20/20 Vision

1. Selfishness helps us find the fault in others, rather than see the flaws in ourselves.
2. So we can grow grow toward God and grow together as a family
3. We have to get the selfish part of ourselves out of the way,
therefore, we can not be selfish to a fault.

What Is the Sign of “the Last Days,” or “End Times”?
The Bible describes events and conditions that would mark “the conclusion of the [current] system of things,” or “the end of the world.” (Matthew 24:3King James Version) The Bible calls this time period “the last days” and the “time of the end,” or “end times.” (2 Timothy 3:1; Daniel 8:19;  (Easy-to-Read Version)
The following are some outstanding features of the last-days, or end-times, prophecies:
What Will Happen In 2020?  I’m not referring to the 1970s well-known group that came out with
“Lowrider,” or “The World is a Ghetto.” I am referring to what Dictionary.com defines as “a conflict carried on by force of arms, as between nations or between parties within a nation; warfare, as by land, sea, or air.”
We’ve often heard the phrase, “War is hell!”
I came across an article from an old publication, “Today In the Word,” that was published back in June 19, 1992. The article stated, “A group of academics and historians have compiled this startling information: Since 3600 B.C., the world has known only 292 years of peace! During this period there have been 14,351 wars large and small, in which 3.64 billion people have been killed. The value of the property destroyed is equal to a golden belt around the world 97.2 miles wide and 33 feet thick. Since 650 B.C., there have also been 1,656 arms races, only 16 of which have not ended in war. The remainder ended in the economic collapse of the countries involved.” Now, keep in mind that this was printed back in 1992.

15 Reasons The World Will End in 2020 – THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

How much more, today, have we accumulated in the pangs of war?
War. It has always been a reality. For many, a very close, backyard reality! Especially
in Middle East, and other third world countries. Is war something that we, as Christians,
need to be against? What does the Bible teach about war?
Many people make the mistake of reading what the Bible says in Exodus 20:13, “You shall not kill,”
and then seeking to apply this command to war. However, the Hebrew word literally means
“the intentional, premeditated killing of another person with malice; murder.”
God often ordered the Israelites to go to war with other nations (1 Samuel 15:3; Joshua 4:13).
God ordered the death penalty for numerous crimes (Exodus 21:12, 15; 22:19;
Leviticus 20:11). So, God is not against killing in all circumstances, but only murder.
War is never a good thing, but sometimes it is a necessary thing.
In a world filled with sinful people (Romans 3:10-18), war is inevitable.
Sometimes the only way to keep sinful people from doing great harm to the innocent
is by going to war. In the Old Testament, God ordered the Israelites to “take vengeance
on the Midianites for the Israelites” (Numbers 31:2). Deuteronomy 20:16-17 declares,
“However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance,
do not leave alive anything that breathes.
Completely destroy them…as the LORD your God has commanded you.”
Also, 1 Samuel 15:18 says, “Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; make war on them until you have wiped them out.” Obviously God is not against all war. Jesus is always in perfect agreement with the Father (John 10:30), so we cannot argue that war was only God’s will in the Old Testament.
God does not change (Malachi 3:6; or James 1:17).

What about when Jesus returns? Jesus’ second coming will be exceedingly violent. Revelation 19:11-21 describes the ultimate war with Christ, the conquering commander who judges and makes war “with justice”
(v.11). It’s going to be bloody (v. 13) and gory. The birds will eat the flesh of all those who oppose Him (v. 17-18). He has no compassion upon His enemies, whom He will conquer completely and consign to a
“fiery lake of burning sulfur” (v. 20).
It is an error to say that God never supports a war. Believe it or not, Jesus is not a pacifist.
In a world filled with evil people, sometimes war is necessary to prevent even greater evil.

If Hitler had not been defeated by World War II, how many more millions would have been killed?
If the American Civil War had not been fought, how much longer would African-Americans have had to suffer as slaves? War on a large scale.—  You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.  Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:4.

World War III And The New World!

Famine.— “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord God, “when I will send a famine on the land— not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and from, to seek the word of the Lord,
but they shall not find it. Amos 8:11-12

Great earthquakes.— Earthquakes awaken people out of their sleep both naturally and spiritually.
Earthquakes bring forth both resurrection and revival. Earthquakes open the prison doors, shake foundations, wake up people, set captives free and bring salvation to the lost. Earthquakes occur to bring light to those who sit in dungeons (inner prisons) and in darkness. Luke 21:11.

Hurricanes. — And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;
and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
 Luke 21:25

Wild Fires. — As a wildfire charges through the forest or a flame sprints up the mountainside,

Pestilences, or epidemics of “terrible diseases.”— Pestilence is contagious, virulent, and devastating.
For example, the Black Plague in Europe killed over 30 percent of the population during the late Middle Ages.
In the Biblepestilence is usually a sign of God’s judgment on a nation or people group,  (Deuteronomy 32:241 Chronicles 21:12Ezekiel 7:14–15). The God who protects and blesses is also the God who sends disaster and pestilence when it accomplishes His righteous purposes on earth (Isaiah 45:7Ezekiel 5:16–17Amos 4:10). Pestilence is promised as part of God’s final judgment on the world in Revelation 18:8

Increase of crime.— The Decline in Morality Has Caused an Increase in Crime In an age where violent crime is more dominant than ever and morality is not heard of, there arise many problems that result from each other. The past thirty years, our society has been determined to secularize itself and to separate from many moral standards that root from the Bible.  Matthew 24:12.

Ruining of the earth by mankind.— God will replace human governments, which have been unable to protect the earth, with a perfect heavenly Kingdom. (Daniel 2:44; Matthew 6:9, 10) That Kingdom will be ruled by God’s Son, Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 9:6, 7) When on earth, Jesus exercised miraculous powers over natural elements. (Mark 4:35-41) As the King of God’s Kingdom, Jesus will exercise full control over earth and its elements. He will re-create, or renew, conditions on earth, making them similar to those that existed in the garden of Eden.—Matthew 19:28; Luke 23:43.   Revelation 11:18.

Deterioration of people’s attitudes, as shown by many who are “unthankful, disloyal, . . .
not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness,
betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride.”—2 Timothy 3:1-4.

Breakdown of the family, with people who have “no natural affection”
and children who are “disobedient to parents.”—2 Timothy 3:2, 3.

Love of God growing cold in most people.—Matthew 24:12.
Noteworthy displays of religious hypocrisy.—2 Timothy 3:5.
Increased understanding of Bible prophecies, including those related to the last days.
Daniel 12:4.
Global preaching of the good news of the Kingdom.—Matthew 24:14.

Widespread apathy and even ridicule toward the evidence of the approaching end.
Matthew 24:37-39; 2 Peter 3:3, 4.

The simultaneous fulfillment of all these prophecies, not just a few or even most of them.
Matthew 24:33.

The bible says many things about money, but the heart of the matter is this: money
can become something that rules our lives—an idol of sorts. God’s desire is for us to have
life to the full and He knows that worshiping money will keep us from that.
The Bible neither condemns money nor criticizes those who have it —even a lot of it.
The point is not the amount a person has but his attitude toward what he has or wants to acquire.

KEEP THEM POOR!

Are we living in “the last days”?
Yes. World conditions as well as Bible chronology indicate that the last days began in 1914.
At that time, God’s Kingdom began ruling in heaven, and one of its first actions was to expel
Satan the Devil and the demons from heaven and restrict their activity to the earth. (Revelation 12:7-12)
Satan’s influence on mankind can be seen in many of the bad attitudes and actions that make the last days
“critical times hard to deal with.”—2 Timothy 3:1.
War in your own country is a terrible thing. Some wars are more “just” than others,
but war is always the result of sin (Romans 3:10-18).
At the same time, Ecclesiastes 3:8 declares, “There is…a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” In a world filled with sin, hatred, and evil (Romans 3:10-18), war is inevitable. Christians should not desire war, but neither are Christians to oppose the government God has placed in authority over them (Romans 13:1-4; 1 Peter 2:17). The most important thing we can be doing in a time of war is to be praying for godly wisdom for our leaders, praying for the safety of our military, praying for quick resolution to conflicts, and praying for a minimum of casualties among civilians on both sides (Philippians 4:6-7).

Please pray for peace. Pray for our brethren caught in the middle of these wars,
and let us pray for Christ’s return.
