Michael Byrd, a black officer and coward who should have faced charges as serious as other white officers around the country have faced in other shootings, usually of black males.
Those charges should have included First Degree Murder. He premeditatedly pulled his service weapon ( one he had left behind previously in a toilet) aimed and shot at Ashli, a small lady who was offering no threat of any physical nature to that coward. He pulled the trigger and murdered her. He got a free pass and is, as I said previously, considered a hero among the leftists and extremists in the administration.

So 20 Democrats could vote for him and shove a stick in the eye of Republicans. They obviously don’t want McCarthy either. Which could be a good thing for McCarthy. If Democrats broke the stalemate they could say they trust him, and believe he will work with them, and be willing to compromise on Important Legislation to preserve Democracy. McCarthy is just clueless. He thought that he was going to have MAGA Republicans help him hit 218 for House Speaker. McCarthy thought that by using “talking points” and pretty much saying what the people wanted to hear that people would forget what happened in the 2022 Midterms with Republicans underachieving and let “bygones be bygones.”
McCarthy failed to realize that MAGA Republicans were paying attention to how McCarthy would suck up to the GOP one moment, then suck up to the Dems the next moment. McCarthy would be ineffective as House Speaker and MAGA Republicans know this and that is why they are a Nay. McCarthy needs to step down and remove himself from House Speaker consideration because McCarthy’s political career is over.
