An Ounce Of Prevention

Is worth a pound of cure  and  in my next blog post  which  is  about treatment.  Sometimes looking  for the right treatment  can  be  like  drawing  a  needle  out of            a haystack.  Therefore,  maybe  some of the tips  I start  forwarding to the visitant should  be  more  like  the Hot Tips of July  based  upon  the  prevention  instead of  treatment. The  first  avenue  to  discover  just  maybe  a  flash  point  destination    cancer quick  fact.

The Beehive State… and when you think prevention  the State of Utah    just might be the best shining example going. How prevention plays a key role in the prevention of cancer rates globally.  Combine those facts  based    off  the Mormon Doctrine  of  Clean  Living,  lower  then  average  smoking rates  and  a  cancer awareness expo …show casing  preventive measures.   Utahns  also  lead  The United States with the lowest rates of cancer. Also     is important to realize global patterns of cancer incidence and mortality rates and trends…???

While  the  medical  and  research  establishment  continues  to  ignore finding  a  cure  for one of  the most deadly  of diseases in the world cancer.   We as citizens must continually educate ourselves on the causes and effects and I  feel being the internet has tons  of  information what better way.  It’s my belief  the best method to prevent cancer…. is  through  awareness  and that includes knowing the fallacies of drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes and  eliminating illegal drug usage. While  being  more  active  with  better sleep could keep womens estrogen recceptors in check  and  everyones level    of melatonin high.

In his book: Dr. Olivier Ameisen,  M.D. whom came to the United States       in 1983 to join the prestigous cardiology department at New York Hospital and  Cornell University  Medical Center.  Where  he  became  an  associate professor of  clinical medicine,  and an associate attending physician is a true testament to prevention.

In that book titled:   The End  of  My Addiction….  Dr. Ameisen  states, Alcoholism claims the lives  of  300 Americans  each day  and  one in  four U.S. Deaths  is attributable  to  alcohol,  tobacco  or  illegal drugs.  This  is  what I believe  for those proponents  of  wanting  to  legalize drugs should   also think of the ramifications of those actions to our health care system.

While also becoming a brilliant cardiologist… Dr. Ameisen developed a profound addiction to alcohol  that produced broken bones with no recall    or  memory,  he  nearly  lost  his  kidneys  and  almost  died   from  massive seizures  during  acute  withdrawal.  Eventually  having  to  give –  up  his practice,  while  fearing  for his life immersed himself into rehab,  therapy and was introduced to  Alcoholics Anonymous … nothing worked.

So he took treatment into his own hands while searching for his own answers for this deadly disease,  he  happen  upon  baclofen.  Which is a muscle relaxant for various types of muscle spasticity. Dr Amiesen work feverously  prescribing  the drug  to  excrete the demons of  alcohol  from    his system.  While experimenting with inceasingly higher dosages until       he finally reached a level high enough to leave him free of any cravings        for alcohol.

With this all said…  you maybe asking yourself… what does all this       jibberish have to do with cancer. What I first thought of when I read  his book is “if” alcohol can train wreck  a  promising cardiologist of his own career in this manner.  What’s  it  doing  to  his  inside…. and  could  this cause cancer and being he’s in the medical profession,  and he  thought            of experimenting with baclofen.  Maybe  we  should  take  the  advice of           the Mormons of Utah  with the lowest drinking and smoking rates they   have  the lowest cancer rate as well…. showing clean living works.
