Leukemia & Lymphoma

  It’s abroad spectrum of diseases affecting the blood, bone marrow and  lymphoid system.  Because leukemia prevents the immune system from working properly,  some patients experience feeling sick, nausea, fever,     chills, night sweats while feeling fatigue and other flu-like symptoms.

   Due to an enlarged liver or spleen weight loss occurs due to a feeling             of fullness regardless. If the leukemic cells invade the central nervous       system then neurological symptoms (headaches) can occur. No single       known cause  and  it’s a quiz  of the vast types of leukemia that exist.

   However,  like other cancers,  results from the mutations in the  DNA       and these mutations may occur spontaneously or result from exposure           to radiation or carcinogenic substances.  Amongst  adults these known  causes natural ionizing radiation  &  some chemicals  although we must be aware of the clinical trials  and  protocol  that can  be of assistance to  leukemia patients.
