a cure for cancer, as always, you should consult your physician before starting
any new medications or treatment plans.

What is the Joe Tippin Cancer Protocol?

If you have been diagnosed with cancer or have a loved one that is suffering
from cancer, chances are you have heard about the Joe Tippens Cancer Protocol.

Joe Tippens founded the protocol after he was told a story about a scientist
at Merck Animal Health that had been performing cancer research on mice.
The research included injecting different types of cancers into different mice body parts. The scientists discovered, through trial and error, a product in their canine product line, fenbendazole, that was batting 1.000 in killing these different cancers in the mice.
The scientist was later diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and was given a grim prognosis of only three months to live. She decided to try the fenbendazole, and after six weeks, showed a clean scan. Joe Tippens had been initially diagnosed with small cell lung cancer.
The cancer later spread to his neck, right lung, stomach, liver, bladder, pancreas and tail bone. Like the scientist from Merk Animal Hospital, Joe was told he only had three months to live. In 2017, after hearing the story of the scientist who treated her cancer with a canine drug, Joe decided he was going to do the same. However, in addition to taking the fenbendazole, Joe added his own ingredients to the regimen (curcumin, CBD oil, and vitamin E), thus creating the Joe Tippens Cancer Protocol. In this article, we will provide information about each ingredient included in the protocol.

Fenbendazole

If you have animals, you have probably heard of fenbendazole, as it is a drug used to treat parasites and worms (roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and some tapeworms) in animals. However, Joe uses it as a cancer treatment method.
Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole, a class of microtubule-destabilizing agents. Other benzimidazoles, including albendazole, parbendazole, mebendazole and flubendazole have already been shown to have promising results in humans. While there have been very few scientific studies done on the possible cancer fighting benefits of fenbendazole, one such study suggests that fenbendazole has “been safely utilized as an anti-parasitic for various different animal species and could be repurposed for treating human malignancies.”

Another study states that the “repurposing of veterinary drugs showing promising results for human use can result in considerable time and cost reduction required to develop new drugs.” Altogether, our findings show microtubule disruption, p53 stabilization and interference with glucose metabolism as collective underlying mechanisms of FZ induced preferential elimination of cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo.
The Joe Tippens Cancer Protocol suggests a dose of 222 mg per day (1 gram of Panacur C), seven days a week. It is also recommended that the fenbendazole be taken with food.

Curcumin
Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric, a spice native to Southeast Asia. People have been using turmeric for its medicinal properties for over 4,000 years, and curcumin is reported to be the source of turmeric’s healing abilities. Curcumin is believed to have antioxidant properties, which means it can help decrease swelling and inflammation. It is also said to help with arthritis, eye health, kidney health and is a potential cancer treatment option.
According to a 2019 study, “the anticarcinogenic activity of curcumin has been documented in the GI tract because this compound has proven to exert a therapeutic
effect on different human GI cancers such as esophageal, gastric, and small and large intestinal cancer.”
Because curcumin is absorbed poorly during digestion, it is important to find a
bio-available form to achieve the desired results. The Joe Tippens Cancer Protocol recommends taking 600 mg (2 pills per day) of bio-available curcumin 7 days a week.

Vitamin E
The Joe Tippens Cancer Protocol originally called for Vitamin E to be included in the regimen. However, it has since been deemed optional due to the potential medication interactions (ex. blood thinners). Because of the frequency of Vitamin E having to be removed, it is no longer a requirement. If you choose to add Vitamin E to your protocol,
it is recommended to take 400-800mg per day, seven days a week.
The National Institutes of Health states “” Vitamin E” is the collective name
for a group of fat-soluble compounds with distinctive antioxidant activities.”
Antioxidants protect cells from the damaging effects of free radicals, which are
molecules that contain an unshared electron.
Scientists are investigating whether, by limiting free-radical production and also
possibly through other mechanisms, vitamin E might help prevent or delay the
chronic diseases associated with free radicals.

Full Spectrum CBD Oil
The most abundant compound in hemp plants found in the flower and leaves is Cannabidiol, or CBD. CBD is one of more than 100 different cannabinoids that can be extracted from the hemp plant. CBD is a cannabinoid, meaning it acts on the endocannabinoid system of the body. CBD is more specifically referred to as a Phyto cannabinoid, meaning that it is a cannabinoid originating from a plant. Cannabinoids do not have to come from within us to affect our endocannabinoid system, which is why CBD is able to impact us.
Because their molecular makeup is similar to that of endocannabinoids, cannabinoids originating outside our bodies can interact with our endocannabinoid systems, altering activity and delivering therapeutic benefits.
According to a recent report, “several studies have now shown that CB1 and CB2
receptor agonists can act as direct antitumor agents in a variety of aggressive cancers.”
Full Spectrum CBD oil is an important part of the Joe Tippens Cancer Protocol.
However, it is important not to choose just any CBD brand. Make sure the CBD oil you choose is made from USDA-certified organic hemp, it has no pesticides included, and that the company you purchase from can provide current certificates of authentication (COAs) for their products.

The Joe Tippen’s Cancer Protocol recommends taking 25 mg of CBD oil
sublingually (under the tongue) seven days a week.

5 Key Considerations When Buying CBD Oil.

It’s important to do your research and choose a company you know is producing a
high-quality product from start to finish. Just because it’s labeled CDB doesn’t mean
you’re getting the same quality product from every company.

Choose CBD that is created from USDA-certified organic hemp.
Just because a company claims their CBD product is from organic hemp doesn’t mean it is. Choosing a company that can prove they extract their CBD from USDA certified organic hemp ensures the product does not contain chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or toxic concentrations of heavy metals. Always ask to see the company’s USDA certification before buying. You can find ours here.

Learn how the CBD is extracted.
There are multiple methods of extracting compounds from plants. It’s important to select a company that uses CO2 extraction and who has great oversight of the extraction process. We’re partnered with a local extractor who uses supercritical CO2 extraction. Being local, our Quality Assurance team regularly meets with the extractor to ensure what’s on the label is what’s truly in the CBD product. Learn more about our extraction processes here.

Understand the type of CBD product you are using.
There are different types of CBD to choose from including full spectrum CBD and CBD isolate. Knowing what type of CBD, you’re taking is very important as it influences the overall effectiveness of the product. Here at Laura’s, all of our CBD products are full spectrum. We take great care to stay as close to the hemp plant as possible and to create authentic, healthy farm products that simply work.

Request third-party product tests.
The CBD industry is unregulated and rapidly growing, making it a target for
“fly-by-night” companies trying to make a quick dollar.
That inevitably leads to low quality and misrepresented products. The third-party
should test every batch of CBD products with an ISO-accredited lab specialized in hemp testing. These include tests for the overall cannabinoid profile, CBD concentration, THC concentration, pesticides, and microbial matter. Our customers are able to search their lot number here, where they can see the lab results for their particular product.

Research the company’s reputation.
Laura’s Mercantile is led by Laura Freeman, the founder and CEO of Laura’s Lean Beef
for 23 years, as well as a known agricultural innovator. Following a bad horseback riding accident, Laura found CBD to be central to her recovery, which led to her growing hemp for CBD. She now runs Mt. Folly Farm, one of the state’s largest USDA-certified organic farms, where the hemp for Laura’s Homestead Alternatives CBD is grown.
