AGELESS & TIMELESS

( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ ) True Talent is AGELESS and TIMELESS. WE LOVE BLONDIE!!! ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )

Kylie Jenner’s noticeably thinner lips aren’t the most shocking thing to come out of this year’s Coachella – it’s Debbie Harry’s appearance! The 77-year-old (yes, you read that right!) Blondie’s frontwoman left her fans in awe when she performed at the California music festival last weekend in a dazzling mirror-mosaic ensemble, and her fans couldn’t help but gush over her ageless appearance!
The official Blondie Instagram account shared a picture of the “One Way Or Another” singer posing alongside the equally legendary Nile Rodgers, 70, who also joined the band on stage, on April 16th. The first image in the two-image carousel shows the 80s music icon dressed all in black, with her signature blonde hair offering the perfect juxtaposition, and posing alongside the guitarist with her eyes closed.
She was also rocking an amazing silver eyeshadow that was *impossible* to ignore, which even complimented Rodgers’ ensemble too! The second picture in the carousel showed the two of them doing their thing on stage; and naturally fans took to social media to rave over not only her appearance, but also the incredible performance Debbie and the band gave!

Fan Comments About ‘Iconic’ Debbie Harry
The official Blondie Instagram captioned the post: “Sending out genuine gratitude to
the extraordinary @nilerodgers for joining us on the @Coachella stage… unparalleled!”
“Two icons!” one fan exclaimed in the comments section, while someone else raved,
“Our eternal queen! Blondie!”

“Two of the greatest,” another fan gushed, followed by three red heart emojis, while another called her “unbelievable” and another said she was “iconic.” “Looking amazing, both of you,” praised another fan, while someone else said: “My goodness Debbie.
You look as magnificent as you did the first time [I saw] you 44 years ago.”

Deborah Ann Harry (born Angela Trimble; July 1, 1945)

Is an American singer, songwriter and actress, best known as the lead vocalist
of the band Blondie. Four of her songs with the band reached No. 1 on the US charts between 1979 and 1981.Born in Miami, Florida, Harry was adopted as an infant and
raised in Hawthorne, New Jersey.
After attending college, she worked various jobs—as a dancer, a Playboy Bunny
and a secretary (including at the BBC in New York)—before her breakthrough in
the music industry. Harry co-formed Blondie in 1974 in New York City.
The band released its eponymous debut album in 1976, and released a further three albums between then and 1979, including Parallel Lines, which spawned six singles, including “Heart of Glass“.
Their fifth album, Autoamerican (1980), afforded Harry and the band further attention, spawning such hits as a cover of “The Tide Is High“, and “Rapture“, the latter of which is considered the first rap song to chart at number one in the United States.[1]

Harry released her debut solo album, KooKoo, in 1981.
During a Blondie hiatus, she embarked on an acting career,
appearing in lead roles in the neo-noir Union City (1980) and in David Cronenberg‘s
body horror film Videodrome (1983). She released her second solo album, 1986’s Rockbird, and starred in John Waters‘s cult dance film Hairspray (1988).
Harry went on to release two more solo albums between then and 1993, after
which she returned to film with roles in a John Carpenter-directed segment of
the horror film Body Bags (1993), and in the drama Heavy (1995).

Blondie reunited in the late 1990s, releasing No Exit (1999), followed by The Curse of Blondie (2003). Harry continued to appear in independent films throughout the 2000s, including Deuces Wild (2002), My Life Without Me (2003) and Elegy (2008).
With Blondie, she released the group’s ninth studio album, Panic of Girls, in 2011, followed by Ghosts of Download (2014). The band’s eleventh studio album, 2017’s Pollinator, charted at number 4 in the United Kingdom.

Blondie is an American rock band co-founded
by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist  Chris Stein.[1]
The band was a pioneer in the American new wave scene of the mid-1970s in New York.
Their first two albums contained strong elements of punk and new wave, and although highly successful in the UK and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the U.S. until the release of Parallel Lines in 1978.

Over the next four years, the band achieved several hit singles[2] including
One Way or Another“, “Heart of Glass,” “Call Me,” “Atomic,” “The Tide Is High,”
and “Rapture“.[3] The band became noted for its eclectic mix of musical styles,
also incorporating elements of discopopreggae, and early rap music.

Blondie disbanded after the release of its sixth studio album,
The Hunter, in 1982. Debbie Harry continued to pursue a solo career
with varied results after taking a few years off to care for partner Chris Stein,
who was diagnosed with pemphigus, a rare autoimmune disease of the skin.[4]
The band re-formed in 1997, achieving renewed success and their sixth number
one single in the United Kingdom with “Maria” in 1999, exactly 20 yrs. after their
1st UK No. 1 single (“Heart of Glass”).

The group toured and performed throughout the world[5] during the following years,
and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.[6]

Blondie has sold around 40 million records worldwide[7][8] and is still active.
The band’s eleventh studio album, Pollinator, was released on May 5, 2017.

Blondie devotees are in shock with Debbie Harry’s seemingly ageless
Coachella performance, She has, is and will always be a true Iconic Legend.

After seeing Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry perform at the California music
festival, fans were shocked to learn of her advanced age, and many rushed to social media to express their amazement. The Blondie bombshell is still going strong at the ripe old age of 77, surprising many. To the delight of the crowds, Harry performed in a bodysuit made of broken mirrors and black cloth. As she sang into the microphone, she also beamed her famous grin at the audience.

Debbie‘s distinctive blonde hair is still intact, and she styled it in a short, wavy bob.
The singer’s makeup was minimal overall, but she did use heavy black eyeshadow to
draw attention to her eyes. She used thick black sunglasses with her grey utilitarian
style gloves and pants to complete her ensemble.

Debbie sang several Blondie hits during her Coachella set,
and was joined onstage by Nile Rodgers. Debbie performed her greatest hits under the California sun to an enthusiastic crowd that sang along. Fans couldn’t help but swoon over the Blondie star’s voice when they went to a YouTube video of her appearance to comment on Harry’s set. One enthusiastic supporter said in all capitals, “Omg, she is still freaking amazing, love it!

Good for her and amazing for us!”

“Debbie Harry and Nile Rodgers were the high points
of an otherwise underwhelming Coachella” another writer penned.
Third die hard supporter: “Blondie showing to these kids what rock ‘n’ roll is.”
Many were shocked to hear Debbie was so old, while Harry was praised as “iconic, legendary, and fantastic.” Other festival-goers took to Twitter to discuss Debbie’s performance at Coachella, and many had nothing but positive things to say about
the 80s icon.

“Blondie had the best set at this year’s Coachella, even at 70+ years old Debbie Harry
is still killing it. Only performers that I recall can actually sing.” A fan account tweeted some photos of Debbie performing, describing her as “what a true legendary and iconic frontwoman looks like” before they admitted they “couldn’t believe her set happened”.

During their set at day one of Coachella 2023 (April 14), Blondie welcomed
Nile Rodgers out onstage to join them for two songs: their 1980 hit ‘Rapture’,
and Deborah Harry’s 1981 solo track ‘Backfired’.  Sending out gratitude to the
extraordinary @nilerodgers for joining us on @Coachella stage… unparalleled!

Rodgers has long been a part of the extended Blondie family – he produced the album
that ‘Backfired’ appears on (‘KooKoo’), and ‘Rapture’ was notably inspired by the Chic
song ‘Good Time’. He performed guitar on both songs, following the band’s cover of
‘The Tide Is High’ by The Paragons.
