But before doing so take into account human nature.

Perhaps the problem is that we abdicated our civic responsibility living in a constitutional republic by not doing our part in all civic matters from school board to federal elections. We collectively sit on our asses’s and repeat stupid slogans that seem to make sense at face value, to justify our apathy.

Such as choosing the lesser of two evils is still evil; my vote doesn’t matter; one victim of this or that is one too many so we end up allowing a reasonably well functioning society to descend into utter chaos. As a result, what kind of people rise to the top?

But we better think long and hard about where to look for answers and solutions and accountability. Oh, you’re absolutely right.

We agree however the status quo is what we have to deal with. We can talk about how we could have made this better.

This younger generation is not going to go well for us older people that have retired or are going to retire.

If you look around, every kid is following somebody with their phone in their hand, they don’t even know where they’re going just as long as they’ve got that phone to entertain them.

Here in the state at the gas pumps while you’re pumping gas, they’re selling us commercials and broadcasting it really loud from the pump.

As an older adult, I can’t stand this while the younger generation has no idea that every moment of their life is now occupied by somebody else’s thoughts or someone else’s creation and a lot of it is subliminal.

That’s why I live out in the country. I don’t wanna deal with that. It still permeates even in the small towns.

But there is no escaping it. Short term yes, but sooner or later it will have to be dealt with. One way or another.

We might have a slim chance to buy time to sort things out with civility, but the clock is running out fast.

We need to put our emotions aside and look at objective reality and move from there.

I’m glad you went into the weeds to point out that we have devolved into crony capitalism. I was too vague in my opening comment. In retrospect I should have specified free market capitalism.

As long as political parties determine who rules over us, our vote is largely void.

We will soon no longer have the ability to divert our path to blatant fascism. Free market capitalism is the opposite of crony capitalism. Capitalism needs regulations and we do or did or used too.

Nothing is free, and if it comes from the government, they probably stole it from someone who worked for it.

Biden has proven that he is a communist and in many ways hurt our country through inflation, crime, shrank our oil reserve and allowed 9 million illegals in the country and that’s just a start, Now provide specific facts to support the opinions about Biden being Pro American. The government has become bloated and a massively wasteful bureaucracy that steals from the citizens via taxes.

We are simply stuck in the system we have here, and I don’t think I’d want to live anywhere else, but there is a vast amount of room for improvement.

The very first and BEST way to fix nearly every problem, is actually to make ALL political positions UNPAID. Volunteer only, no retirements, just serve and go back to your day job.

Second is TERM LIMITS. NO politician or official can serve more than 2 terms.

No one within 3 degrees of any kind of relation to any of the above are allowed to hold any position, to help prevent nepotism and cronyism.

Third, very important, is to actually hold ALL members of the government very strictly to a rule of ANY law or ordinance written or voted into law shall apply equally and fully to every member. No addendums or sub chapters or anything else can be added or subtracted from that.

There comes a time when over taxation becomes a huge burden. We text when we buy something and then we are taxed again at the end of the year and then we are taxed on the property that we hopefully owned that has a house on it.

They have a stranglehold on us and they keep on upping our taxes.

Real communism isn’t the real answer but would be awesome, but to date, human greed has forbidden it being implemented anywhere. Just like “democracy”, the term is used to trick the masses into thinking they have as much freedom as the rich. Yet, crony capitalism is completely different from true free market capitalism. My mother says today’s Capitalism is nothing short of greedism and she was born in 1929.

Seeing as America has not been attacked in many many decades, I don’t see a need for a trillion dollar “defense” budget, AND having had dealings with the armed services in a corporate manner with BOEING Georgia, I know for fact just how insanely ridiculous and beyond wasteful they are. Not only wasteful but their systems in MANY ways are incredibly inefficient. And they made millions through government tax breaks that didn’t pay well.

The old pale stale white male military industrial complex is a curse on both our countries-wasteful and corrupt as; politics is a tough gig though; no one will work that hard for free -a good politician works really really hard (and there are some, not many but some lol). When you have Nepotism and cronyism-good luck with eliminating that. In our capitalist societies money is power and the golden rule is “whoever has the gold makes the rules”.

Capitalism is good for business and consumers are powerless against it. Also We will keep pressing the lever of consumption with stuff we don’t need and whatever else that lights up the brain’s reward center. Human Nature will eventually correct the situation and humans will not like the result. Capitalism is not bad in itself. However when the corrupt seek to stack the odds to ensure their profits, that’s “run-away capitalism”, or fascism.

Or communism where everyone is equal but some more so than others lol
