Today is a very special day! Today, we honor and celebrate the woman who was the inspiration and namesake of the Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation! Ora Lee “Auntee” Smith raised Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green from the age of four, serving as her mother & legal guardian.
When Auntee announced that she had cancer and would rather die than experience the harsh side effects of chemotherapy & radiation treatments, Dr. Green knew there had to be a better way.
In becoming a medical physicist and creating the Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation, Dr. Green aims to ensure that, one day, no one else will have to opt out of treatment to avoid the side effects of today’s cancer treatment. To find out more about
