we are hearing God,
it is good to pray for wisdom (James 1:5).

[It’s good to pray for wisdom even when we don’t think we’re confused!]
We should ask God to make His will clearly know to us.
When we pray, we “must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts
is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind” (James 1:6).
If we have no faith, we “should not expect to receive anything from the Lord” (James 1:7).
Talk to God in prayer and earnestly wait for His answer.
However, keep in mind that God doesn’t give us everything we desire,
and sometimes His answer is, “wait” (Psalm 27:14)  or “No.” 
He knows what we need at any given time, and He will show us what is best. If God says, “No,” then we can thank Him for the clarity of His direction and move on from there.

Study the Word
The Bible is called “God’s Word” for a reason—it is the way God speaks to us.
It is also the way we learn about God’s character and His dealings with people throughout history. All Scripture is “breathed out (inspired) by God” and is the guide for a righteous life (2 Timothy 3:16–17). While we speak to God in prayer, He speaks to us through His Word. As we read, we must consider the words of the Bible to be the very words of God 
(1 Thessalonians 2:13).
Any thought, desire, inclination, or urge we may have must be brought to the Word of God for comparison and approval. Let the Bible be the judge of every thought. “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to divide soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart”.
No matter how urgent the urge, if it goes against what Scripture says,
then it is not of God and must be rejected.  (Hebrews 4:12).

Follow the Holy Spirit’s Leading
Paul wrote, “This I say then, walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16).  
The Holy Spirit is God (deity) — a divine Being with the Father and the Son. 
He has a mind, emotions, and will. He is the source of God’s word and uses it as His SWORD (Ephesians 6:17).
He is always with us (Psalm 139:7–12) and intercedes for us in prayer (Romans 8:26–27).
The Holy Spirit wills to fill us (Ephesians 5:18) and
produce in us His fruit (Galatians 5:22–25). 
 No matter what decisions we’re making day to day,
we can’t go wrong when we exhibit love, joy, peace, etc., to the glory of God.
When we have a random thought pop into our heads, we must learn to “test the spirits” 
(1 John 4:1). Will following this inclination lead to more Christlikeness? 

Will dwelling on this thought produce more of the fruit of the Spirit in me?
The Holy Spirit will never lead us to gratify the sinful desires of the flesh; He will always lead us toward sanctification (1 Peter 1:2). Life on earth is a spiritual battle. The enemy is eager to supply diversions to distract us from God’s will (1 Peter 5:8).  We must be vigilant to ensure that what we heed is more than a feeling but is truly from God Himself.
Remember, God wants to show us the right path to take.
He’s not in the business of hiding His will from those who seek Him. 
However, as in the days of Jeremiah, many people are refusing to walk
in the Old Paths of God (Jeremiah 6:16).
Here are some good questions to ask as we examine whether or not we are hearing God: Are the promptings confusing or vague? 
God is not the author of confusion; He is the bringer of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33).
Do the thoughts of your heart go against God’s Word? God will not contradict Himself.

Will following these promptings lead to sin? 
Those who “keep in step with the Spirit” have “crucified the flesh
with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24–25).
In addition, it is good to seek counsel from a friend, family member, preacher, or elder (Proverbs 15:22). Our pastors are there to help shepherd us: “Obey them that have the rule over you and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you” (Hebrews 13:17).
God does not want us to fail. The more we listen to God, the better we will be at distinguishing His voice from the other noises in our heads. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, gives His promise: “He goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice” (John 10:4). 
Others may speak, “but the sheep do not listen to them” (vs 5.  😎 .
You can know the Lord as your shepherd by: Accepting His leadership over your life. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).
The better we know our Shepherd, the less we will give heed to the wrong voice.

When Bad Things Happen in Your Life
I just finished re-listening to Job 37-42. 
It is a fascinating section of scripture for a couple of reasons. 
First, if you listen or read it as is, you see Who is actually speaking to Job.
Many believe it is God the Father, but in reality, it is Jesus who is speaking. 

Second thing is the dialogue He is laying out to Job. It is all about how He made everything work together in creation, and how He has control over it all.
That includes Job’s entire situation also.
I’m sure Job, like many of us, had no idea why the horrible things were suddenly failing at his feet. Most people who only experience a loss of one child curse God, or if they lose their biggest client at their job they curse God, or get sick with a bad case of the flu even speak out against God. But Job lost all his children, his livelihood/business, and his health was stripped from him all in the same day. Even his own wife told Job he should curse God and die.
How could Job, a righteous man of God, not question what he had done to deserve all this. But through all of this he didn’t curse God, nor blame Him. In fact, Job sought counsel from friends to see if he had done something wrong so he could repent because he didn’t understand why these things were happening to him. Job however “held fast to what he had” which at this point was his faith, and Jesus rewarded him with twice the number of possessions than he had before.

I really think Job’s experience is essential to our walk with God because it reminds us when bad things come into our lives that God is still in control, and if we can persevere through the hardship until the very end He will reward us greatly.
Not just in physical things, but also eternal things.
Psalm 45:6-7 KJV “Your throne O God, is forever and ever; …
5Your arrows pierce the hearts of the king’s foes; the nations fall beneath your feet. 
6Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever, and justice is the scepter of Your kingdom. 
7You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God,
has anointed you above your companions with the oil of joy.…

A scepter of righteousness is a scepter of your kingdom.” (We hear remarks today like, “religion is out of date. Morality is different and we don’t need what some deem superstition of religious belief in a post-modern world.” Well if religion is on the decline, (the kind revealed in the scripture) just listen to the news and tell me how that’s working out for us? And don’t tell me, “Most wars are started by religion.” It is not the religion of the Bible and Christ but the false kind Satan substitutes for the real.

No, we serve an eternal God who has a plan for this world and our lives if we will follow Him. His kingdom does not have a shelf life on it. It is forever and will continue through all eternity. His words will not change. It is the source of light and life we need in this present world. His moral law is forever. Jesus said, “From the beginning, God created them male and female. No misguided and spiritually blinded government celebrating sin will ever change God’s moral law. The church is eternal. It will merge into eternity in heaven and the gates of Hell will not stop it.

Finally, the same God who revealed Himself in the Bible can be real in your life today.
If you don’t have Him in your life, you are empty inside and have nothing to look forward to except this temporal world which will all pass away, then eternal separation from Him. The same gospel the early church preached can be real in anyone’s life and can be a source of salvation to people who repent of sin, believe in what Christ did for them on the cross and trust Him as their Lord and Saviour.
I am so happy I serve an eternal God. He is much bigger than my puny thinking.
When I get into His eternal book and receive His eternal salvation I can glory in
His eternal plan and purpose for my life. 

(To ignore it is the greatest mistake anyone can make.)

Beware of what you post online and share with others.
When we as followers of Jesus Christ post worldly topics and concerns on our pages,
we not only take our focus off of Christ and His message, but we become a distraction
and a stumbling block to others in the faith as well. We cause others to focus on the lawlessness in this world and in return it causes their love to grow cold. 
Jesus warned us of both of these things in His teachings.

Matthew 18:6
“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble,
it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and
to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

Matthew 24:12-13
Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.
But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.
If you are truly trying to do good, then stop distracting others from
the Kingdom of Heaven’s work which is sharing the good news.

Harvard study:
Many researchers believe that education level is less important in maintaining a healthy brain than the habit of staying mentally active as you age. In one study, mentally intact people in their 70s and 80s were asked how often they did six activities that required active mental engagement-reading, writing, doing crossword puzzles, playing board or card games, engaging in group discussions, and playing music. 
In the following five years, those who placed in the highest third in terms of how often
they engaged in mentally stimulating activities were half as likely to develop mild cognitive impairment as those in the lowest third.  Agreed. And if you “we” stop learning and taking in new things, you may be more at risk for cognitive decline. An earlier report found a similar link between brain-stretching activities and a lower risk of Alzheimer’s.

Personally speaking, I am pleasantly surprised at how I can still discover music

One Key Question Ask Often:
What is the best water source one can drink to stay healthy or ward off cancer?
This is a good question considering the different regions of the United States have
various degrees in Quality Water. At my home here in Ohio I have well water with
a high iron content. 

Excess iron in your water can increase your risk of cancer.
Studies have shown iron can damage DNA and promote the growth of cancer cells.
Also, High levels of iron in the body can increase your risk of infections. Iron is an essential nutrient for bacteria, and high iron levels can help bacteria grow and spread. 
Iron has been suggested as a risk factor for different types of cancers mainly due to its prooxidant activity, which can lead to oxidative DNA damage.

Subjects with hemochromatosis or iron overload have been shown to have a higher risk
of developing liver cancer. There were 59 systematically reviewed epidemiologic studies,
linking iron and cancer published between 1995 and 2012, reporting information on total
iron, dietary iron, heme iron, and biomarkers of iron status and cancer risk. 
Furthermore, they conducted meta-analysis for colorectal [relative risk (RR), 1.08;
95% confidence interval (CI), 1.00-1.17], colon (RR = 1.12; 95% CI, 1.03-1.22), breast
(RR = 1.03; 95% CI, 0.97-1.09), and lung cancer (RR = 1.12; 95% CI, 0.98-1.29),
for an increase of 1 mg/day of heme iron intake.

Globally, on the basis of the systematic review and the meta-analysis results, a higher intake of heme iron has shown a tendency toward a positive association with cancer risk. Evidence regarding high levels of biomarkers of iron stores (mostly with serum ferritin) suggests a negative effect toward cancer risk.
More prospective studies combining research on dietary iron intake, iron biomarkers, genetic susceptibility, and other relevant factors need to be conducted to clarify these findings and better understand the role of iron in cancer development.

When you get on the internet you read a lot of misinformation. 
And many of the testing videos show misguided test results due in part to incorrect methods of testing. I come from a 100% non-biased place when I say that anything that goes from around having 10pH-12pH is considered strongly alkaline and mild hazard to drink. Anything above 12pH is caustic and is a hazard to drink. So, also when comparing Essentia & Alkaline 88, it seems like Alkaline 88 is safer to drink as it does not contain harsh chemicals, which are found in Essentia.

I highly DO NOT recommend Essentia water which is high PH because they add Sodium bicarbonate or baking soda which is not healthy to drink in high quantities or on a regular basis. Check your water’s ingredients don’t be tricked by high pH when they add chemicals to make it so.  Some tests state Purified water (by reverse osmosis), sodium bicarbonate, dipotassium phosphate, magnesium sulfate and calcium chloride, electrolytes (for taste).

Contradiction: I started giggling to myself before she got to the Essentia because
I KNEW it was going to blow all the other waters away like it ALWAYS does in test.
I said it before, and I’ll say it again Essentia water is the ONLY water worth money.

Statements: Could you test the water from the Glacier machine in the Publix stores?
I refill my gallon bottles through them. Curious to see what the PH is in that water is.

The pH level from this incoming source water is reduced by Glacier Water’s reverse osmosis system by approximately 1-2 pH units and usually ranges from high 5 pH

Rhonda Burroughs I usually add a tablespoon of baking soda to the 5-gallon jug,
but I tested the Glacier brand I buy in the machine with a pool test kit & the pH
came in the range of 7.2-7.4 so that is excellent

Abdel Rahman El Gendy the PH level is 4 and it is acidic as hell. I tested the water myself.

Is Glacier water that is purchased out of vending machines fluoridated?
Not unless it says “Fluoride” somewhere on the bottle. If it is truly spring or glacier water, it has no fluoride added naturally. If you’re asking about the “Glacier” branded vending machines found outside of supermarkets, they do not dispense water from glaciers.
They are connected to municipal water supplies.
They use a multi-step purification process to purify the tap water.
One of the steps in their purification process is reverse osmosis. Reverse osmosis can be effective in removing fluoride from water. It’s likely that some percentage of the fluoride added to municipal water supplies will remain. How large a percentage depends on the type of membrane used in the process.

How are Dasani and Aquafina still in business?

ALL the tests I see both are close to yellowish color.
They’re always the last brands left in stores 😂 even during the pandemic.
It’s not BAD for you to drink water between 7 and 10. It’s actually the best thing for you if you’re trying to be healthy or fight cancer. Your body is constantly fighting between being acidic and alkaline. When the fight is lost; disease, diabetes, cancer and deterioration begin.
Some people through their genetic make-up have to play the hand they’re dealt regardless of their life choices but through drinking and eating on the alkaline scale (greater than 7) you can stop, fight or prevent your body from disease.

Although being TOO alkaline could definitely be a problem, the thing is that it’s very hard to be too alkaline in this day and age where there are toxins and pollutants everywhere, making us acidic. We are only trying to buffer and neutralize the acidity and bring our body to a more balanced state. Plus, a lot of the food we eat is acidic (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing), as long as we keep our bodies balanced by doing things that produce alkalinity and thus help buffer the acidity and keep it in check.

I recently found out that purified water is bad for you because it has been filtered, taking away all of the essential minerals in the water. When you drink purified water, the water will naturally try to cling to any minerals that it can find. So, when you drink it, the water is pulling all the minerals from your body.
That is why you sometimes feel thirsty and “dry” after drinking purified water.
It is good to drink spring, glacier, or artesian water that is naturally infused with minerals, so that your body is being restored with the nutrients that it needs. Stay away from Smart water, Essentia, Dasani, Aquafina, or any water that says “purified.”
When testing water watch to see if they blow with a straw in the water.
One lady did this and it showed how the Body Armor watercolor faded after she did so.
Well part of the test should include oxidation to find the true pH. You would have to get
a straw and blow into the water for it to oxidize and find the real pH.

Otherwise, it’s King 0f misleading data. 👑

I only drink blue high alkaline bottled waters!! 😯

Can you please test Alkaline Water (bluewaterstt.com) …they claim to be 8-8.8 pH.
Good experiment, but you kind of blew it by saying: “it’s very alkaline thus I recommend drinking it”. Not every alkaline water is good to drink; they are kept alkaline with added chemicals + the fact that those bottled waters have preservatives so that they don’t go bad after a day or two.

A Kangen Water System is your best option if you can afford that —

John Andrew Smoltz (born May 15, 1967), nicknamed “Smoltzie” and “Marmaduke,”

Is an American former baseball pitcher who played 22 seasons in
Major League Baseball from 1988 to 2009, all but the last year with the Atlanta Braves. 
“[John]’s got a great fastball, a good breaking ball, and he has a good knowledge of pitching. When you’re looking at film, if there’s a mechanical flaw, he understands.
He’s not just a thrower. There might be a misconception there as far as his being a
thrower and not a pitcher. But he is a pitcher.
He knows what he wants to do, and when he executes it consistently,

 Smoltz was awful even before the start of 1991. For about a year’s worth of games before that first 2nd half game, Smoltz posted an ERA over 5. He started off as a young pitcher with great potential to be a staff ace but struggled in the 2nd half of ’90 and it continued
into ’91. This game however, and for the rest of the ’91 season after that, Smoltz turned it around and never looked back. It’s like he needed to go through that adversity and learn to overcome it to eventually become a main fixture in the Braves teams for nearly 2 decades.

with a 3.80 ERA. Meaning, from this start, he went 12 and 2 with a low 2 ERA to

A lot of stars in every sport aren’t stars right away. Some are, but most aren’t.
A lot of guys don’t put things ALL together until they hit their late 20’s.

It’s probably simplistic to say a single pitch could chart a pitcher’s path to the
Hall of Fame, but that might be just what happened for John Smoltz.

On a scorching July night 31 years ago, one pitch, to one batter, not only changed
the direction of an inning, but also, likely the direction of Smoltz’s season and,
by extension, his career.

Yes, one pitch.

As the Braves limped into the 1991 All-Star break a game under .500, 9 1/2 games
out of first place and with their surprisingly competitive season having lost momentum, Smoltz had wrapped up a nightmarish personal start to his third full season in the majors.

The 24-year-old former All-Star and touted “Young Gun” had a dismal 2-11
record and an ERA of 5.16. Almost nothing had gone right. Low run support.
Control problems. Big innings. Bad luck.
Smoltz later said he tried to use a contract dispute as emotional fuel to pitch better.
Not only did it not work, but he also said, it backfired big time.

“I know my teammates, my manager, my coaches are sick of seeing this,” Smoltz told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution after his last outing of the first half, a 7-6 loss to the Dodgers in which he gave up five earned runs and walked four batters in 1 2/3 innings.

“It’s not going to happen anymore.”

The Braves’ front office and manager Bobby Cox had a tough decision: send the struggling Smoltz to the bullpen, demote him to the minors or stick with him as a starter.

They stuck with him.

It was at this time that Braves GM John Schuerholz famously suggested Smoltz visit
sports psychologist Jack Llewellyn in hopes of solving the right-hander’s pitching ills,
which it was assumed were at least part mental.
“I knew that I wasn’t seeing the real John Smoltz,” Schuerholz later told the AJC.

Scheurholz made the suggestion on July 11. The next day, Smoltz met with Llewellyn for five hours before making his first start of the second half, according to an AJC report.

The crux of the advice: Prepare yourself mentally and don’t go negative.

But just three pitches into his game that night against the Cardinals,
Smoltz found himself in a frustratingly familiar position.

Milt Thompson led off with a solid single to left. Ozzie Smith followed with a bunt
hit down the third-base line. Three pitches, two on, nobody out. Here we go again.

Up stepped Smoltz’s former teammate, Gerald Perry. First pitch, a ball just inside.
Second pitch, a foul back. Third pitch, a ball low and inside.
Fourth pitch, a ball high and away — and a 3-1 count.

In the first half, the outcome would’ve been predictable — a walk, or perhaps a bloop single, would’ve led to a big inning for the Cardinals and another start spiraling out of control for Smoltz.

Now, just a few minutes into his first start of the second half, the 3-1 pitch to Perry became the most important pitch of the inning, maybe of the game, maybe of Smoltz’s season.

Smoltz released a fastball right down the middle. Perry swung hard and hit it — but just missed it. A harmless flyout to center. The runners held. The next batter, Todd Zeile, flew out to deep left on the first pitch. The runners held. Smoltz then struck out Felix Jose looking. Threat over.

He escaped unscathed. This was new.

Though only a half-inning, it felt like a turning point.
“When a guy turns a season around, you can always point back to something. And you may not know that it’s happening then,” Braves TV commentator and eventual Hall-of-Famer Don Sutton said as Smoltz pitched in the top of the second. “The last three batters in the first inning for John Smoltz … that’s three of the best-pitched sequences and the best job I’ve seen him do with runners on base this year.”

It was, as Sutton said later, “a different John Smoltz.”

Though Smoltz would run into trouble later in the game, even giving a 2-0 lead right back in the top of the fourth after the Braves went ahead in the bottom of the third, he limited the damage. He kept things manageable. He never trailed. That certainly was different for Smoltz to that point in 1991. The first-inning escape job had set a new tone. The pivotal moment, TBS announcer Skip Caray surmised, was Perry’s at-bat.

“You never know how things are going to work out,” Caray said in the sixth inning,
“But if John Smoltz gets his season turned around, remember the 3-1 pitch to Gerald Perry in the first inning with two on and nobody out.”
Twenty-four years later, we know how things worked out. Smoltz did turn his season around, which turned his career around. To put it another way, with that 3-1 fastball to Perry, it can be argued, John Smoltz became John Smoltz.

Smoltz went 6 1/3 innings that night, scattering seven hits and giving up two runs,
for his third win of 1991. As Smoltz left to a standing ovation in the seventh,
Caray called it “a most encouraging outing for the young right-hander.”

Things only got more encouraging from there.

After that win against the Cardinals on July 12, Smoltz went 11-2 over his final 17 starts, posting a 2.62 ERA in 117 innings and holding opponents to a .206 average.

Smoltz proved particularly dominating during the last two months. From Aug. 5 through Oct. 5, he went 8-1 with a 1.49 ERA — including a complete game to clinch the division for the Braves. 
He carried that success into the postseason, when he tossed a complete-game shutout 
on the road in Game 7 of the NLCS to beat the Pirates and send the Braves to the World Series, then pitched seven strong innings in Game 4 before dueling Jack Morris in perhaps the most memorable Game 7 in history.

Smoltz finished 1991 with a 14-13 record and an ERA of 3.80 in 229 2/3 innings. 
The media gave those mid-season psychology sessions a lot of credit for his turnaround, but Smoltz would later say the therapy played only a small role.

Still, overcoming his own doubts after the 2-11 start was key.
“When you start having doubts, you start creating an atmosphere of ‘things are going to go wrong,’ and they will,” Smoltz told “The Dan Patrick Show” in 2014. “… If you say, ‘don’t hang a slider’ or ‘don’t leave this pitch (up),’ … you start having negative thoughts, and those negative thoughts become positive reinforcement for what you don’t want to do.”

Whether the result of talks with Llewellyn, pitching skill, determination or a combination of the three, it’s clear that Smoltz’s turnaround in 1991 began July 12 against the Cardinals. And the turnaround started in the first inning on the 3-1 pitch to Perry — the pitch that,
it seems, changed everything.

Follow the logic:

The 3-1 pitch to Perry changed the direction of the inning, which changed the direction of the game, which gave Smoltz a needed confidence boost, which led to continued success down the stretch, which led to a dominant postseason, which led to more confidence and more growth, which led to years of excellence as a starter, which, despite having to reinvent himself after arm troubles, led to three years of excellence as a closer, which led to another successful stint as a starter, which made Smoltz a unique pitcher in baseball history, which stamped his ticket to Cooperstown.

Of course, it’s possible Smoltz could’ve failed to retire Perry and still gone on to a
Hall of Fame career. But it’s also possible, perhaps probable, it would’ve caused his ugly season to continue and prompted a demotion to the bullpen or the minors. From there,
it’s anyone’s guess the direction his career might’ve taken.

Fortunately for Smoltz, and for the Braves, the what-ifs don’t matter.

A new pitcher emerged on July 12, 1991, one who became a dominating presence,
who forged a reputation as one of the best postseason performers of all time,
who wanted the ball when it mattered most — and who you wanted to have it?

Eight All-Star Games, the 1992 NLCS MVP, the 1996 NL Cy Young Award,
the 2002 Rolaids Relief Award, 213 wins, 154 saves and 3,084 strikeouts.

In 2016, he experienced a seizure and doctors found he had a tumor the size of a golf ball in his brain, adding he suffers from glioblastoma grade four. After experiencing seizures, Israel Lemus was told there was a mass in his brain.
Weeks later, doctors gave him the gut-wrenching news and told him he had two months to live. Six years later Lemus is still alive.
While this is very rare, famous people have lost their battle with GBM.
Senator Ted Kennedy, the youngest brother of President John F Kennedy, died on 
August 25, 2009, from glioblastoma at the age of 77.
He suffered a seizure in May 2008 while walking his dogs outside his home in Barnstable,
Massachusetts and also Republican Sen. John McCain died in 2018.

Glioblastoma was described as an aggressive form of cancer found in a person’s brain or spinal cord that can happen at any age, causing headaches, nausea, vomiting, and seizures.
“Glioblastoma, also known as glioblastoma multiforme, can be very difficult to treat and a cure is often not possible. 
Treatments may slow progression of the cancer and reduce signs and symptoms,”
the Mayo Clinic’s website said.
Although the usual prognosis was 14 to 24 months, “they told Israel two months.
That was six years ago, and he has since endured three surgeries and all the cancer treatments available to him.

The young man’s doctor noted there was no cure, but also deemed it a “miracle.”
Dr. Jay-Jiguang Zhu of UTHealth Houston/Memorial Hermann, added the disease
was visible on the MRI. 
Therefore, medical teams did not call it being in remission. Zhu said a good attitude, support, and excellent doctors have also been a big part of the journey.
Doctors performed three surgeries and everything they could do to treat the cancer of Lemus at the time of his diagnosis but Lemus’ oncologist at UTHealth Houston and Memorial Hermann,

Dr. Jay-Jiguang Zhu, told him directly that it’s really not working and there’s no
more they could do to cure his worsening golf ball-sized glioblastoma in the brain.

When Lemus learned about the time left, he had, he immediately planned to have an engagement and get married and spend the rest of his life in his own house with wife.
He also grabs the chance to pursue the dreams he really wanted. He has done all
the things that some other man will do if they found out they have a time limit.

He was only 29 years old when he was diagnosed, but he’s still feeling great just like a healthy man, for he doesn’t feel sick at all. And what’s more astonishing is that his life is getting longer and longer until it reaches six incredibly years despite the two months life term.

The average length of survival for patients after being diagnosed is eight months, according to the National Brain Tumor Society. But doctors are optimistic —
as advances in research have helped extend patients’ lives even for a short period.

“I had always been a relatively healthy person,” Israel Lemus said.

For Lemus, glioblastoma came out of nowhere.

“I was getting ready for bed. (I was) brushing my teeth and looking in the mirror,
I lost control of my eyes; they started shooting up in the left repeatedly,” he said.

Soon after that, he started experiencing full-blown seizures. A few days passed before he was scheduled to have surgery, but at the time, he was only told there was a mass in his brain.
It wasn’t until weeks later, at just 29 years old, that Lemus received gut-wrenching news. Doctors told him he had very aggressive brain cancer, and he only had two months to live.

“It just turned my life upside down,” he said.

But as fate would have it, Lemus found the best team of physicians with UT Health Houston and Memorial Hermann. Now, Dr. Jay-Jiguang Zhu and his colleagues call Lemus a miracle. “We try to learn from him and many patients we call long-term survivors,” Zhu said.

Glioblastoma, or GBM for short, is a fast-growing brain tumor. Zhu said that about 15,000 people a year in the U.S. are diagnosed with this rare cancer. He explained it comes down to our genes. As our stem cells continue to grow in our brain, sometimes there’s a glitch, and that glitch can develop into a mass.

“Our cells (are) dividing all the time,” Zhu said. “We don’t see it, but that process sometimes, mistakes happen, and that mistake allows the cells to grow out of control.”
It’s when cells start miscommunication when disease array.

“I think, one day, we will have more effective treatment on the horizon,” Zhu said.

For the time being, he said a family support system, a strong team of doctors, and,
above all, faith is what have helped miracle patients like Lemus. “We don’t have this
magical answer. ‘Oh, this is it. We can copy that to many other patients.’

We love to know, but don’t,” he said.

Treatment for each patient is unique. It all depends on the size of the tumor and where it is. Lemus has had three surgeries to remove parts of the mass safely. He’s on two types of medication, rounds of radiation, and several rounds of chemo. While part of the cancer is still embedded in Lemus’ brain, his team of doctors has been able to keep it at bay for an amazing six years.

“I was able to get engaged to my girlfriend at the time,” he said. “We got married.
We bought our first home.” Lemus hopes he can provide a ray of hope for other patients and know there is life after diagnosis. “The first thing I do when I wake up and when I go to bed is, thank God for that day,” he said.

In the past few years, Lemus continued with life and got married, bought a house,

In the wake of Sen. Joe Manchin’s announcement that he won’t vote for a bill
addressing climate change unless inflation slows next month, climate leaders are
calling for President Biden to declare climate change a national emergency —
and it appears that the White House is seriously considering the move.
A formal declaration would open up new possibilities for unilateral action by the executive branch to combat climate change, including halting U.S. exports of crude oil and halting offshore drilling.
Biden could even redirect military funding to the construction of renewable energy projects — much as former President Donald Trump diverted more than $18 billion in Pentagon funding to build a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico — and impose trade penalties on countries that permit deforestation, such as the destruction of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil.
But such a creative use of the relevant federal law would also undoubtedly trigger lawsuits from fossil fuel companies and Republicans.

On Monday evening, Sens. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., and Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., held
a press conference to ask Biden to explore a range of actions to reduce climate pollution. Many of these, such as using the Defense Production Act to build up domestic clean energy manufacturing capacity, are extensions and expansions of moves Biden has already begun to make.
“There is probably nothing more important for our nation and for our world than for the United States to drive a bold, energetic transition in its energy economy from fossil fuels to renewable energy,” Merkley said.
Amid record-breaking heat waves in the Western U.S. and in Europe, Merkley
argued that climate change is no longer a future threat but an already unfolding disaster.

“My state is in crisis,” he said. “We have massive droughts that are destroying our farmers. It’s affecting our forests. We have the red zone where the pine beetles are killing the pine trees. We have forest fires … and we have a huge impact on our fishing, both in our streams and offshore.”
The most dramatic option that Merkley wants Biden to take is to declare a national emergency on climate. 
Later that evening, the Washington Post reported that the White House is indeed considering doing so. “The president made clear that if the Senate doesn’t act to tackle the climate crisis and strengthen our domestic clean energy industry, he will,” a White House official said in a statement. “We are considering all options, and no decision has been made.”
Speculation that the president would soon declare a climate emergency increased when
it was announced that he will visit the Brayton Point power plant in Somerset, Mass., on Wednesday to give a speech about climate change. Brayton Point is currently shuttered while it transitions from burning coal to generating wind power.

Rhetorically, Biden has previously called climate change an “emergency,” but he has stopped short of making an official declaration under the National Emergencies Act.

U.S. presidents have declared 60 national emergencies since 1976, according to
the think tank Demos. Historically, those have typically been for acute crises, such
as specific natural disasters, rather than a long-term predicament like climate change.
In an era of increased partisan polarization and congressional gridlock, however,
pushing the boundaries of executive action is becoming more common.
Trump, for instance, declared illegal migration across the southern border a national emergency so he could use funds that Congress appropriated for the military to build a border wall, a move the Supreme Court upheld in 2019.
In theory, such a precedent would bode well for a climate emergency declaration, but one cannot assume too much consistency from a court that has also become more partisan and seen fit to limit the ability of the Environmental Protection Agency to enforce the Clean Air Act.

The Associated Press reported that on Wednesday, Biden “will stop short of issuing
an emergency declaration that would unlock federal resources to deal with the issue,” according to a person familiar with the president’s plans.
Sources acquainted with the White House’s thinking also told Yahoo News that though a climate emergency declaration is under serious consideration, it will not be coming this week. Instead, the president will reportedly announce some new executive orders on climate change during his Massachusetts speech. “Don’t be disappointed
if you don’t see a climate emergency tomorrow,” one source told Reuters.
Biden has already signaled his intent to pursue an array of executive actions, such as stricter new rules limiting various pollutants. Until now, the White House has moved cautiously on executive actions on climate change, as it tried to get its proposal to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on subsidizing the adoption of electric vehicles and clean energy sources such as solar panels, formerly known as Build Back Better, through an evenly split Senate with unified Republican opposition. Absent Manchin’s support for that package, experts say, it will be virtually impossible for the United States to fulfill Biden’s pledge to reduce emissions by half this decade.
“If the Senate will not move to tackle the climate crisis and strengthen our domestic clean energy industry, I will take strong executive action to meet this moment,” Biden said in a statement released Friday evening.

Some environmental advocacy organizations have been urging Biden 
to declare climate, change a national emergency ever since he won the presidency.
“If he declares a national emergency, it triggers the ability for him to deploy around
130 different powers,” Jean Su, energy justice program director and senior attorney
at the Center for Biological Diversity, said. “One of the most useful for climate is the reinstatement of the crude oil export ban.”
Stopping the export of crude oil would reduce emissions by the equivalent of shutting
42 coal plants, according to the Center for Biological Diversity’s calculations, because it
would reduce domestic oil production.
“Shutting that off would actually reduce the incentive for companies from fracking
in the Permian Basin” in Texas and New Mexico, Su said. With an emergency declaration,
Biden could even phase out all exports and imports of fossil fuels entirely, she said.

Similarly, while the president already has the authority to stop selling new leases for offshore drilling, an emergency declaration would allow him to go further and stop issuing permits for offshore oil and gas wells under already existing leases and halt all drilling immediately. Whether he would do so is a different matter: He pledged on the campaign trail to end new fossil fuel leasing, but — feeling political pressure to look as if he’s pursuing every possible approach to lowering gasoline prices — the administration is currently considering selling new oil and gas leases in the Gulf of Mexico and in Cook Inlet in Alaska.
Su also argues that an emergency declaration would allow the White House to do more under the Defense Production Act (DPA) than it would under that law alone, such as marshaling funding under the DPA to deploy clean energy — for example, rooftop solar installations on low-income housing.

How much can you afford for gas? I am at my limit. wake up before it is too late.  On top of all that, China puts out more pollution than the rest of the world combined. Yet the USA is the bad guy in all this? PUHLEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSEEEEEEE…. It comes down to one thing: MONEY. The banking cartel has spent years trying to figure out how to tax us on the air we breathe. Now, instead of taxing us on the air we breathe in, they’ve figured out how to tax us on the air we breathe out. You want to understand climate change? Just follow the money trail……………… So, sending the world into economic chaos is an emergency now. Brandon should be addressing record high gasoline prices, runaway inflation, record southern border crossings and record high crime rates.

  What this means is Biden is acting like a dictator with an “executive decision” when the people’s representatives don’t vote for the radical extremist agenda of climate change. The majority of representatives not moving this agenda across the finish line shows that the majority of the country does NOT agree with this. I would demand impeachment if Biden does something illegal like this. I will pray republicans sue him if he tries. There is no climate crisis, only a political crisis on the democrat side.   Lame ducks are really scary. Any mess created; his party can blame him later. As usual, this will be a transfer of our money into the hands of the unknown. Much like the covid funds were. It will have zero effect on the climate.

  I think this country has several more pressing issues that could be better described as national emergencies instead of so-called climate change, which has always been debated. What about the lawlessness at the southern border? It is stated very clearly in the constitution that one of the main functions of the federal government is to protect the country’s borders – the federal government is a dismal failure at this constitutional requirement – no debate needed!

It is just another Biden trick to control us. Most of us cannot afford an electric car much less the costly upkeep of one. The climate is no more in trouble than it was 40 years ago when it got so hot that the highways buckled. Doesn’t anyone remember that? Besides, what are you going to do while you’re faced with an emergency and waiting for your car to charge?

The democrats are trying to make a play before the midterms because they know they are doomed by their own failures to help America! Instead, they insist on sending our money abroad helping nations while our own people suffer. As far as America is concerned the new green deal is done and the polls show the democratic party is also on its final stages of majority rule. We need their self-induced inflation like we need holes in our heads. Please vote for common sense and not on party lines! Our country is in grave danger by overreacting misfits pretending they were elected!  

Renewable energy is great and all but look at its impacts. Wind blades can’t be recycled, new batteries require tearing up the earth to get to metals needed, solar panels can be recycled. Trust me, if green energy was TRULY competitive and cheaper than fossil fuels, we wouldn’t need to force people to do it. This will simply create another crisis that will need to be solved…the same people creating the crisis’ are the same that have the solutions. Funny, I live in a state that is providing almost all my power via “green” energy and surprise, my bill has basically doubled in the last 5-7 years…I thought it was supposed to make it cheaper?
Last point…please provide the report that shows the total globe impact to climate change even if we did everything suggested here…. go ahead let’s see what the models show will change in America with all the suffering they’d push on people vs the MASSIVE costs.  To declare an independent climate emergency for 334m people is nuts. Why should the US be the only country that does this? If you want to declare a climate emergency, it has to be a collective effort.

But again – why the US alone?

The 4 countries above couldn’t possibly declare a climate emergency (maybe China because they are “ruled”) with a collective population of over 3 billion people. So, isolate the US with a population of 334m and #90 as the most populated country in the world? Please, stop isolating the US with a bunch of nonsense happening everywhere!

And I don’t feel like providing the long list of issues facing this country as it is.
It’s just another forceful approach that the administration will do although they’ve created enough damage as it is. I don’t need to save the world as a global power. I’m just a drop in the ocean like the majority of the citizens that agree with me.  If the situation is truly dire, why not restrict air travel both private and commercial including private jets used by the government (congress) stop all car racing cruise ships or similar activities stop using plastic for everything and look into more nuclear power generation?

Gas Would go up to about $15 a gallon, we would go into a depression, your electric bill would go sky high, groceries would triple. The American economy would be destroyed, and Russia and China would keep on doing what they’re doing and don’t care what the United States says. They would be nowhere for you to charge your electric car. And if you did find some where it would cost you about $300 for eight hours. There’s no amount of money you can obtain to change mother nature. In the end you would not be stopping anything. And Trump would be right Mexico would pay to finish the wall to keep us out and the candidate would probably start there.  How many times did the article mention a crude oil export ban?

What, does Biden want to cut down on chicken droppings too to help the climate? Biden and the rich democrats are bound and determined to end big oil and fossil fuels in place of Green Energy investments that they are waiting to make a killing on. That’s what this is about. When you look and see who is invested in all the Green Energy companies, you’ll realize this.

They are essentially co-conspirators. They won’t even tell us what’s going on with the Hunter Biden investigations. The nation has been crippled badly with his agenda and this will be the last straw of Working America.  Climate change fraud is a ploy to give the Far-Left extremist Biden unlimited power over our lives, to shut down the economy, prohibit private cars, to make us eat insects, and to reduce the entire nation to hunger in rags, like in all communist countries. So, in over SEVENTY YEARS the temps have risen 1.2 degrees! Holy cow, stop the presses, we need to …. do nothing. We are killing ourselves for 1.2 degrees.

I remember when it was “Global Warming,” then there was a short-lived “Global Cooling” and now its “Climate Change.” It’s all politics to depart you from your money. Summer is supposed to be hot. It’s not supposed to be comfortable.  This will do nothing to impact “climate change”. This will be to garner some praise from some fans of this egotistical belief that we can actually change the climate.
What next, an executive order to use a “way back machine” to change the past? Oh wait…. The only way you will stop this so-called climate change is to stop cutting down millions of trees daily. I’m not a tree hugger but common sense tells you that the tree is what keeps the earth cool. Trees help produce more rain to cool the earth as well. But we all know that this earth is meant to burn up.

Let me ask, how many of John Kerry’s homes have solar panels on them or round them? Are there any wind turbines in Vermont? Does Joe Biden have any homes powered by wind or solar? The answer to these questions is no. They own no electric cars or bio willie aircraft. while they parade around telling us that only more tax dollars will stop the crisis. while they are doing nothing to help. Wakeup people I wonder why more Republicans are not on board these initiatives, too. We are talking about a healthier environment and atmosphere. Also, consider that in a few decades, with lots of climate science research and resources that are carbon limited, we may even be able to create mechanisms for some climate control.

Maybe tell John Kerry to quit jetting around the world spewing garbage out his mouth about emissions and then maybe some people would pay more attention. It is almost likely that we will hear a states’ rights argument if Biden would declare a climate emergency.
The result of that is yet more head in the sand inaction on man’s contributing to our climate/weather changes. It is hard to deny that there are more than just natural cycles happening to our climate/weather. After all the hubbub about Trump being a “dictator”, we’re going to allow a senile bumbler to become one man rule on something as important as energy??? This is insanity. One more step towards the Great Reset.

If Biden stupidly declares a “climate emergency,” the number of moderate democrat
voters defecting to the GOP will increase immediately and exponentially. Over 2 million moderate democrat voters have already defected to the GOP in the first half of 2022 with another million expected by November and we will be voting straight red as a vote AGAINST the radical leftist extremism that has kidnapped and infected our once-decent political party. If we moderate democrat voters cannot expel the leftists from our party, we will beat them at the polls. I don’t see Biden declaring such an emergency. For one thing that would be a bold move and he’s just too timid. Secondly, he doesn’t seem to care about campaign promises made which makes you doubt whether he really thinks climate change is an existential crisis.

This is all just a joke. The planet is going through another change.
It’s not global warming, it is a phase that occurred hundreds of years ago. In 50 years or more it will change to arctic air and the planet once again gets cold. Someone needs to tell us what is normal with our planet. I remember 60 years ago we had very cold winters and then people were saying that the planet was dying because of all the cold temperatures. Someone needs to convince me what the norm is. The leading cause of Climate Change is warning labels. Without warning labels, Mother Nature was able to get rid of the weakest of the herd. Now we are stuck with them and they breed and contribute to greenhouse gasses and have a carbon footprint that would not be there.

China and India continue to build coal powered electrical generation plants. So, while Jurassic Biden cackles on about a phony crisis, and our economy tanks, the rest of the world grows in economic strength. When will the less intelligent who believe they can control weather wake up? The Sun is our source of climate and until the deficient leader of the free world wakes up, we are doomed.

What happens when he declares an emergency is we spend more money that we don’t have, on things that we don’t need or that won’t work to change the climate. The items
we will be purchasing will be made by those companies that Nancy Pelosi’s husband just happened to have recently invested in.  “Su said. With an emergency declaration, Biden could even phase out all exports and imports of fossil fuels entirely”.
Seems clear that the Biden Admin wants to shut down the petroleum industry.
If Biden pulls the trigger on an emergency order that includes this kind of action,
you will see lawsuits and $10/gal gas and doubling inflation. Every product made from hydrocarbon as well as the means of getting it to market will contribute to scarcity and inflation Even the smug, elite EV owners will see scarcity and higher cost as brown outs sweep the nation and our already overtaxed power grid fizzles even more because 65%
of the power source is, you guessed it, Hydrocarbon.
