Your daily energy expenditure has to be balanced, while consisting of three components; basal metabolic rate, diet induced thermogenesis and energy cost from activity. A better way of looking at it would be the human body is much like a car or jet engine. When a human puts calories into their stomach and doesn’t expend that energy the stomach will extend itself…. much like filling your gas tank and not driving your car…. does it need anymore gas? How cells obtain energy!!!
In addition, connections between the circadian clock cycle and cellular metabolism have been regulated by chromatin remodeling. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of this molecular link that connects the circadian clock to the cell cycle and metabolism could provide therapeutic benefit against certain human neoplasia. As we age our melatonin rhythm becomes attenuated making the elderly greater risk for degenerative disease?
Metabolism is the rate at which you burn calories, therefore with accumulating epidemiological and also genetic evidence indicating the disruption of circadian rhythms (several molecular gears constituting clock machinery having been found to establish functional inter-plays with regulators of the cell cycle and alterations in clock function that can lead to aberrant cellular proliferations linked to cancer.)
Generally, macronutrient oxidation in “postprandial state” reflects similarly in diet induced thermogenesis with the sequence of alcohol, protein, carbohydrates and fat. Protein induced thermogenesis has an important effect on satiety which requires less calories to make you feel satisfied, therefore, protein plays a key role in body weight regulation.
Diet induced thermogenesis (DIT) can be defined as the increase in energy expenditure above basal fasting levels divided by energy content of the food ingested and is commonly expressed as a percentage and it’s suggested that thermogenesis and energy expenditure doesn’t play a key role in your health. From my experience of riding a bicycle this summer for endurance…. I feel energized with the exercise gained.
Enter Dr. Challen W. Waychoff III, a Traditional Naturopath who believes the word doctor which in Greek means “to teach” should be just that. He teaches the principle of Ream Biological Theory of Ionization or RBTI, which is the understanding of real health through the food we eat and liquids we drink everyday of our lives which some think to be the vegetarian diet….. The Basis of Immunology!!!
This blog post isn’t intended to be prescriptive, diagnostic or meant to treat any disease or malady of the human body. Therefore, if you have any questions about your specific situation; ask a qualified health care practitioner with whom you trust. Whatever actions you choose to take based upon the RBTI information presented in the blog, you do so based upon your own reasoning and judgment on the guidance offered in the rules of RBTI.
