My brother and sister were double vaccinated 6 months ago and they both just got Covid, and they both spread it to others. That’s possible. The vaccine isn’t 100% effective. But for the vast majority it works very well. MrSuperCereal is literally making a case for getting the vaccine saying both his relatives got vaccinated and still got Covid but had manageable symptoms and will be fine. Sounds like the vaccine is doing its job. Now if only more people got it to reduce the effects even more.
The vaccine doesn’t stop you getting Covid but severely lessens the impacts, unless you are suggesting the flu vaccines stop you getting the flu too (which we know they don’t)! But I agree fear is enabling analysis paralysis! Because the higher the percentage of vaccinated people, the higher the percentage that positive infections will be of vaccinated people. It’s basic maths. The vaccines do not make you 100% immune from the virus. The vaccine doesn’t stop you from getting COVID.

The figures actually show that the unvaccinated are 11 times more likely to be hospitalized with Covid. The ratio for deaths is likely to be even higher.
