BUT there is an elephant in the room re ‘unvaxxed elderly’. Why are they ‘unvaxxed’? In many cases (the majority probably) it is because they CAN’T be as they are so i’ll already be with other stuff. So these need to be deducted. Plus unvaxxed also includes vaxxed less than 2 weeks prior.

Wrong. 1) the death rate you’re using is only for tested cases, which will over-sample vaxxed deaths because the only vaxxed cases which will get tested are serious ones. Most vax takers won’t ever need to be tested. (2) This is Delta variant only and there is no vaccine for this yet.

If you look at the table those unvaccinated have a higher death rate; you’re only looking at a segment of the population, the over 50s, this is half the story.
