I get them when people ask me the significance of this website’s name. The answer is and will always be … it is what it is? The real answer to that burning need to know is my father played solitaire the card game. This is my alone game I began trying to find answers to cancer. Understanding the cancer patient has a lonely feeling not knowing what it takes to heal.
Often throughout my travels interviewing cancer patients, I hear them say, “I came down with cancer after a life changer.” Meaning a divorce, lost of a love one, job lost … et cetera. Everyday stress becomes that flutter in your stomach. With most of us knowing this sensation has an unscientific name called, Butterflies in Your Stomach.
As it turns out there are some scientific reason behind this sensation you may not have heard about. The digestive system closely linked to a person’s thoughts and emotions should be considered. Therefore, when the brain perceives a potential threat for survival it increase its alertness. With rising heart rates, blood pressure and breathing rates it’s in a fight or flight mode.
With the central nervous system stimulating the adrenal glands, thereby, releasing hormones including adrenaline and cortisol that can turn your hands sweaty. While muscle tension in your stomach helping keep you alert and perspiration cooling the body down. With the stomach muscles ultra- sensitive during this fight or flight response.
This added sensitivity maybe partly responsible for the fluttering that’s going inside your stomach. Some researchers also refer to the stomach as a “second brain,” based upon the findings the gut contains 100 million tiny neurons linking it to the brain. Known as the brain – gut axis, so when we’re feeling nervous during a major life – changer our brain communicates that anxiety to the gut. With this anxiety quite possibly weakening your immune system causing chronic inflammation.
Sometimes causing nausea since this adrenaline rush can temporarily stop digestion. Blood leaves places where it’s not needed like in the stomach. Flowing instead to body parts where it might be necessary like leg muscles so you can run for your life. Butterflies are usually harmless, however, ‘if ‘ those feelings start interfering with life… might be time to speak to a doctor.
A frequent nervous stomach may be a sign of an anxiety disorder, panic attack, or even a gastrointestinal disorder. Stress can often prompt disease as I often hear, “I lost my job, got a divorce or had a life changing event then found out I had cancer. I believe attitude has a lot to do with healing…. when you have a dis -ease, it’s not only physical, but also mind, body and spirit.
With a cancer diagnosis you realize this battle has gotten a lot worse with the fear of radiation and chemotherapy on the horizon. You begin to seekout answers, not knowing the perimeters of Natural Medicine. Your often with just little in your pocket turn to the unknown. Medicinal “Cannabis Oil” is an option because you hear it beats being cut, burnt or poisoned.
However, most don’t take the time…. to do the active research it takes to know. Sometimes it takes the synergy effect of several blends for it to cure. Also that you might want to use it with a “fatty substance” (Budwig Protocol of cottage cheese, flaxseed oil and a dollop of lecithin plus a polyphenol that makes the medicinal oil more predictable.) So just don’t go out and find anybody and expect an immediate miracle?
Also with the infinite wisdom of our Government through their lobbyist, telling people that Laetrile “Vitamin B17” is lethal. True it affects people in different ways just like statins, however, the cyanide in Apricot Kernels will only kill cancer cells. As it takes a bitter kernel sun dried 3 days, with only one seed consumed for every 20 pounds of body weight in a 12 hour period. Thanks…..
